Bat Yam

On 22 December 2013, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a pressure cooker bomb exploded on a public bus in Bat Yam, Israel. All casualties were averted because a few minutes earlier, a passenger on the bus had examined the contents of an unattended bag, and saw what looked like a bomb inside, which led all passengers and the driver to exit the vehicle. The bombing shattered or blew out all windows on the bus, and significantly damaged the interior. On 2 January 2014, the Shin Bet announced it had arrested four Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives for the bombing, including one individual who was a Palestinian Authority police officer. The Islamic Jihad cell had reportedly been planning a larger bombing in Tel Aviv as well. It was the first terrorist bombing in Israel since the November 21, 2012 bus bombing in Tel Aviv.

Neve Nof Tower (Hebrew: מגדל נווה נוף) is a residential tower located in the Tel Aviv District city of Bat Yam, Israel. Its construction was completed in 2013 and it became the tallest residential building in Israel, taking the title from Park Tzameret’s ‘’W Tower’’. The tower topped out at 158.5 meters (520 ft) and includes 42 floors. The tower’s planning started in 2006 by the Gal Marom architects office, within a plan to develop the area of south Bat Yam. First, the tower’s floor count was supposed to be 25, but in 2010, before the construction work started the plan was changed. The project’s area is 5,000 square meters and includes 162 apartments, most of them facing the Mediterranean Sea, which is 350 meters from the tower. The Neve Nof tower includes a lobby with a beverages bar and a gym. Hotels, parks and the local boardwalk are located near the tower. A significant portion of the apartments was purchased by nonresidents from France and the United States.

The Murder of Helena Rapp occurred on 24 May 1992 when a Palestinian stabbed her to death in the Israeli coastal city of Bat Yam. Rapp was fifteen when she was killed. The attack shocked the Israeli public as one of the more prominent of a series of stabbing attacks that took place in Israel during the early 1990s. Following the attack, riots broke out in Bat Yam until they were dispersed by police five days later. The attacks signified to many Israelis a deterioration of their personal security. The killer was later freed as part of a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas.

Al Gal is a beach area located on the west coast of Israel near the city of Bat Yam. It is an exposed beach break and reef break that has fairly consistent surf, specially during the months of summer when most of the surf comes in the form of wind waves. Al Gal is regarded to be one of the best surf spots in the Middle East.

Bat Yam–Yoseftal railway station is a railway station on the Rosh HaAyin–Beersheba line. It is located at the Yoseftal interchange on the Ayalon Highway, on the border between Bat Yam and Holon, just south of Tel Aviv, Israel.

Adam's Rock (he: סלע אדם – Sela Adam; ar: حجر آدم) or Adam's Island (he: אי אדם – Ie Adam; ar: جزيرة آدم) is a tiny Israeli island about half a kilometer west of Bat Yam. A smaller rock (island) is located 10 m west of Adam Rock.

The Talpiot College of Education (המכללה האקדמית תלפיות) is a religious teacher training college in Holon, Israel. It prepares teachers “in the spirit of the Mamlachti dati (state religious) education system”. It was founded in 1937 by Jacob Alishkovsky and was originally called the "Talpiot Beit Midrash for Kindergarten Teachers". The college is accredited by the Council for Higher Education in Israel and offers specialized Bachelor of Education degrees in the following tracks: early childhood; elementary school; secondary school; special education; educational counseling. The college established Midreshet Aviv in 1998 as an institution of Torah Study “lishma” (for its own sake). Midreshet Binat is also associated with the college.

The Bat Yam Municipal Stadium (Hebrew: האצטדיון העירוני בת ים, HaEtztadion HaIroni Bat Yam) is a football stadium in the Tel Aviv District city of Bat Yam, Israel. It has a capacity of 3,100. Opened in 1991, the stadium is located in the south-east of Bat Yam, and replaced the former municipal stadium that was in the south-west. It was host to Beitar Bat Yam, Maccabi Bat Yam, and later, Maccabi Ironi Bat Yam and Hapoel Bat Yam, all of which are now defunct.

Holon (Hebrew: חוֹלוֹן (audio) ) is a city on the central coastal strip of Israel, south of Tel Aviv. Holon is part of the metropolitan Gush Dan area. In 2019 it had a population of 196,282. Holon has the second-largest industrial zone in Israel, after Haifa. Its jurisdiction is 19,200 dunams and its population is about 194,273 residents as of 2018 according to CBS data.

Bat Yam-Komemiyut railway station is a railway station on the Rosh HaAyin–Beersheba line. It is located at the Komemiyut interchange of the Ayalon Highway, on the border between Bat Yam and Holon.

Giv'at Aliyah is a residential neighborhood of Tel Aviv, Israel. It is located in the southern part of Jaffa.

The Peres Center for Peace, located in Jaffa, Israel, is an independent non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization founded in 1996 by Nobel Peace Laureate and former President of Israel Shimon Peres. Its aim is to further Peres' vision of people in the Middle East working together to build peace through socio-economic cooperation and development and people-to-people interaction.
