During 1892 to approximately 1906-1909, it was the location of Iddings and Company, the largest bookstore and stationer in the state in that period. The Telephone Co. Building in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States, was built in 1904. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It includes Early Commercial, "Vernacular-Classical Detail", and other architecture.When listed the property included just the one contributing building on an area of less than 1 acre (0.40 ha).The listing is described in its North Dakota Cultural Resources Survey document.Along with Wright Block, the Clifford Annex, the Dinnie Block, and Golden Square, the Telephone Co. Building was one of many "commercial vernacular brick buildings with classical revival details" that were built during a major building boom, with high quality brickwork. It was built in 1904 by the Northwestern Telephone Exchange Company, which later became Northwestern Bell. This replaced a previous exchange that was located on the fourth floor of an office building, which had some accessibility problems. A 1901 author pointed out that the cable ran into the office from a nearby pole and was unsightly, and that the wiring inside the building was not very orderly either. The building was rather crowded. The company was in the process of buying a lot for the new exchange building.: 37 

Downtown Grand Forks is the original commercial center of Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States. Located on the western bank of the Red River of the North, the downtown neighborhood is situated near the fork of the Red River and the Red Lake River. While downtown is no longer the dominant commercial area of the Greater Grand Forks community, it remains the historic center of Grand Forks. An 80.4-acre (32.5 ha) portion was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, as Downtown Grand Forks Historic District. Today, downtown Grand Forks is home to many offices, stores, restaurants, and bars.

The New Hampshire Apartments in Grand Forks, North Dakota were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. They were built in 1904 at a cost of $26,000 and were significant as a building designed by architect Joseph Bell DeRemer. The apartments were an example of commercial vernacular architecture, and the building was the first in Grand Forks to have a planned second-story-level walkway to another building (the Security Building). When listed on the National Register, the apartment complex was one of few remaining downtown structures designed by DeRemer with classical details. It was built by the Dinnie Brothers, a construction firm that was established in 1881 and was at one time responsible for the building of more than 60 percent of the commercial buildings in Grand Forks.A historical marker indicates that the building was destroyed in the 1997 Red River flood and fire. It was officially delisted from the National Register in 2018.

City Center Mall was a shopping mall located in downtown Grand Forks, North Dakota that was constructed by closing off a block of Third Street. Construction was done in 1978 by building a roof over the former street and walls, closing off the block. Fountains were built where the street was located.Despite the mall's attempt to attract shoppers to the downtown area, it did not improve business. This trend continued until the mall was destroyed in the flood of 1997. The mall was not rebuilt and Third Street was reopened to traffic.

The BPOE Lodge: Golden Block, also referred to as Golden Square, was a building in Grand Forks, North Dakota that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but was removed from the National Register in 2004.Also known as Golden Block, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks clubhouse was built c. 1910. It was designed by Joseph Bell DeRemer. It included Early Commercial, Vernacular, and other architecture.Along with Wright Block, the Telephone Co. The Ronald N. Davies Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse is a historic post office and federal office building located at Grand Forks in Grand Forks County, North Dakota, United States. It is a courthouse for the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. Also and historically known as U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under that name.
