Heimdal Church

Heimdal is a borough in the city of Trondheim in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It covers the western and southwestern parts of the municipality. The village area that is also called Heimdal is located in the southeastern part of the borough, near Heimdal Church. This area around the Heimdal Rail Station was until 1964 the center of two separate local municipalities: Tiller and Leinstrand. The western part of Heimdal borough consists of the rural areas of Byneset, also a separate municipality until 1964. Tillerbyen, the eastern part of Heimdal, is a recent development, planned to ease the pressure on central Trondheim from the commercial boom in the city.

Heimdal Station (Norwegian: Heimdal stasjon) is a railway station located in Heimdal in Trondheim, Norway. Located 12 km south of Trondheim Central Station on the Dovre Line, it is served by express trains between Trondheim and Oslo Central Station as well as the regional train services Trøndelag Commuter Rail and Nabotåget, all operated by SJ Norge. The station is staffed.

Heimdal Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Heimdal videregående skole) is one of the largest upper secondary schools in the county of Trøndelag, Norway. It is located about 10 km (6 mi) south of the city centre of Trondheim. The school has approximately 700 students, 140 employees and the current headmaster is Ivar M. Husby.

Kolstad Church (Norwegian: Kolstad kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Kolstad area of the city of Trondheim, about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from the nearby Heimdal Church. It is the church for the Kolstad parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The modern, concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1986 using plans drawn up by the architect Nils Henrik Eggen. The church seats about 460 people.

Kattem is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The area is located in the borough of Heimdal, south of Lundåsen, north of the village of Klett, and southwest of the village of Heimdal. The residential areas were built during the 1970s. It is the site of the Kattem IL sports team.

City Syd is one of the largest shopping centres in Norway, and the largest in Midt-Norge, with a turnover of NOK 1.7 billion in 2004. It is located in Tiller, in the Heimdal area of Trondheim. City Syd opened in 1987 and was remodeled and expanded in 2000. It is now 38,000 m2 and has 72 stores on three floors. It is owned by the Trondheim Cooperative, Trondos and Storebrand.

Trondheim Heliport, Rosten (ICAO: ENRT; Norwegian: Trondheim helikopterplass, Rosten) is a heliport situated in Vestre Rosten in the Tiller neighborhood of Trondheim Norway. Used exclusively for air ambulance missions, it serves as a base for a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) on contract with the National Air Ambulance Service. The original heliport was situated at Brøset Hospital and opened in 1988. The base moved to Vestre Rosten in the mid 1990s.

Tiller Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Tiller videregående skole) is situated in Tiller in southern Trondheim, next to Rosten School and is run by Sør-Trøndelag county municipality. The school was founded in 1986, and is therefore one of the youngest high schools in the county. At the time of its founding, there were no reserved buildings for the institution and the school had to borrow buildings in central Heimdal in the initial phases. In 1999, however, the school could move into brand new buildings and has stayed there since. The school's facilities for the students includes a library with computer terminals for database searches, and a canteen that serves hot and cold meals all school days. in August 2022, the new Tiller primary school will be opened for 750 pupils.

The 2008-09 Biathlon World Cup - World Cup 8 was the eighth event of the World Cup season and was held in Trondheim, Norway, from Thursday March 19 until Sunday March 22, 2009.

Tiller or Tillerbyen is a neighborhood in the borough of Heimdal in the city of Trondheim, Norway. It is located in the southwestern part of Trondheim Municipality in Trøndelag county. Tiller Church is located in the neighborhood. The European route E6 highway passes through Tiller from north to south, connecting Trondheim with Melhus. The highway was rebuilt as a four-lane motorway from 2011-2019. Tiller has large commercial areas including shopping centers and around 300 businesses, especially in Tillerbyen. Among the shopping centers in this area, City Syd is the best known. Tiller IL is the sports club based in Tiller.

Selsbakk is a neighbourhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Midtbyen. It is approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of the city centre. The local sports club is Selsbakk IF.

Byåsen Church (Norwegian: Byåsen kirke, historically Hallset Church) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Byåsen neighborhood in the city of Trondheim. It is the church for the Byåsen parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The modern, concrete church was built in a hexagonal design in 1974 using plans drawn up by the architects Johan Arnstad and Ottar Heggenhougen. The church seats about 525 people.
