Hoërskool Durbanville is a public Afrikaans medium co-educational high school situated in the town of Durbanville in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is a public school. It is the oldest High School in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, and the only other school older in the Greater Cape Town metropolis is Simons Town School in the southern suburbs.

The Dutch Reformed Church in Durbanville is a church building of the Dutch Reformed Church in Durbanville, South Africa, built in 1825 in the Cape Dutch style. The village was then still called Pompoenkraal. A separate bell tower has been built near the church with a bell visible from the outside. The church was enlarged in 1891. The building was restored and rededicated in 1957. The community of Durbanville has grown rapidly, especially in the 20th century.

Durbanville Nature Reserve is a 6-hectare (15-acre) piece of protected land, located next to the Durbanville Racecourse in the Western Cape, South Africa.This small triangular nature reserve is located on the border between two critically endangered vegetation types: Swartland Shale Renosterveld and Cape Flats Sand Fynbos. It was proclaimed in 1966 after Aristea lugens, a rare species of plant, was discovered here. The invasive alien vegetation was then cleared and the indigenous landscape was restored. The park is now home to around 130 species of plant - three of which exist only in Cape Town and ten of which are threatened with extinction. It is also a natural habitat for wild animals such as the angulate tortoise, the small grey mongoose and the endangered Cape rain frog.

Fairmont High School is a public English medium co-educational high school situated in the town of Durbanville in the Western Cape province of South Africa.

Stellenberg High School is a public dual-medium (Afrikaans and English), co-educational high school located in Stellenberg, Bellville in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is one of the top and prestigious schools in the Western Cape. The high school was established in 1986.

In 1930 the owners of the land (the company “Brick and Clay") started mining activities on a 260 hectare piece of land situated in Bellville, Western Cape , South Africa. In 1936 a Jail was built next to the Quarry. Today very little of the Quarry and Jail is left and it was replaced with modern city infrastructure.

The Techtonic Velodrome is a 250-meter, multi-purpose indoor velodrome located in Bellville, South Africa. The venue has served as Greater Cape Town's main concert venue and has now been replaced by the Cape Town Stadium. Its maximum capacity for cycling competition would range from 5 to 8,000.

Kraaifontein is a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Organisationally and administratively it is included in the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality as a Northern Suburb. The name originated from large number of crows (Kraai in Afrikaans) that nest in the region.

In Brackenfell a variety of property situated on the slopes of the Bottelary Hills can be found.The Bracken Nature Reserve, situated in the Ruwari suburban area, was once a quarry site and was later declared a nature reserve after some negotiations between the Cape Town City Council and the Stellenbosch Divisional Council. Brackenfell offers schools, shopping malls and medical services, and many different sporting facilities.

Tygerberg is a district in the northern suburbs of Cape Town in South Africa. It is also the name of the range of hills in the area. The main Tygerberg farms were Pampoenkraal (became Durbanville), Stellenburgh (became part of Bellville), Evertsdal (today Bellville), De Grendel (today Parow), Lebenstijn (part of Bellville), Blommensteijn (incorporated into Bellville), Door de Kraal (incorporated into Bellville), Vissershok (which has no more farming as it became a quarry with mining activities) and Clara Anna Fontein. It also contains the Tygerberg Nature Reserve.Tygerberg is host to the Tygerberg Hospital. The hospital is the centre for the Medicine and Health Sciences faculty of Stellenbosch University.
