Zayed University

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (abbreviated HBMSU; formerly Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University) is the first smart university in the United Arab Emirates, established in 2002. The President of the university is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Being the first e-learning institute in the UAE, its working model has paved the way for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), UAE to design standards for accreditation for an e-learning institution. Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) follows in its delivery of learning a blended learning. These methods may include a mixture of face-to-face classrooms, online classrooms, and self-paced learning. The student-centered environment at the university is reflected in the support offered to learners with automated pre-enrolment and admissions support, e-virtual communities and learners' clubs, and additional learning resources such as the Library, e-Career, and Placement Services, using the ICT technologies to communicate with learners across the globe. Its flagship virtual learning environment, Smart Campus [1] won the 2015 Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards.The university is based on the paradigm of Lifelong Learning model providing all of its professional programs through certification routes to progress through a career path in multiple sectors including quality and business management, banking, healthcare, environment, smart learning, and e-education.

The Emirates Soil Museum opened on 8 December 2016, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development in improving the technology and interior and exterior exhibits. Since its launch, the museum has had 3,000 visitors from various backgrounds. The museum attempts to engage its visitors through knowledge dissemination, workshops, and student field trips that involved them stepping out into nature and collecting data on soil, water and soil biodiversity as well as hands-on activities, science experiments, analysis and projects. The recommendation was made after the completion of the first phase of the UAE Soil Mapping Project which was a 10-year project that included extensive and intensive soil analysis completed in collaboration with EAD and the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (Ministry of Environment and Water at the time). This project produced the UAE Soil Maps, Abu Dhabi Soil Survey Books, Northern Emirates Soil Survey Books, United Arab Emirates Keys to Soil Taxonomy and the addition of a new soil sub group called Anhydrite, which was officially recognized in 2014 in the updated edition of the US Keys to Soil Taxonomy.

Lycée Français International Georges Pompidou (LFIGP; Arabic: الیسة اﻟﻔرﻧﺳﯾﺔ الدولیة جورج بومبیو) is a French international school with campuses in Dubai and Sharjah. It serves levels maternelle, through lycée (senior high school). As of the 2013–2014 school year the school had a total of 2,400 students.

Skycourts Towers is a project by National Bonds Corporation PJSC located within the Dubailand Residence Complex in Dubai. The AED 1.6 billion development offers 2,836 apartments across 6 towers. Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) introduced the route between Dubai Mall Metro Station and the nearby area.

Dubai Silicon Oasis known as DSO (Arabic: واحة دبي للسيليكون) is a free-trade zone established by the Dubai government in 2003, spanning an area of 7.2 square kilometers. It is located in the community of Nadd Hessa.

Al Ghurair University (AGU) was a private university founded in 1999 by the Al Ghurair Group and located in Dubai International Academic City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It opened in 1999 as one of the UAE's first private universities. The university was accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education. The university permanently closed its doors on 31 August 2022.

Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), informally known as Academic City, is a university town in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates along the Dubai-Al Ain Road in Al Rowaiyah. The project was launched in May 2006 in liaison with Dubai Knowledge Park. The regulatory authority in the DIAC is the Dubai Development Authority.As a university town, DIAC is a foundation for schools, colleges and universities. Consisting of 27 colleges and universities, 3 innovation centers, the DIAC enrolls about 27,500 students. It offers more than 500 academic programs in different fields.

UPS Airlines Flight 6 was a cargo flight operated by UPS Airlines. On September 3, 2010, the Boeing 747-400F flying the route between Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Cologne, Germany, developed an in-flight fire, which caused the aircraft to crash, killing both crew members, the only people on board. It was the first fatal air crash for UPS Airlines. The crash prompted a re-evaluation of safety procedures protecting airliners from cockpit smoke.

Emirates Aviation University (EAU), also known as Emirates Aviation College, is a university located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the educational arm of The Emirates Group. The EAU offers education in aeronautical engineering, aviation management, business management, aviation safety and security studies.

The University of Dubai (UD) (Arabic: جامعة دبي) is an private university in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Established in 1997, it is licensed nationally by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It became the first private University in Dubai to hold the AACSB international accreditation in 2009, maintaining for further 5 years till 2019, as well as the first private university in the UAE to hold the ABET-CAC accreditation for its Computing and Information Systems (BS) program in 2006. The curriculum is aligned with international professional certification bodies such as Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM)-UK, which awards BBA HRM and MBA Leadership and HRM graduates with level 5 and 7 certifications. Similarly, the curriculum is aligned with Islamic Economy, Smart City, Innovation and Entrepreneurship initiatives of the government with IBM partnership.

Rochester Institute of Technology of Dubai (RIT Dubai) is a satellite campus of Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, USA, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The college is located in the Dubai Silicon Oasis and started offering part-time graduate courses in Fall 2008. In 2009, the university began its full-time graduate program. RIT Dubai's first graduating class was in 2010, with the graduation ceremony taking place in Rochester, NY. In 2010, a full-time undergraduate program was started as part of the university's planned expansion. In the fall of 2011, RIT Dubai moved its campus to a new premises to accommodate the growing student body. By 2019, RIT plans to expand the campus to 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) to provide facilities for 4,000 students.The RIT Dubai campus is the Rochester Institute of Technology's third international campus. The university's other satellite campuses are RIT Croatia and RIT Kosovo.

Dubai Outlet Mall (DOM) is a shopping mall in Umm Nahad First, Dubailand, Dubai, the UAE.Opened in 2007 and is located on the Dubai-Al Ain Road (Route 66) near the Dubai Bypass Road interchange. The shopping mall has a total size of 102,193 m2 (1,100,000 sq ft) and a total gross leasable area of 69,977 m2 (753,230 sq ft) and it currently features 240 retail outlets with over 1,200 brands.
