Guildwood Estates

St. Patrick's High School, located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is a Catholic high school publicly funded under the Ontario school system as part of the Ottawa Catholic School Board. It was founded in 1929 by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

Ridgemont High School. It is an Ottawa-Carleton District School Board secondary school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The school is located at 2597 Alta Vista Drive in the Alta Vista neighbourhood of Ottawa. It is next door to St. Patrick's High School, a Roman Catholic high school, and Charles Hulse Elementary School, also in the OCDSB.

Alta Vista is a neighbourhood in Alta Vista Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Its boundaries according to the Alta Vista Community Association are that part of Alta Vista Ward south of Smyth Road in the north, north of Walkley Road and east of the Rideau River (and Bank Street), and west of the "greenspace underneath Haig Drive". However, the name is ambiguous, as there are several sub-neighbourhoods in this area, (see list below), as the neighbourhood could refer to the ward as a whole, down to the core Alta Vista area, (which could be defined as south of Pleasant Park Road, north of Heron Road, and west of the eastern greenspace corridor), centred on Alta Vista Drive. Alta Vista Drive is a major street running through the neighbourhood, and shares its name. Both are named for their relative height, as the neighbourhood is generally higher than most of the city. Alta Vista is a highly residential neighbourhood with a strong community, several schools, religious buildings of many faiths, and community centres. It also has a vast amount of greenspace and parks, much of which is part of the Alta Vista Transportation Corridor Environmental Assessment Ottawa East Community Association. The OC Transpo Transitway also runs through Alta Vista, with two stations in the neighbourhood itself (Pleasant Park and Riverside) as well as two just outside (Billings Bridge and Smyth), serving as a vital transit link to the rest of the city. The General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital, and The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario are located just on the north side of Smyth Road, in Riverview, while the Riverside Campus of the Ottawa Hospital is located at Smyth and Riverside Drive. There are two shopping malls in and around Alta Vista: the Billings Bridge Plaza Shopping Centre at Bank Street and Riverside and the Elmvale Shopping Centre at St. Laurent and Smyth. Alta Vista had a population of about 24,726 as of the Canada 2021 Census (Community Association borders).

Heron Gate or Herongate is a neighbourhood in Alta Vista Ward and Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is defined by the Herongate Tenant Coalition as being bounded on the north by Heron Road, on the west by Heron-Walkley Park and Albion Road, and by the Walkley rail corridor on the south. The total population for this area (excluding the Oak apartments on Albion which are in a different Census block) according to the Canada 2021 Census was 9,974.There are several parks in the neighbourhood, and is served by Ridgemont High School), St. Patrick's High School, St. Patrick Intermediate and Charles Hulse Elementary School for education. The area has train tracks to the south. It is one of the most densely populated neighbourhoods in the city. A number of new developments were completed on the west of the neighbourhood between 2006 and 2008.

The Jim Durrell Recreation Centre is a multi-purpose dual-pad arena in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the south end of the city on Walkley road close to the intersection of Bank street. The Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Central Canada Hockey League are its primary tenant.

Machzikei Hadas (literally translated from Hebrew as 'Supporters of the law') is a Modern Orthodox synagogue in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Congregation Machzikei Hadas, is open to all, regardless of level of observance. Machzikei Hadas is broadening its programing for young families in an attempt to boost membership.

Pleasant Park station is a bus stop on Ottawa's Transitway served by OC Transpo buses. It is located in the southeastern transitway section at Pleasant Park Road (a collector road through Alta Vista) near Riverside Drive. The station is mostly used by people who take the 49 bus to or from Alta Vista, or by local residents in the nearby residential areas. The station has two levels: one connecting to Pleasant Park Road, the other to the transitway. It is one of the more lightly used stations due to the lack of any other trip generators or transfer connections.

The Herongate Square is an unenclosed shopping centre in the Heron Gate neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, at the intersection of Walkley Road and Heron Road. Prior to redevelopment in the mid-2010s, it was the site of the Herongate Mall, a medium-sized mall launched in 1981. It is currently owned by Trinity Financial.

Ellwood is a neighbourhood and former railway point in River Ward, in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded by Walkley Road on the north, the Transitway on the west, Albion Road on the east, and Ledbury Park on the south. The population of this area is approximately 2908 (2011 Census).

The Billings Estate National Historic Site is a heritage museum in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 2100 Cabot St. in the former home of one of the region's earliest settlers. The oldest wood-framed house in Ottawa was built in 1827-9 by Massachusetts-born Braddish Billings. It became the home for the following four generations of the Billings family. It is Ottawa's oldest surviving house, though the Bytown Museum building is older. Billings had moved to the area in 1812, and was the first settler in Gloucester Township. Billings became prosperous in the timber trade and built the large home that was named Park Hill. Billings later moved into agriculture, and the house became the centre of a large and prosperous farm providing produce for Bytown, with the farm linked to the town by the Bytown and Prescott Railway. The estate remained in the Billings family until 1975. Over time the property was slowly sold off to developers, and today the estate retains only a relatively small plot of land. In 1975, the house became the Billings Estate Museum which is today operated by the City of Ottawa. The house is included amongst other architecturally interesting and historically significant buildings in Doors Open Ottawa, held each year in early June.The estate also includes a historic cemetery that contains graves dating back to 1820.

Heron Park is a neighbourhood in Capital Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Its boundaries are the Rideau River to the north, the Sawmill Creek to the west, Bank Street to the east and Walkley Road to the south.The neighbourhood is divided by Heron Road but is considered all one neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is sometimes called Billings Bridge, due to its proximity to the bridge, which is the site of a former village and the Billings Bridge Shopping Centre. The total population of the neighbourhood is 3,991 (Canada 2016 Census).

Riverside is an OC Transpo bus station on Ottawa's Transitway that is connected to the Riverside Campus of The Ottawa Hospital near the intersection of Smyth Road and Riverside Drive. Stairs and elevators from the platform level lead directly to the interior of the hospital, making bus travel easy for medical appointments even in bad weather. The hospital is the primary trip generator and main purpose for this station. There are no connecting bus routes here. The station was built when the hospital underwent a major expansion of its facility. It agreed to let the transitway pass in its terrain and open a new station as there were initially no stations to be built at that location. The 4,200 square feet new administration wing and Transit station was completed in 1991.
