Saxilby

St Botolph's Church is the parish church of the village of Saxilby in Lincolnshire, England. It is an active parish church in the Church of England and is located off Church Lane to the north of the village centre. It is a Grade I listed building.

Ingleby comprised three areas, North Ingleby, South Ingleby and Low Ingleby.Ingleby is recorded three times as "Englebi" in the Domesday Book; in 1086 it comprised 38 households, which for the time was considered very large.In North Ingleby there are earthworks of a scheduled manor complex centred on a moated enclosure now occupied by Ingleby Hall Farm. Documents in 1569–70 record a Deer Park in the area. It is also believed there was a church or chapel here – Saxilby church has a list of incumbents for Ingleby church – dating from 1086 to 1416.At South Ingleby there are earthworks for another manor, an island refuge contained within a moat, on the site of Ingleby Grange.

Broadholme is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 5 miles (8 km) west from the city and county town of Lincoln, and less than 1 mile (1.6 km) south from the A57 road and the village of Saxilby. According to the 2001 Census it had a population of 88. At the 2011 census, the population remained less than 100 and is now included in the civil parish of Scampton. Historically, Broadholme was part of Nottinghamshire, formally transferring to Lincolnshire in 1989.

Broadholme Priory was a convent of canonesses of the Premonstratensian Order located near to the village of Broadholme. Historically in Nottinghamshire, since boundary changes in 1989, the priory and village has been in Lincolnshire.

Bransby is a hamlet in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 7 miles (11 km) north-west from the city and county town of Lincoln, 9 miles (14 km) south-east from Gainsborough, and 0.5 miles (0.8 km) from both the A1500 Roman road to the north, and the B1241 to the west. The River Till flows past the village 400 yards (366 m) to the east.

At the 2011 census the population remained less than 100 and was included in the civil parish of South Carlton. Broxholme Grade II listed Anglican parish church is dedicated to All Saints. It was rebuilt in 1857.

Drinsey Nook is a small village in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3 km) south-west from Saxilby, close to the county border with Nottinghamshire. The village sits on the bank of the east of Lincoln section of the Foss Dyke, a canal which runs from the River Trent to the River Witham. The population of the village is included in the civil parish of Kettlethorpe. The main building is the former Drinsey Nook Inn which is actually situated in Nottinghamshire; this was previously known as the 'Buffalo Inn' on old Ordnance Survey maps. Drinsey Nook is notable for Tom Otter, a man who murdered his new wife in 1805. Otter, reputedly from Treswell, was already a married when he married his wife, Mary, whom he murdered the same day near the bridge that now bears his name. He was hanged in 1806, and was held in a Gibbet post adjacent to Gibbet Wood. Tom Otter lane is the B1190 running south from the village, and Tom Otters Bridge is named after the site of the murder.

St Hugh's Church is a redundant parish church in the village of Sturton by Stow in Lincolnshire, England. It was built originally for the residents of the village and was under the demotion of Stow Minster in Stow. It was built originally in 1879 as a mission church and this remained the status of the church until its closure in 2022. The church has since been sold and is in private ownership. The nearest church is now Stow Minster.

Sturton by Stow is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish was 1,369 at the 2011 census.The village is situated on the north-south B1241 and east–west A1500 Tillbridge Road (a Roman road). Nearby to the north is Stow. Sturton falls within the ecclesiastical parish of Stow, consequently the parish church of Sturton is Stow Minster. The Church of England maintained a mission church in Sturton, a brick building dedicated to St Hugh and designed by John Loughborough Pearson. The building was sold in January 2022 and is now in private ownership. The nearest churches are now Stow Minster, St. Botolph's Church in Saxilby and St. Margaret of Antioch Church in Marton. The Sturton by Stow Secondary Modern School closed in the 1980s. There is a primary school on School Lane. The village public house is the Plough Inn on Tillbridge Road. The River Till is 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east.
