Loyalsock Township High School (Grades 9-12) is a medium sized, suburban high school located in Loyalsock Township, Pennsylvania (near the city of Williamsport). As of the 2016–2017 school year, the school reported an enrollment of 597 pupils in grades 9th through 12th.The mascot for the school is the Lancer, and the school's colors are Maroon, White and Carolina blue.

The stadium currently is home to the Loyalsock Lancers football boys' and girls' soccer teams. It is owned and operated by the Loyalsock Township School District.

Kenmar is a census-designated place (CDP) in Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 4,124. Kenmar is not a separately incorporated community, but is a part of Loyalsock Township (which is a municipality under Pennsylvania law). Kenmar is bordered by Four Mile Drive to the north, Miller Run and the CDP of Faxon to the west, Interstate 180 to the south, and Loyalsock Creek and the borough of Montoursville to the east.Kenmar is east of Faxon; there was a previous CDP named "East Faxon" in Lycoming County, but it lost its status as a CDP in the 1990 Census.

The Williamsport Armory is an historic National Guard armory complex that is located at 1300 Penn Street in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Loyalsock Township is a township in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 11,561 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Williamsport Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the second largest municipality in Lycoming County, in terms of population, behind the county seat, Williamsport. The township was settled in 1768 and incorporated in 1786. It is located on the north bank of the West Branch Susquehanna River. Native American artifacts can be commonly found in parks near the West Branch. Archaeologists have found over 1,500 pieces of Native American pottery, weaponry and other artifacts, some being displayed in collections in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and New York City. Most can be found at local museums in nearby Williamsport.

Little League Volunteer Stadium is a baseball stadium in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Along with Howard J. Lamade Stadium, it annually hosts the Little League World Series, one of the few sports events where children 12 years old and younger take the center stage. Volunteer Stadium was built starting in 2000 to accommodate the growth of the Little League World Series, and was completed in 2001. Its seating capacity is 3,000. The stadium is comparable in seating capacity to Lamade Stadium but with far less standing room; the berms surrounding the stadium are much smaller, limiting potential attendance to 5,000 spectators, as opposed to the over 40,000 that can be accommodated at Lamade Stadium. Volunteer Stadium is used for double-elimination pool play only. All elimination games and consolation games are played at Lamade Stadium. In 2006, the home run distance was increased by 20 ft (6.1 m), from 205 ft (62 m) to 225 ft (69 m), to all fields; the outfield wall forms one-fourth of a true circle.

The 2016 Little League World Series was held from August 18 to August 28 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Eight teams from the United States and eight from throughout the world competed in the 70th edition of the tournament. Maine-Endwell Little League of Maine-Endwell, New York, defeated East Seoul Little League of Seoul, South Korea, in the championship game by a 2–1 score. It was the first Little League World Series title for a team from the United States since 2011, and for the state of New York since 1964, and the third overall.

Howard J. Lamade Stadium (pronounced "LAM-a-dee") is a baseball stadium in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Each year, along with Little League Volunteer Stadium, it hosts the Little League World Series. The playing field is two-thirds the size of a professional baseball field, with 60-foot (18.3 m) basepaths, a 46-foot (14 m) mound, and after modification in 2006, outfield fences at 225 ft (68.6 m), forming one-fourth of a true circle. Much of the capacity of the stadium is bench seating, while large berms surrounding the stadium provide additional seating allowing over 40,000 spectators.

The Little League World Series is an annual baseball tournament for children aged 10 to 12 years old, held in the Eastern United States. Originally called the National Little League Tournament, it was later renamed for the World Series in Major League Baseball. The Series was first held in 1947 and is held every August in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania; while the postal address of the organization is in Williamsport, the Series itself is played at Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium at the Little League headquarters complex in South Williamsport. Initially, only teams from the United States competed in the Series, but it has since become a worldwide tournament. The tournament has gained popular renown, especially in the United States, where games from the Series and even from regional tournaments are broadcast on ESPN. Teams from the United States have won a plurality of the series, although from 1969 to 1991 teams from Taiwan dominated the series, winning in 15 out of those 23 years. Taiwan's dominance during those years has been attributed to a national effort to combat its perceived diplomatic isolation around the world. From 2010 through 2017, teams from Japan similarly dominated the series, winning five of those matchups. While the Little League Baseball World Series is frequently referred to as just the Little League World Series, it is actually one of seven World Series tournaments sponsored by Little League International, in different locations. Each of them brings community teams from different Little League International regions around the world together in baseball (four age divisions) and girls' softball (three age divisions). The tournament structure described here is that used for the Little League Baseball World Series. The structure used for the other World Series is similar, but with different regions.

Lycoming College is a private liberal arts college in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1812, Lycoming College is affiliated with the United Methodist Church but operates as an independent institution. Through its history, it has been an academy, seminary, junior college, and four-year college.
