Morgan County is a county located in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 17,063. Its county seat is Berkeley Springs. The county was formed in 1820 from parts of Hampshire and Berkeley Counties and named in honor of General Daniel Morgan, prominent soldier of the American Revolutionary War. The county and town of Bath are considered an excellent jumping off point for exploring the Potomac and Cacapon Rivers valleys just to the north and west. Along with also being a tourist destination hosting numerous local artists, mineral water spas, and a large amount of outdoor recreation that includes fishing, boating, wildlife, hunting, and mountain scenery. The region is known for the famed Apple Butter Festival held annually in October. Morgan County is also the home of an important silica mine, part of U.S. Silica.

Opened in 1933, the 6,115-acre (2,475 ha) Cacapon Resort State Park is located on the eastern slopes of Cacapon Mountain in Morgan County, West Virginia, USA. Panorama Overlook, at the southern end of the park and 2,320 feet (710 m) above sea level, is the highest point in the park and in Morgan County.

Ambrose Chapel is a historic Methodist chapel located at Stotlers Crossroads, Morgan County, West Virginia. The land was deeded for a free meeting house for anyone who preached the gospel of Jesus Christ, in 1797 by (William) Henry Ambrose. The original building was a log structure and was later replaced. The current Chapel was built in 1851 and is a 1+1⁄2-story rectangular building with hewn log framing, stone foundation, clapboard siding, and metal roof. Also on the property is a cemetery with over 300 burials dating from the early 19th century to about 1945. During the American Civil War it was used as a Confederate field hospital in January, 1862 during Stonewall Jackson's Bath Romney Campaign.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Coolfont Resort is a resort hotel in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, operating from 1965 to 2006 and from 2020 to present.

John Herbert Quick House — also known as "Coolfont Manner House" — is a historic home located near Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia, US. It was built in 1913, and is a large 2+1⁄2-story mansion in the Colonial Revival style. The front facade is two stories and features a pediment, with a one-story rounded portico topped by a balustrade. It was built by author John Herbert Quick (1861-1925).In 1961 the house and about 1200 surrounding acres were acquired by businessman Sam Ashelman, who went on to establish a hotel called the Coolfont Resort in 1965. The property, including the house, was sold to a real estate developer in 2005. In 2017 the house sold to an unnamed bidder for $225,000 as part of an auction of the entire former resort property.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It was called Coolfont Manner House after the springs of the same name.

Stotlers Crossroads is a small unincorporated community hamlet in southeastern Morgan County, West Virginia. It is situated along Winchester Grade Road (CR 13) between the South and Middle Forks of Sleepy Creek on the eastern flanks of Highland Ridge (942 feet). The community was named after W. R. Stotler, a merchant at the namesake crossroads. Stotlers Crossroads is the location of several historic buildings, including the Mount Olivet United Methodist Church (1888) and Ambrose Chapel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Stotlers Crossroads is a junction of Winchester Grade Road (CR 13) with the Virginia Line and Highland Ridge Roads (CR 8).

Oakland is an unincorporated community in Morgan County, West Virginia. It is located along Virginia Line Road (County Route 8) north of Unger and south of Stotlers Crossroads. Oakland is connected to Valley Road (U.S. Highway 522) by County Route 28 (Oakland and Morton Grove Roads).

Smith Crossroads is an unincorporated community in Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. The hamlet lies at the crossroads of the Winchester Grade Road (County Route 13) with County Routes 26 and 13/1. According to the Geographic Names Information System, Smith Crossroads has also been referred to as Smiths Corners, Smiths Cross Roads, and Smiths Forks.

Ridge is an unincorporated community hamlet in Morgan County, West Virginia. It is located along Valley Road (U.S. Highway 522) at its intersection with Fish Hatchery Road (CR 38/10) near the Frederick County, Virginia line. Sleepy Creek and Timber Ridge lie to its east with Warm Springs Ridge lying to its west.

Johnsons Mill is an unincorporated community in eastern Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia on Johnson's Mill Road (West Virginia Secondary Route 26). It is centrally located between three other small rural hamlets along Sleepy Creek and is named for the "Johnson's Mill" that once operated here. Smith Crossroads on Winchester Grade Road (West Virginia Secondary Route 13) is to its west by way of Autumn Acres Road (West Virginia Secondary Route 26), New Hope is to its north by way of Spohr's Road (West Virginia Secondary Route 8), and Duckwall is located to its east on Johnson's Mill Road along the western flanks of Sleepy Creek Mountain.

Berryville is a former independent community in Morgan County in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Located south of downtown Berkeley Springs, Berryville sprouted up along U.S. Route 522 at the beginning of the 20th century; first as a farming community and then as a residential extension of a growing Berkeley Springs. It remains outside the Bath town limits. Berryville includes Berkeley Springs High School, Widmyer Elementary School, and Greenway Cemetery.

Berkeley Springs High School is an American public, co-educational high school located in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. It teaches 9th through 12th grade and currently has about 747 students in attendance.
