Fulham Railway Bridge

Deodar Road is a street in Putney, in the London Borough of Wandsworth. There are no other streets named Deodar Road in Great Britain. It was formerly the site of a mansion called The Cedars and a terrace of houses built in 1853. This was on the site of Copthall, a villa rebuilt in the 1620s. Next to this was a mansion, Putney House, built in the 1680s; it was converted into a College for Civil Engineers in 1839 and demolished in 1857. When the railway and bridge crossing the Thames was built (1887-9) by The London and South West Railway it more or less went straight through the terrace of houses. The area fell into decline and the Cedars was demolished about 1890. The road was named after The Cedars; the Himalayan cedar, Cedrus deodara. It was previously called Ranelagh Road. The odd numbered houses back on to the river.

The Eight Bells is a pub in Fulham High Street, close to the northern end of Putney Bridge. The Eight Bells was the site of an early dog show, with a toy spaniel show in 1851.In 1886, the original wooden Fulham Bridge was replaced by Putney Bridge to the west, and the Eight Bells received compensation for the loss of trade, as that end of Fulham High Street now became a quiet cul-de-sac.From 1886 to 1888, Fulham Football Club used the pub as a changing room, as they played at the nearby Ranelagh House until that site was used for housing.In 1986, Kenneth Erskine, the Hammersmith-born serial killer known as the Stockwell Strangler, raped and strangled his final victim, Florence Tisdall, an 83-year-old widow around the corner in Ranelagh Gardens Mansions, but any cries for help would have been drowned out by a disco at the Eight Bells to celebrate the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Fulham House is a military installation at 87 Fulham High Street, Fulham, London. It is a Grade II listed building.

Putney Bridge is a London Underground station on the Wimbledon branch of the District line. It is between Parsons Green and East Putney stations and is in Zone 2. The station is located in the south of Fulham, adjacent to Fulham High Street and New Kings Road (A308) and is a short distance from the north end of Putney Bridge from which it takes its name.

Thornhill House is a Grade II listed house at 78 Deodar Road, Putney, London SW15, built in about 1890 by the Kensington builder Mr Wakefield, and incorporating parts of Wandsworth Manor, a late 17th-century house demolished in 1890.

The A219, is a road in West London, England, which connects the A404 Harrow Road in Harlesden to the A24 in South Wimbledon. Running from North to South, it starts near Willesden Junction station, crosses the Grand Union Canal and runs through Shepherd's Bush, Hammersmith and Fulham, crossing the River Thames at Putney Bridge. It continues through Putney and passes Wimbledon Common, and goes through Wimbledon to terminate just after South Wimbledon Underground station at the A24.

All Saints' Church is the ancient parish church of Fulham, in the County of Middlesex, pre-dating the Reformation. It is now an Anglican church in Fulham, London, sited close to the River Thames, beside the northern approach to Putney Bridge. The church tower and interior nave and chancel are Grade II* listed.

Fulham War Memorial is a Grade II listed monument at Vicarage Garden, Fulham High Street, Fulham, London.It was built in 1921 and designed by the sculptor Alfred Turner, and comprises a bronze figure of Peace on top of a high Portland stone pedestal with three steps. There is also a bronze kneeling figure of a cherub against a rough cross on base. The inscription is "To the Honour of Fulham's Gallant Dead" "They died for freedom" 1914–1918 and 1939–1945.

Putney Wharf Tower is a tall apartment building at Putney Wharf, Putney, London SW15 2JX, on the river Thames, close to Putney Bridge. It was originally a 1960s office block for International Computers Limited (ICL), until the fifteen stories was reclad in 2003 and redeveloped for residential use by Patel Taylor and St George. It was built with a restaurant/bar, The Rocket on the ground floor, which was later taken over by the Wetherspoons pub chain.A curved riverside extension, terracotta cladding and an extra four floors were added to the 1960s block to create a block of 67 two and three bed apartments.Either side of the tower on the riverside are two squares, Church square with St Mary's Church and Putney Wharf Piazza with The Boathouse pub, the tower lies within the Putney Embankment Conservation Area.

Putney Bridge is a Grade II listed bridge over the River Thames in west London, linking Putney on the south side with Fulham to the north. The bridge has medieval parish churches beside its abutments: St Mary's Church, Putney is built on the south and All Saints Church, Fulham on the north bank. This close proximity of two churches by a major river is rare, another example being at Goring-on-Thames and Streatley, villages hemmed in by the Chiltern Hills (the Goring Gap). Before the first bridge was built in 1729, a ferry had shuttled between the two banks. The current format is three lanes southbound (including one bus lane) and one lane (plus cycle lane/bus stop) northbound. Putney High Street, a main approach, is part of a London hub for retail, offices, food, drink and entertainment. Putney Embankment hosts Putney Pier for riverboat services immediately south-west of the bridge as well as the capital's largest set of facilities in rowing. The Pier in the sport marks one end of the Championship Course.

The Temperance Billiard Hall, now a pub called The Temperance, is a Grade II listed building at 90 Fulham High Street, Fulham, London.It was built in 1910, and the architect was Norman Evans.It was built for a company called Temperance Billiard Halls Ltd, who built a number of such halls in London and the north of England. The temperance movement urged the reduced or prohibited use of alcoholic beverages. It was previously part of the chain O'Neill's, and before that was part of the Firkin Brewery chain and known as the Pharaoh and Firkin.
