The Upper East Side, sometimes abbreviated UES, is a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan in New York City, bounded by 96th Street to the north, the East River to the east, 59th Street to the south, and Central Park/Fifth Avenue to the west. The area incorporates several smaller neighborhoods, including Lenox Hill, Carnegie Hill, and Yorkville. The Americas Society is an organization dedicated to education, debate, and dialogue on the Americas. It is located at 680 Park Avenue on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and was established by David Rockefeller in 1965.The Americas Society promotes the understanding of the economic, political, and social issues confronting Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada; its mission is "to increase public awareness and appreciation of the diverse cultural heritage of the Americas and the importance of the inter-American relationship."

The Harold Pratt House is a historic mansion located at 58 East 68th Street (at the corner of Park Avenue) on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. It serves as the headquarters of the Council on Foreign Relations think tank. The building's formal receptions rooms are also available to be rented for meetings, weddings and other special events.The house was constructed from 1919 to 1920 as a residence for oil industrialist Harold I. Pratt and his family. The Council on Foreign Relations moved into the building in April 1945 after it was donated by Pratt's widow, Harriet Barnes Pratt, in 1944.

The Upper East Side Historic District is a landmarked historic district on the Upper East Side of New York City's borough of Manhattan, first designated by the city in 1981. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. Its boundaries were expanded in 2010.The district includes all of the Fifth Avenue properties bordering Central Park from 59th to 78th Street; both sides of Madison Avenue from 61st Street to 77th Street; both sides of Park Avenue from just below 62nd street to 72nd Street; and portions of both sides of Lexington Avenue from 63rd Street to 75th Street.The district is home to a number of buildings individually listed on the National Register, including the Gertrude Rhinelander Waldo Mansion and the Sara Delano Roosevelt Memorial House, as well as edifices that are more recent additions like the Edmond J. Safra Synagogue — a 2003 building designed in an "artful synthesis of the composition, details and material palette of the Beaux-Arts style," to complement the historic buildings that surround it.

The William Sloane House (also known as the William and Frances Crocker Sloane House) is a mansion located on 686 Park Avenue between 68th and 69th Streets in the Upper East Side of New York City. It was constructed for the industrialist William Sloane and his wife Frances Crocker Sloane in 1919 by Delano & Aldrich in the Colonial Revival style as one of the Park Avenue Houses. It changed ownership multiple times. Today the Italian Cultural Institute of New York is located there, next to the adjacent Italian consulate-general. The House was designated a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1970. It is on the National Register #80002708 (1980).

655 Park Avenue is a Georgian-style co-op residential building on Manhattan's Upper East Side, located on Park Avenue between 67th Street and 68th Street, adjacent to the Park Avenue Armory. It was developed in 1924 by Dwight P. Robinson & Company. The building at 655 Park Avenue was designed by architects James Edwin Ruthven Carpenter, Jr., often referred to by the initials "J.E.R. Carpenter", and Mott B. Schmidt. Carpenter is considered the leading architect for luxury residential high-rise buildings in New York City in the early 1900s, while Schmidt is known for his buildings in the American Georgian Classical style, including Sutton Place and houses for New York City's society figures and business elite.
