Shuqba cave

Wadi Natuf (Arabic: وادي الناطوف, Wadi al-Natuf or Wadi en-Natuf; Hebrew: נחל נטוף) is a wadi in the West Bank, in the north of the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate of Palestine and flows into Israel, eventually feeding the Ayalon River. The Natufian culture–an archaeological culture of the Levant region–is named after the wadi. Along with nearby Shuqba cave, Wadi Natuf has been nominated as a tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site in the State of Palestine.

Shuqba (Arabic: شقبة) is a Palestinian town in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, located 17 kilometers northwest of the city of Ramallah in Palestine. Shuqba has a total area of 13,990 dunams, and the built-up area comprises 616 dunams. Shuqba was home to approximately 4,497 inhabitants in 2007.

Shabtin is a Palestinian village in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate of the State of Palestine, in the central West Bank.

Route 446 is a regional arterial road that begins at the Shilat junction in Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut in the south, and ends at the Baruchin Interchange on Highway 5 in the north. The length of the road is 31 km and almost all of it passes outside the Green Line. The most interesting point on the road is the crossing of Nahal Shilo north of Beit Aryeh-Ofarim.

Route 211 is a regional arterial road in the southern Israel, leading from the Nitzana Border Crossing in the west, through the shoulder of Nitsana, Shadmat Sheizaf, Shunra sands and the Kora Valley to Ramat Boker. The road ends after 41 km, at the Tlalim junction in the center of the Negev, about 33 km (21 mi) south of Beersheba.

Nili (Hebrew: נִילִ"י) is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank. Located 3.8 kilometres east of the Green line and a few hundred metres from the Palestinian village of Deir Qaddis, it is organised as a community settlement and falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 1,878. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.

Na'ale (Hebrew: נַעֲלֶה, lit. 'Exalted') is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank. Located near Modi'in, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 2,608. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.The settlement was built on land confiscated from the Palestinian towns of Al-Ittihad (Jammala), Deir Qaddis and Shabtin.

Deir Abu Mash'al (Arabic: دير ابو مشعل) is a Palestinian village in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate of the State of Palestine, located 24 kilometers (15 mi) west of Ramallah in the northern West Bank. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), the village had a population of 4,233 inhabitants in 2017.

Deir Qaddis (Arabic: دير قديس) is a Palestinian town in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate in the central West Bank, located sixteen kilometers west of Ramallah. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the town had a population of approximately 1,942 inhabitants in 2007. The town consists of 8,207 dunams, of which 438 dunams are classified as built-up area. As a result of 1995 accords, 7.7% of Deir Qaddis' land was transferred to the Palestinian National Authority for civil affairs, so-called Area B, but Israel still retains full control of 92.3% of the town, being in Area C.

Qibya (Arabic: قبية) is a Palestinian village in the West Bank, located 30 kilometers (19 mi) northwest of Ramallah and exactly north of the large Israeli city of Modi'in. It is part of the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, it had a population of approximately 4,901 in 2007.It is known for the 1953 Qibya massacre.

The Qibya massacre occurred during "Operation Shoshana", a reprisal operation that occurred in October 1953 when Israeli troops under Ariel Sharon attacked the village of Qibya in the West Bank. At least sixty-nine Palestinian villagers were killed, two-thirds of them women and children. Forty-five houses, a school, and a mosque were destroyed. The attack followed cross-border raids from the Jordanian-occupied West Bank and Israeli reprisals, particularly the attack on Qibya, were a response to the Yehud attack in which an Israeli woman and her two children were killed in their home.The act was condemned by the U.S. State Department, the UN Security Council, and by Jewish communities worldwide. The State Department described the raid as "shocking", and used the occasion to confirm publicly that economic aid to Israel had been suspended previously, for other non-compliance regarding the 1949 Armistice Agreements. The operation was codenamed Operation Shoshana by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). It was carried out by two Israeli units at night: a paratroop company and Unit 101, a special forces unit of the IDF.

Mir Brachfeld is an Haredi Jewish yeshiva in the Israeli settlement of Modi'in Illit . It was founded by Rabbi Nosson Tzvi Finkel as a branch of the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem. Rabbi Aryeh Finkel led the yeshiva until his death in 2016.
