Bloomington GO Station

The Vandorf Sideroad CNR Bridge is a railway bridge in the community of Vandorf, in the town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. The bridge carries the line known as the Canadian National Railway Bala Subdivision and crosses Woodbine Avenue diagonally at Vandorf Sideroad. The concrete bridge abutments were built in 1950, and the builder's plate on the bridge confirms the steel deck was constructed in 1952 by the Central Bridge Company in Trenton, Ontario. It is mapped at approximately 302 metres above sea level.

Preston Lake is a community located in the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada. The community is centred on Preston Lake, a natural glacier kettle lake, immediately north-east of the intersection of Bloomington Road and Woodbine Avenue, east of Highway 404, near Aurora. The Preston Lake community has approximately 700 residents divided into three distinct sub-communities: the North Shore, the Association of North Shore Ratepayers (private gated community); Preston Lake Beach Club on the west shore (luxury estate properties); and the Preston Lake South Shore Property Owners Association (upper middle-class). These three distinct homeowner's associations form the Pride & Preston Lake Community Association, a not-for-profit corporation, consisting of three elected directors (one from each residential shore - north, south, west), and an executive committee of volunteers, which includes a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary.

Vandorf is a hamlet located in the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, in Canada. It is the most westerly settlement within the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. With a population of approximately 722, Vandorf consists mainly of estate residential homes and farms.

Lake St. George is a kettle lake in Richmond Hill, Ontario and now located in the conservation area managed by the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). The lake is named for Henri St. George, French-born son of French Royalist, and one-time settler in Upper Canada Quetton St. George. Henri St. George settled in Upper Canada in 1847 and established his Glen Lonely estate in Richmond Hill, which contained the lake that bears his name.

Gormley GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, serving Oak Ridges and the Whitchurch–Stouffville community of Gormley. It was the terminus of the Richmond Hill line train service from when it opened on 5 December 2016 until 28 June 2021, when the line was extended north to Bloomington GO Station.The station is located on the north side of Stouffville Road (York Regional Road 14) on the east side of the railway, west of Highway 404. It features a single platform with heated shelters and a snow-melting system, a station building, a bus loop, a kiss and ride and 850 car parking spaces. The station building has a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification.

Gormley is a hamlet in York Region, Ontario, Canada that overlaps parts of Richmond Hill, and Whitchurch–Stouffville, two municipalities within the Greater Toronto Area. It was divided into two parts due to the construction of Highway 404. A portion of Gormley situated within Richmond Hill's political boundaries is subject to "Heritage Conservation District" controls. A post office in Gormley (East) serves as the mailing address for the Whitchurch–Stouffville communities of Bethesda, Gormley, Preston Lake, Vandorf, and Wesley Corners.Gormley Road East, on the south side of Stouffville Road, leads to Gormley Court and a dead-end at the railroad tracks. On the other side of the tracks, accessible by Leslie Street, is Gormley Road West. The community had a railway station until it was demolished in the early 1970s. Many of the houses are approximately 100 years old. The community celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2005.

Wesley Corners is a community situated in the Town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. The hamlet is located at the intersection of Woodbine Avenue (east of Highway 404) and York Regional Road 15/ Aurora Road. It was originally known as Hacking's Corners, after Rev. James Hacking who settled there in 1817. A Methodist Church was constructed of logs on the north-west corner in 1840; it was replaced by the current brick structure in 1881. The hamlet eventually became known as Wesley, in honour of the founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley.Today a service station and coffee shop are found on the south-west corner, and an auto repair shop on the south-east corner. Ducks Unlimited, a wetland and wildlife conservation organization, is on the north-east corner.

Bethesda is a hamlet in York Region, Ontario, Canada, in the town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. The hamlet is centred at the intersection of Warden Avenue and Bethesda Road in the south-eastern region of Whitchurch-Stouffville; it flourished around 1875.Mennonites settled in the area starting with Christian Steckley, who came from Pennsylvania in 1795.The community gained distinction with the formation of a private telephone company, the Bethesda and Stouffville Telephone Association in 1904, with 1188 users from Newmarket to Markham by 1930. The entire system was purchased by Bell Telephone in 1960.

Lake Wilcox is a kettle lake in the Oak Ridges neighbourhood of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. The lake measures 1.5 kilometers across and covers 55.6 hectares or 0.55 square kilometres, making it the largest kettle lake on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Lake Wilcox, Lake St. George and their associated wetlands form a "provincially significant wetland".The lake is named after William Willcocks (1735/36-1813), who was a merchant in York, Upper Canada and became mayor of Cork, Ireland in 1793 (after his return from Upper Canada). Willcocks and his family moved to Upper Canada, where his cousin Peter Russell became interim administrator after the departure of John Graves Simcoe in 1796. Willcocks "was an active land speculator" who acquired significant holdings in Upper Canada, including 800 acres (3.2 km2) surrounding the lake. The name of the lake was originally Lake Willcocks, but it was corrupted over time to its present spelling.Willcocks resided in York and Markham, but died in the former in 1813.

Bruce's Mill Conservation Area (BMCA) is a conservation area located off Stouffville Road in the town of Whitchurch–Stouffville, Regional Municipality of York, Canada. The conservation area is about 108 hectares (267 acres) in size. BMCA is home to a diverse ecosystem, including 1.2 hectares of wetlands and 44 hectares of deciduous, coniferous and mixed forest. It is owned and managed by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). BMCA was established in 1961, after 52.6 hectares of land were purchased by the then Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. At the time, several buildings and a road system existed on the land. Today, the only historic buildings that remain include the mill attendant's house and the water-powered mill building. BMCA offers visitors an array of activities and attractions, including picnicking, hiking, soccer and baseball fields, a golf driving range, bird watching, nature viewing, a Treetop Trekking aerial course and a BMX track. The park's regular operating season runs from mid-April to Thanksgiving weekend each year, weather permitting. During the regular season, people can enter the park for free during weekdays, but must pay a small fee for weekend visits. Large groups of people can also choose to book a private onsite picnic area if they wish. The park also opens briefly in early spring for the Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival.
