Rivelin Valley Park is a public recreation area in the Rivelin Valley area of Sheffield, England. The facilities consist of a playground and a small water park as well as a café. The park is situated on the Rivelin Valley Nature Trail, which is maintained by volunteers from the Rivelin Valley Conservation Group.

Walkley is an electoral ward in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Walkley ward—which includes the districts of Netherthorpe, Upperthorpe, Walkley and parts of Neepsend—is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the northwestern part of the city and covers an area of 3.8 km2. The population of this ward in 2011 was 21,793 people in 9,654 households. The ward is in Sheffield Central Parliamentary Constituency.

Myers Grove School was a secondary school (11–16) in the north-west of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The school was bidding to become a businesses and enterprise college. It has now merged with Wisewood School & Community Sports College to become Forge Valley Community School, opened in September 2011. Myers Grove opened in about 1960 as the first purpose-built comprehensive school in Sheffield. It originally had a 6th form, lost in a reorganisation in 1988, when the Lower School buildings became the Wood Lane buildings of Loxley College, part of Sheffield College.

Forge Valley School is a secondary school and sixth form located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire England. It replaced Myers Grove School and Wisewood School & Community Sports College. The Headteacher is Dale Barrowclough. The school has its own sports centre which is used by the school and community. The school converted to Academy status in September 2014, sponsored by the Tapton School Academy Trust.

Bolehill Recreation Ground, known locally as The Bole Hills is a public open space in the suburb of Crookes within the City of Sheffield, England. The grounds are administered by Sheffield City Council's Parks and Countryside Service and are classed as a district park, one of 20 throughout the city. They are spread over an area of approximately 12 hectares (29.5 acres), consisting of a mixture of heathland, scrub and woodland and have been designated as a Local Wildlife Site. There are also several public amenities such as a children's playground, tennis courts, bowling greens and hut and a BMX track. The grounds stand at height of around 200 metres (656 feet) and offer good views to the north and west over the Loxley and Rivelin valleys.

Crookes Cemetery is a cemetery between Crosspool and Crookes in the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Its main entrance is on Headland Road with additional access from Mulehouse Road. It was opened in 1906, and covers 29 acres (120,000 m2). By 2009, over 29,000 burials had taken place since its opening.A central alley runs through the cemetery and separates the consecrated grounds to the north and the unconsecrated grounds to the south.

Malin Bridge is a suburb of the city of Sheffield, England. It is located at grid reference SK325893 and stands 2½ miles north-west of the city centre where the rivers Loxley and Rivelin meet. Malin Bridge is only a small district centred on the road bridge over the River Loxley which carries the B6076 road to Stannington (in whose ward the suburb lies); it is surrounded by the suburbs of Hillsborough, Wisewood, Walkley and Stannington.

Crookes is a suburb of the City of Sheffield, England, about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of the city centre. It borders Broomhill to the south, Walkley and Crookesmoor to the east and open countryside around the River Rivelin to the north. The population of the ward of the same name was 17,700 at the 2011 Census.

Crookes & Crosspool ward—which includes the districts of Crookes, Steelbank, Crosspool, and Sandygate —is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the western part of the city and covers an area of 3.9 km2. The population of this ward in 2011 was 17,700 people in 7,266 households.The current councillors for Crookes and Crosspool Ward are Minesh Parekh (Labour and Co-operative), Ruth Milsom (Labour), and Tim Huggan (Liberal Democrats). In the 2004 local elections Sylvia Anginotti, John Hesketh, and Brian Holmes, all Liberal Democrats, were returned as councillors for the newly drawn ward. John Hesketh was defeated by Labour's Geoff Smith in 2011. In the 2016 local elections that took place under redrawn boundaries, Labour's Anne Murphy and Craig Gamble-Pugh were returned along with the Liberal Democrats’ Adam Hanrahan. In 2018 Mohammed Mahroof defeated Labour's Craig Gamble-Pugh, leaving Anne Murphy as the only Labour Councillor within the Sheffield Hallam Constituency. In 2019 Liberal Democrat, Tim Huggan successfully defended the seat vacated by Adam Hanrahan. In 2021 Labour's Ruth Milsom successfully defended the seat vacated by Anne Murphy. In 2022, Liberal Democrat incumbent, Mohammed Mahroof, lost his seat to the Labour and Co-operative candidate, Minesh Parekh.Crookes and Crosspool ward is mostly located within Sheffield Hallam Parliamentary constituency. The local MP is Labour's Olivia Blake, who won the seat in December 2019. Parts of the ward also cross into the Sheffield Central constituency, represented by Labour's Paul Blomfield

The Tapton Hill transmitting station (grid reference SK324870), more generally known as the Sheffield (Crosspool) transmitting station, is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility which serves Sheffield in South Yorkshire and is located on a hill in the suburb of Crosspool to the west of the city. It transmits digital television (with vertical polarisation), analogue radio (FM) and DAB digital radio. It was a relay of Emley Moor for analogue television until the signals were turned off permanently following the Digital Switchover in August 2011. The site is owned by Arqiva and its aerials are at a height of 295 metres (968 ft) above mean sea level. It also feeds the Chesterfield Transmitter with its digital television signal by means of an underground fibre optic cable. The transmitter was originally an A group for television broadcasts, but to accommodate analogue Channel 5, as well as digital television, it became a wideband until its switchover in 2011. At that point, technically, it became a K group although wideband aerials would still work. The 3 main PSB MUXES are all receivable on an A group aerial (see graph). Sheffield transmitter's 700MHz clearance is due in Feb 2020 when none of the main 6 MUXEs are due to change frequency, though MUXES 7 and 8 are due to be switched off.

St Thomas Church, Crookes — now known as ‘STC Sheffield’ — is an ecumenical church with united Anglican and Baptist traditions, in Crookes, Sheffield, England. The building still retains most of its original architecture, although a substantial expansion was made in the 1980s.

Walkley Library is a public lending library in Walkley, a suburb of the City of Sheffield in England. It stands at the junction of Walkley Road and South Road in one of the busiest parts of the area. It is one of 27 suburban branch libraries within the city. The building is a Carnegie library, the only library in Sheffield to receive Carnegie funding, it is also a Grade II listed building as are the boundary walls and commemorative plaque in front of the library.
