Pontiac Airpark

Pontiac Airpark Water Aerodrome, formerly TC LID: CPC7, was located 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) east of Pontiac, Quebec, Canada on the Ottawa River.

MacLarens Landing is a community in West Carleton-March Ward in Ottawa, Ontario. The area's name is derived from James Maclaren, who opened a mill in nearby Buckingham, Quebec. Ontario MPP Jack MacLaren is a descendant and resides in the area.

The Ottawa Valley is the valley of the Ottawa River, along the boundary between Eastern Ontario and the Outaouais, Quebec, Canada. The valley is the transition between the Saint Lawrence Lowlands and the Canadian Shield. Because of the surrounding shield, the valley is narrow at its western end and then becomes increasingly wide (mainly on the Ontario side of the river) as it progresses eastward. The underlying geophysical structure is the Ottawa-Bonnechere Graben. Approximately 1.3 million people reside in the valley (and along its tributaries), around 80% of whom reside in Ottawa. The total area of the Ottawa Valley is 2.4 million ha (6 million ac). The National Capital Region area has just over 1.4 million inhabitants in both provinces. Near the City of Ottawa, the Ottawa Valley merges with the St. Lawrence Valley to the south to create a delta of flat farmland stretching unbroken from the Ottawa River to the Saint Lawrence River as far east as the island of Montreal, where the two rivers meet. The area is sometimes referred to as the "Lower Ottawa Valley," in contrast with the "Upper Ottawa Valley" west of Ottawa, but the name is not common, and most people think of the Ottawa Valley as only the upper portion. From west to east, communities in the Ottawa Valley include Mattawa, Deep River (with nearby Chalk River, the site of Canada's nuclear reactor program), Petawawa (a major Canadian military base), Pembroke (where Samuel de Champlain landed briefly), Fort Coulonge, Shawville, Renfrew, Quyon, Arnprior, Ottawa (the nation's capital), Rockland, L'Orignal, Hawkesbury, and Rigaud and Almonte, Round Lake Centre, Dacre, Douglas, Hyndford, Scotch Bush, Osceola and Barr Line.

Fitzroy Provincial Park is a provincial park on the Ottawa River in Ontario, Canada, designated as recreational-class by Ontario Parks. White pine covers much of the park. The park has century-old trees and a stand of 300-year-old bur oaks by the Carp River. There are two campgrounds within the park, both with comfort stations, a boat launch and park store. The main campgrounds have 235 campsites, 107 with electrical service, 205 with room for trailers, and a separate area with facilities for group camping and picnicking. Cross-country skiing is available in the winter on trails maintained by the West Carleton Nordic Ski Club.

Constance Bay is a population centre in West Carleton-March Ward in the rural northwest of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Prior to amalgamation in 2001, the community was part of West Carleton Township. It is situated 25 km northwest of the suburb of Kanata. The community surrounds the Torbolton Forest (a protected and managed green-space) and is located on a peninsula between Constance and Buckham's Bay on the Ottawa River. According to the Canada 2016 Census, the population of the community was 2,314. 86% of dwellings are occupied by usual residents. The community has services of a (licensed) general store, 2 restaurants, a bar/lounge, and a chapel. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 616 is also located in the village. During the summer months the community offers 2 beaches, recreational boating, water skiing, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, and cycling. During the winter months there is ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice skating and horseback riding. A Community Centre is located in the centre of the community, the centre's operation is overseen by the Constance & Buckham's Bay Community Association. The Community Centre includes a free skateboard park along with 2 baseball diamonds (both fully illuminated for night play), soccer fields (full and mini), play-structure, outdoor ice rink, and a concession stand operated by community volunteers.

Torbolton is a geographic township and former municipality that was originally part of Carleton County in eastern Ontario, Canada. Torbolton is located in the north-western part of the county, bordered to the southwest by Fitzroy Township, to the southeast by March Township and to the north by the Ottawa River. It includes the communities of Baskin's Beach, Buckham's Bay, Constance Bay, Dirleton, Kilmaurs, MacLarens, and Woodlawn. The township was established in 1821. Although white pine was harvested from the forests of this area from the beginning of the 19th century, the first permanent settler is believed to have been David MacLaren in the 1820s. In 1974, the township was amalgamated with Huntley and Fitzroy to form West Carleton. In 2001, West Carleton became part of the new city of Ottawa. Torbolton took its name from the village of Tarbolton in Ayrshire, Scotland. Lord Torbolton was one of the titles of Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond, who was Governor General of British North America from 1818 to 1819. According to the Canada 2016 Census, the Township had a population of 6,974. As of the Canada 2021 Census, this had increased to 7,000.

The Morris Island Conservation Area is operated by the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority.Located on the Ottawa River near Fitzroy Harbour, the Morris Island Conservation Area consists of 47 hectares of forested woodlands and wetlands. It allows for hiking, picnicking, canoeing (within the bay areas of the island), and fishing (including accessible fishing platforms).

Galetta is a dispersed rural community in West Carleton-March Ward in rural western Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the Mississippi River near its mouth in the Ottawa River. Once part of Fitzroy Township and later West Carleton, it is now part of the city of Ottawa. According to the Canada 2011 Census, the population of Galetta's Dissemination Area was 545, which also includes nearby communities Vydon Acres, Marshall Bay and part of Mohr Corners.

Taylor Lake is a small lake in Gatineau Park area of Quebec, Canada. It is one of the park's smaller lakes. It is located mostly in the municipality of La Pêche and partly in Pontiac, both in Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais Regional County Municipality, Quebec.

Dunrobin/Parti Field Aerodrome (TC LID: CPF3) is located 2.1 nautical miles (3.9 km; 2.4 mi) west northwest of Dunrobin, Ontario, Canada.

The Mississippi River is a tributary of the Ottawa River in Eastern Ontario, Canada which has no relation with the Mississippi River in the United States. It is 200 kilometres (120 mi) in length from its source at Mackavoy Lake, has a drainage area of 4,450 square kilometres (1,720 sq mi), and has a mean discharge of 40 cubic metres per second (1,400 cu ft/s). There are more than 250 lakes in the watershed. Communities along the river include the village of Lanark, the towns of Carleton Place, Mississippi Mills (including towns of Almonte and Pakenham), and Galetta. Here it enters the Ottawa River.

The Dunrobin Detachment was a military-operated radio communications receiver station linked by land line to CFS Carp located on the corner of Dunrobin Road and Vance's Side Road NW of Dunrobin, Ontario. A second antenna receiver site was located further West near Almonte, Ontario; the Almonte Detachment. The detachment was unmanned and the location primarily used as a remote antenna farm. After the end of the Cold War, CFS Carp was decommissioned and the antenna site was no longer needed.
