The William C. Whitney House was a mansion located on 871 Fifth Avenue and 68th Street in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. It was originally constructed for Robert L. Stuart who died before it was completed. It was next sold to Amzi L. Barber before it came into the ownership of William C. Whitney in about 1897.

880 Fifth Avenue is a luxury apartment building on Fifth Avenue at the northeast corner of 69th Street in New York City. The Art-Deco-styled building has 21 floors and features 162 residential units. 880 Fifth Avenue is also one of the few Fifth Avenue buildings to have a garage.

The C. Ledyard Blair House was a mansion on 2 East 70th Street, at the corner with Fifth Avenue, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. It was constructed for banker C. Ledyard Blair and designed by Carrère & Hastings. The house was constructed from 1914 to 1917 and occupied almost 7,300 square feet (680 m2). It was sold and demolished in 1927 to make way for an apartment house.

The Frick Art Reference Library Photoarchive is a study collection of more than one million photographic reproductions of works of art from the fourth to the mid-twentieth century by over 40,000 artists trained in the Western tradition located in the Frick Art Reference Library on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was founded in 1920 by Helen Clay Frick, the daughter of industrialist Henry Clay Frick, to facilitate object-oriented research. The documentation it offers records the essential elements of the biography of the work of art: the artist, title, present owner, as well as historical information such as changes of attribution, ownership and condition, all of which are essential for the study of the history of art.

The Frick Art Reference Library is the research arm of The Frick Collection. Its reference services have temporarily relocated to the Breuer building at 945 Madison Avenue, called Frick Madison, during the renovation of the Frick's historic buildings at 10 East 71st Street (between Madison and Fifth Avenue) in New York City. The library was founded in 1920 and it offers public access to materials on the study of art and art history in the Western tradition from the fourth to the mid-twentieth century. It is open to visitors 16 years of age or older and serves the greater art and art history research community through its membership in the New York Art Resources Consortium (which also includes the libraries of the Brooklyn Museum and The Museum of Modern Art). Within the library is the Center for the History of Collecting—a research organization that supports the study of the formation of collections of fine and decorative arts, both public and private, from Colonial times to the present through its fellowships, symposia, and publications.

The Frick Collection is an art museum in New York City. Its permanent collection (normally at the Henry Clay Frick House, currently at the Frick Madison) features Old Master paintings and European fine and decorative arts, including works by Bellini, Fragonard, Goya, Holbein, Rembrandt, Titian, Turner, Velázquez, Vermeer, Thomas Gainsborough, and many others. The museum was founded by the industrialist Henry Clay Frick (1849–1919), and its collection has more than doubled in size since opening to the public in 1935. The Frick also houses the Frick Art Reference Library, a premier art history research center established in 1920 by Helen Clay Frick (1888–1984).

Dominican Academy is a Catholic college preparatory school for girls founded by the Dominican Sisters of St. Mary of the Springs (now Dominican Sisters of Peace). It is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

The Upper East Side Historic District is a landmarked historic district on the Upper East Side of New York City's borough of Manhattan, first designated by the city in 1981. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Its boundaries were expanded in 2010.The district includes all of the Fifth Avenue properties bordering Central Park from 59th to 78th Street; both sides of Madison Avenue from 61st Street to 77th Street; both sides of Park Avenue from just below 62nd street to 72nd Street; and portions of both sides of Lexington Avenue from 63rd Street to 75th Street.The district is home to a number of buildings individually listed on the National Register, including the Gertrude Rhinelander Waldo Mansion and the Sara Delano Roosevelt Memorial House, as well as edifices that are more recent additions like the Edmond J. Safra Synagogue — a 2003 building designed in an "artful synthesis of the composition, details and material palette of the Beaux-Arts style," to complement the historic buildings that surround it.
