Beaver Creek is an unincorporated community in eastern Washington County, Maryland, United States. Its population was 251 as of the 2010 census. It is located southeast of Hagerstown and north of Boonsboro near U.S. Route 40 and Maryland Route 66. The community is officially included in the Hagerstown Metropolitan Area (Hagerstown-Martinsburg, MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area). This town was founded in 1766. Although Beaver Creek is home to several historic landmarks such as Beaver Creek School and the Doub's Mill Historic District, most of the community's development has occurred since the 1990s, with new and upscale housing for professionals from Hagerstown and from the Washington, D.C. Metro area. The area is known for its picturesque countryside with rolling hills and a backdrop of South Mountain.

The Doub's Mill Historic District is a national historic district that encompasses a portion of the small community of Beaver Creek, Maryland, dating to the late 18th century and early 19th century. The dominating structure is Doub's Mill, a grain mill built between 1811 and 1821 by John Funk. Using local limestone, the neighborhood displays an unusual consistency of style and construction. In addition to Doub's Mill, there are five other homes and numerous outbuildings, all originally part of the mill complex. The stone structures are built in the German tradition, and one has a date stone inscribed 1782, at which time the area belonged to Henry and Christian Newcomer, Mennonites of Swiss-German origin.Doub's Mill Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Also on the property is a large stone bank barn and springhouse. It is one of two historic farm complexes located in Ditto Farm Regional Park, along with the Henry McCauley Farm.Ditto Knolls was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Henry McCauley Farm is a historic farm complex in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, United States. The house is a four-bay, two-story brick dwelling built between 1830 and 1850, with a four bay ell and a small one-story shed-roofed addition. The walls are set on low limestone foundations. The property also includes a large stone and frame bank barn and a metal windmill for pumping water. It is one of two historic farm complexes located in Ditto Farm Regional Park, along with Ditto Knolls.The Henry McCauley Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Maples is a historic home located at Smithsburg, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story, six-bay stone and log dwelling trimmed in black and white. The house features a rather elaborate neoclassical cornice with dentils matching the entrance frontispiece and extending along the entire length of the house. The stone section postdates the log structure and was erected between 1790 and 1810.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
