Duddingston House

The Braid Burn is a burn or stream 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) in length that flows through south and east Edinburgh.

Holy Rood High School is a Roman Catholic secondary school situated on the edge of Holyrood Park, near Arthur's Seat beside Duddingston Village, in Edinburgh.

Duddingston & Craigmillar Railway Station was a railway station in Scotland on the Edinburgh Suburban and Southside Junction Railway. It served the Duddingston and Craigmillar areas of Edinburgh's south side. It was opened on 1 December 1884. Duddingston & Craigmillar station closed in 1962, when passenger rail services were withdrawn from the Edinburgh Suburban line although the line itself was retained for rail freight use. The route continues to be used for freight services to this day, so freight trains avoid Edinburgh's main stations of Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket, and occasionally diverted passenger trains also pass along this line.

The White House (sometimes written The Whitehouse) is a former roadhouse on Niddrie Mains Road (at its junction with Craigmillar Castle Loan) in Niddrie, Edinburgh, Scotland, now used as a community café and volunteering centre.

Edinburgh East is a burgh constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. In present form, the constituency was first used at the 2005 general election, but there was also an Edinburgh East constituency in existence from 1885 to 1997.

Craigmillar (Scottish Gaelic: Creag a' Mhuilleir, IPA:[ˈkʰʲɾʲekˈaˈvɯʎɪɾʲ]), from the Gaelic Creag Maol Ard, meaning 'High Bare Rock', is an area of Edinburgh, Scotland, about 3 miles (4.8 km) south east of the city centre, with Duddingston to the north and Newcraighall to the east.

The Robin Chapel is an ecumenical Christian place of worship in the Craigmillar area of Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built in memory of Lieutenant Robin Tudsbery, who was killed in the closing days of World War II. The chapel sits within the grounds of the Thistle Foundation, a housing complex originally built for disabled armed forces personnel.

Duddingston (Scots: Duddiston) is a historic village in the east of Edinburgh, Scotland, next to Holyrood Park.

Northfield is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It lies east of the city centre and west of Portobello. The area was laid out at low densities as local authority housing but the city employed private architects for its design - Reginald Fairlie and Reid and Forbes. It was laid out from 1921 and took around three years to complete.Due to the high quality of the buildings it was a very popular area for tenants to purchase under the "Right to Buy" scheme and the area is now largely in private ownership. The quality is also reflected in that several of the groups are now listed buildings.

The Sheep Heid Inn is a public house in Duddingston, Edinburgh, Scotland. There has reputedly been an inn on this site since 1360, although the core of the current building appears to date from the 18th century with later additions and alterations. If the 1360 foundation date was proved correct it would make The Sheep Heid Inn perhaps the oldest surviving licensed premises in Edinburgh, if not Scotland.

Duddingston Kirk is a Parish Church in the Church of Scotland, located adjacent to Holyrood Park in Duddingston Village, on the east side of the City of Edinburgh. Regular services are held at the kirk, conducted by the minister, Rev Dr James A. P. Jack (from 2001).
