Lake Wilcox

Lake St. George is a kettle lake in Richmond Hill, Ontario and now located in the conservation area managed by the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). The lake is named for Henri St. George, French-born son of French Royalist, and one-time settler in Upper Canada Quetton St. George. Henri St. George settled in Upper Canada in 1847 and established his Glen Lonely estate in Richmond Hill, which contained the lake that bears his name.

Oak Ridges is an unincorporated community of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, and has been part of the city since 1971. It forms the northern portion of the municipality's boundary, where it borders Aurora. Located about 20 km north of the northern border of Toronto and about 35 km from Downtown Toronto, it has a population of 18,520 (2016). The community developed around Lake Wilcox, the largest lake in the area, and has continued to expand slowly since its annexation by the Town (now City) of Richmond Hill. In the 1990s, Oak Ridges experienced moderate growth, which spurred environmental action by numerous organizations. Population has grown significantly as a result of development initiatives along Bayview Avenue. The Oak Ridges Community Center was built and completed in June 2012 to accommodate community demand.It is located north of the main urban area of Richmond Hill (which begins just south of Lake Wilcox), east of King City, immediately south of Aurora, and west of Whitchurch-Stouffville. Oak Ridges can sometimes be considered separate from Richmond Hill, given the differences in current and future development patterns and plans and a large natural area forming a physical separation between Oak Ridges and urban Richmond Hill.

Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada. It has been represented by Leah Taylor Roy, a Liberal, since 2021. It encompasses a portion of Ontario previously included in the electoral districts of Newmarket—Aurora, Oak Ridges—Markham, and Richmond Hill.Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the dropping of the writs for the 2015 federal election.

Académie de la Moraine is a French first language elementary school located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. It serves the French population of the GTA. If the French language is not the student's first language, an admission test can be taken, to allow the enrollment. The school also offers busing for students that requires said service. Its former location was 13200 Yonge Street in Richmond Hill. However, after George Street P.S. closed, Moraine took up its space. George St P.S students went to Aurora Senior/Wellington P.S. Nonetheless, in 2019, after remodelling, reconstruction, and upgrading the school facilities, the school has returned to its previous address — 13200 Yonge Street. In the past, the school have had some split classes, such as a class with both grade 5 and 6 at the same time.

Bond Lake (Ontario) is a 55-acre (22 ha) glacial kettle lake in the Oak Ridges Moraine. It is located on the east side of Yonge Street in the north end of Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Cardinal Carter Catholic High School, often shortened to Cardinal Carter, is an International Baccalaureate high school in Aurora, Ontario, Canada in the York Catholic District School Board. Cardinal Carter was established in 1989, commencing operation for grades eight and nine at Our Lady of the Annunciation elementary school. Once construction of the school was completed, service boundaries were defined by the school board to alleviate overcrowding of other Roman Catholic schools in the region, notably St. Robert and St. Elizabeth high schools in Thornhill, and Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket. It takes its name after Cardinal Gerald Emmett Carter, former archbishop of Toronto. It is also sometimes confused with Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts.

Gormley GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, serving Oak Ridges and the Whitchurch–Stouffville community of Gormley. It was the terminus of the Richmond Hill line train service from when it opened on 5 December 2016 until 28 June 2021, when the line was extended north to Bloomington GO Station.The station is located on the north side of Stouffville Road (York Regional Road 14) on the east side of the railway, west of Highway 404. It features a single platform with heated shelters and a snow-melting system, a station building, a bus loop, a kiss and ride and 850 car parking spaces. The station building has a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification.

The Aurora Radial Railway Bridge Abutment is all that remains of a bridge that was built across the Grand Trunk Railway line in 1899 as part of the Metropolitan Street Railway Company which built its radial line from Toronto along Yonge Street through Aurora, ending at Lake Simcoe. The bridge was removed in 1922 when radial tracks were relocated to share the Yonge Street underpass under the Grand Trunk Railway line. The radial line eventually closed in 1930 with the tracks removed the following year. The abutment is the last large remaining artefact of the radial railway in Aurora.The abutment is described as a "sturdy, tapered, limestone pillar" with the "stone of the pillar is expertly laid and is typical of the construction methods of the era".The abutment is a protected historical structure located in Aurora, Ontario. It is designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. The structure was designated by the Town of Aurora in late 2006.

Holy Trinity School (HTS) is a private, co-educational, university preparatory institution located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and affiliated with the Anglican Church of Canada. There are approximately 825 students currently enrolled from junior kindergarten to grade 12. HTS is an accredited member of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools.

Richmond Hill High School is a secondary school located in the City of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. It is the second oldest high school in York Region Municipality (and behind Newmarket High School c. 1843), being established in the mid-19th century. The school is a host to several regional special education programs, including an Advanced Placement Program, Alternative Education Program, Cooperative Education Program, Developmentally-Delayed Program, and an Orthopedic Program. The school has a small gifted program along with all other secondary schools in York Region.In the 2016-2017 Fraser Institute rankings, Richmond Hill ranked 19th in the province of Ontario and 7th in York Region, with an overall score of 8.7/10.

Temperanceville is an unincorporated community in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada, straddling two geopolitical jurisdictions, King and Richmond Hill. It is located at the southeastern edge of King and northwestern part of Richmond Hill, east of King City and adjacent to the western part of Oak Ridges. The settlement became home to James and Mary Love in 1804, the former being a cobbler and farmer who was also a teetotaler.: 104  Their home would be used for church services, leading to the settlement being named 'Love's Corner'.: 104  The settlement also had an active temperance movement, with at least five temperance societies active in the area by the 1890s.: 104  Its name was changed in the early 1900s when the prohibition campaign became popular through the promotion of 'temperance values'. This campaign would later help cripple the hotel industry in the area. Temperanceville would grow to boast a post office, several businesses, and a market. Today, the most popular part of Temperanceville is the Temperanceville Park, which now has ample parking, a soccer field, and a large children's play area. In King Township, it is part of electoral Ward 1.
