2007 LPGA Championship

The 2005 LPGA Championship was the 51st LPGA Championship, played June 9–12 at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland. This was the second of four major championships on the LPGA Tour in 2005. Two-time defending champion Annika Sörenstam won for the third consecutive year, three strokes ahead of runner-up Michelle Wie, a 15-year-old amateur. It was the ninth of Sörenstam's ten major titles, and was also consecutive major wins, as she won the Kraft Nabisco Championship by eleven strokes in March. Wie's inclusion created some controversy, as the event was traditionally for professionals only; she turned pro four months later in October. Starting with this edition, the LPGA Championship was played at Bulle Rock for five consecutive years, through 2009; the previous eleven were held in nearby Delaware at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington.

The 2008 LPGA Championship was the 54th LPGA Championship, played June 5–8 at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland. This was the second of four major championships on the LPGA Tour in 2008. The champion was tour rookie Yani Tseng, age 19, with a playoff victory over Maria Hjorth. The two finished regulation play at 276 (−12), one stroke ahead of Annika Sörenstam and Lorena Ochoa. Tseng birdied the fourth extra hole for her first career win on the LPGA Tour and became the first rookie to win a major in a decade.This championship was played at Bulle Rock for five consecutive seasons, 2005 through 2009.

The 2009 LPGA Championship was the 55th LPGA Championship, played June 11–14 at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland. This was the second of four major championships on the LPGA Tour in 2009. Tour rookie Anna Nordqvist, age 22, won her first major title, four strokes ahead of runner-up Lindsey Wright. It was Nordqvist's first career win on the LPGA Tour. Beginning in 2005, this championship was played at Bulle Rock for five consecutive seasons, ending with this edition.

The 2006 LPGA Championship was the 52nd LPGA Championship, played June 8–11 at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland. This was the second of four major championships on the LPGA Tour in 2006. Se Ri Pak, age 28, won her third LPGA Championship with a playoff victory over Karrie Webb. She three-putted the 72nd hole to fall into a tie with Webb at 280 (−8), one stroke ahead of Ai Miyazato and Mi Hyun Kim. Webb had birdie opportunities on the final two holes, but parred both.After a short tee shot on the first extra hole, Pak hit her long approach shot within inches for birdie to gain her fifth major title and 23rd win on the LPGA Tour, the first in two years.This championship was played at Bulle Rock for five consecutive seasons, 2005 through 2009.

Bulle Rock Golf Course is a golf course in the eastern United States, located in Havre de Grace, Maryland. It is named for Bulle Rock, the first thoroughbred racehorse brought to America. It hosted the LPGA Championship, a women's major, from 2005 through 2009.Bulle Rock was designed by noted course architect Pete Dye and opened 25 years ago in 1998. In 2002, Manekin, LLC, Clark Turner, and H&S Properties Development Corporation purchased the golf course and surrounding land and properties from original owner, Ed Abel. The golf course has consistently won awards.

Sion Hill is a National Historic Landmark in Havre de Grace, Maryland, notable as an example of high-style Federal architecture and as the home of a family of prominent officers of the United States Navy. Work began at Sion Hill around 1785 for the Rev. John Ireland, but progressed slowly, as the unfinished house was sold in 1795 to Gordon Denison. In 1799 the still-unfinished house passed to Denison's daughter Minerva, who was to marry Commodore John Rodgers in 1806. Together, they finished the house. Descendants of John and Minerva Rodgers still own the house today, and have included son John Rodgers II, who commanded ironclads in the US Civil War, Rear Admiral John Augustus Rodgers (1848-1933) and his son, naval aviator John Rodgers (1881-1926).

WHGM (1330 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an Oldies/Classic Hits format. Licensed to Havre De Grace, Maryland, United States, its daylight signal covers from the Eastern Baltimore area, including Towson and Bel Air to Elkton and Newark. The station is owned by Steve Clendenin, through licensee Maryland Media One, LLC. The station began broadcasting on May 15, 1948, owned by Jason & Virginia Pate of Havre de Grace. After WWII, Mr. Pate applied for the first radio license in Havre de Grace. The station later began broadcasting on FM as WHDG which in the late 1980s, was sold to Delmarva Broadcasting. The station broadcasts with an omni-directional signal 24- hours-a-day. Studios are in the Arts & Entertainment district of Havre De Grace at 331 North Union Avenue. Long-time Baltimore television personality Royal Parker began his broadcasting career on the station in the 1940s, when it was WASA, hosting a music program called the Royal Record Review.On June 6, 2016, WHGM changed its format to adult hits, branded as "Smash Hits WHGM", it also broadcasts on FM translators W263CQ 100.5 FM Chesapeake City, Maryland; W284BE 104.7 FM Havre de Grace, Maryland; and W298CG 107.5 FM Bel Air, Maryland. In late 2018 or early 2019, WHGM dropped the "Smash Hits" branding and rebranded as "WHGM Gold" and changed its format from adult hits to an Oldies/Classic hits format playing music from the '60s, '70s and '80s.

Swansbury is a historic home and complex located at Aberdeen, Harford County, Maryland, United States. The buildings are clustered together near the center of the 86.78-acre (351,200 m2) forested property. The complex consists of a five-bay, two-story, multi-part, frame residence and several period frame dependencies. The oldest part of the house dates to about 1760, with major Federal style additions made in the late 18th or every early 19th century. Also on the property are an array of eleven frame outbuildings (barns, wash house, poultry houses, meathouse, etc.) which seem to date from the early 19th century. The grounds are dotted with ancient exotic specimen trees and shrubs.Swansbury was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Havre de Grace Racetrack was an American horse racing track on Post Road in Havre de Grace, Harford County, Maryland. Nicknamed "The Graw," it operated from August 24, 1912, to 1950. For a time, it was owned by the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association and also by the notorious gambler Arnold Rothstein. The Havre de Grace Handicap was one of the important races in the American northeast for many years. Its winners include U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductees Roamer, Crusader, Seabiscuit, Sun Beau, Equipoise, and Challedon. Some Hall of Fame horses lost this race. In the 1919 running, Cudgel beat two Hall of Famers: Exterminator and Triple Crown champion Sir Barton. On September 29, 1920, Man o' War won the Potomac Handicap at Havre de Grace. His son, U.S. Triple Crown winner War Admiral, won his first race here on April 25, 1936. The track was located halfway between the cities of Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. In the 1940s, it began losing customers to Delaware Park Racetrack and Garden State Park Racetrack in New Jersey. By 1949, its owners were forced to turn over some of their allotted racing days to Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course. In January 1951, the Havre de Grace Racetrack was sold to Alfred G. Vanderbilt II, owner of Pimlico Race Course, and Morris Schapiro of Laurel Park Racecourse. who closed the facility and transferred the track's racing allotment dates to their own tracks. The Havre de Grace Racetrack is now the property of the Maryland National Guard, which uses the former clubhouse as offices. The grandstand, minus the canopy, has been converted into a warehouse. Nothing of the actual track remains, but an aerial view reveals a curved line of trees along the final turn.

Havre de Grace (), abbreviated HdG, is a city in Harford County, Maryland. It is situated at the mouth of the Susquehanna River and the head of Chesapeake Bay. It is named after the port city of Le Havre, France, which in full was once Le Havre de Grâce (French, "Harbor of Grace"). The population was 12,952 at the 2010 U.S. census. In 2014, Smithsonian magazine called it one of the 20 best small U.S. towns to visit.

Havre de Grace High School (HDGHS or HHS) is a four-year public high school in Havre de Grace in Harford County, Maryland, United States. The school is located near the southeast corner of Harford County where the Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake Bay. The school motto is "Enter to Learn — Leave to Serve."
