Vale of Glamorgan (Welsh: Bro Morgannwg) is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Alun Cairns, a Conservative.It is a bellwether constituency, having been won by the party with a plurality of seats in every general election since the seat was created in 1983. The constituency is to retain its name but its boundaries altered, as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and under the June 2023 final recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Wales for the next United Kingdom general election.

Vale of Glamorgan (Welsh: Bro Morgannwg) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of eight constituencies in the South Wales Central electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to eight constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

Walterston (Welsh: Tre-walter) is a small farming hamlet just north of Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales and west of Dyffryn. Walterston lies just to west of the Five Mile Lane leading down to Waycock Cross, Barry. The hamlet is very small and has just a few farms, all of which are twelfth to thirteenth century in origin. There are also several houses of which the two largest are the thatched 'Walterston Fach' and its neighbouring 'Trewalter Fawr'. The old monastic village of Llancarfan lies a further two miles to the west.

Llancarfan is a rural village and community in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The village, located west of Barry and near Cowbridge, has a well-known parish church, the site of Saint Cadoc's 6th-century clas, famed for its learning. Cainnech of Aghaboe, Caradoc of Llancarfan and many other Welsh holy men studied there. Antiquarian Iolo Morganwg was born in the hamlet of Pen-onn near Llancarfan. At the 2001 census, the community had a population of 736. In the 2011 census, the population was 747. Most of the village lies within a conservation area designated by the local authority in 1971. Buildings listed as being of special historic interest include The Fox and Hounds public house, the former Bethlehem Chapel, the former Wesleyan Chapel, Chapel Cottage, Great House, Corner House and Llancarfan Primary School. The community includes village of Moulton. The spacious church, which in the later Middle Ages belonged to Gloucester Abbey, contains a stoup and interesting remains of a rood screen, now adapted as a reredos. In early 2008, architects discovered medieval wall painting in the church under layers of whitewash, including one of only three depictions of St George to be found in churches in Wales. Conservation-restoration work to reveal the entire mural was completed in 2013.The community forms half of the Rhoose electoral ward for elections to the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

St Cadoc's Church, Llancarfan is a church in Llancarfan, in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales. It dates from the 13th century and has been a Grade I listed building since 28 January 1963.The church is one of several churches in Wales dedicated to St Cadoc, but it was at Llancarfan that the saint is believed to have served as abbot of, or possibly founded, a monastery of some importance. It is claimed that the name "Llancarfan" means "church of the stags" though this explanation is disputed. Other explanations are that the Welsh word 'carfan' meaning a row or a ridge may refer to a boundary or that it is named after a person called Carfan. The church once had a chancel window said to be a masterpiece of stained glass. During the reign of Oliver Cromwell a local man named Whitton Bush destroyed the window by repeatedly beating it while shouting "Down with the Whore of Babylon!"In 2013 restoration work was carried out on medieval wall paintings discovered at the church in 2008. When layers of limewash were removed, it was found that the topics depicted include the Seven Deadly Sins and Saint George and the Dragon. Further investigations suggested that the paintings are among the best surviving examples in the whole of the UK, and that the depiction of Saint George and the Dragon is the largest on the subject from that period, as well as the most complete. Another painting deals with the unusual topic of "Death and the Gallant". Their date has been estimated at the second half of the 15th century.

Moulton is a hamlet in the Vale of Glamorgan, southeastern Wales. It lies off the A4226 road on the road, northwest of Barry and east of Llancarfan. The landmark of note is the Three Horse Shoes pub and restaurant which attracts visitors from all across the Vale of Glamorgan. To the south of Moulton is the small hamlet of Sutton. There has been evidence of settlement in the area since at least the 4th Century with the discovery in 1956 of Roman ruins in the area dating as far back as the 2nd Century. The local Ty Uchaf farmhouse could be the oldest inhabited home in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Penmark (Welsh: Pen-marc) is a rural village south-west of Barry near Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, in South Wales. The village is a parish and is a linear village. It has a parish church along the main road running through the village. Penmark is located near the international airport for Wales, Cardiff International Airport.

Bonvilston (Welsh: Tresimwn) is a village in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The village is situated on the A48 about four miles east of Cowbridge and near the Welsh capital city of Cardiff. The population in 2011 was 392.

Rhoose is the name of an electoral ward in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, which covers its namesake village, Rhoose, as well as Penmark and the neighbouring community of Llancarfan. The ward elects three county councillors to the Vale of Glamorgan Council.According to the 2011 census the population of the ward was 6,907.

The A4226 (better known as The Five Mile Lane) is a main road linking Bonvilston to Barry and Cardiff International Airport (CIA) in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.

Llantrithyd (also Llantriddyd) is a rural village and community in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The Aubrey Baronets were lords of the manor of Llantrithyd for centuries: the family died out in the 1850s.

Pant-y-Ffynnon Quarry is a stone quarry in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, around 3 kilometers east of Cowbridge. It contains fissure fill deposits dating to the Late Triassic (Rhaetian), hosted within karsts of Carboniferous aged limestone, primarily the Friars Point Limestone Formation. Remains of numerous small vertebrates, notably archosaurs, are known from the fissure fills in the quarry, similar to other Late Triassic-Early Jurassic fissure fill deposits known from Southwest England and southern Wales.
