Jackson Crossing

Blackman Charter Township is a charter township of Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 24,051.The Michigan State Prison was partly located within the township. Four smaller state institutions currently occupy the former state prison grounds within the township. The township is also the junction of four major highways: Interstate 94, M-50, M-60 and U.S. Route 127.

The Temple Beth Israel Cemetery, also known as the Hebrew Cemetery, is a Jewish cemetery located at 420 North West Avenue in Jackson, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

It is named for U.S. President Andrew Jackson and considered to be one of Michigan's "Cabinet counties", named for members of Jackson's Cabinet.Jackson County comprises the Jackson, MI Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Jackson County Courthouse was designed by Claire Allen, a prominent southern Michigan architect. Jackson County is also home to the Michigan Whitetail Hall of Fame.

Westwood Mall is an enclosed shopping mall serving the community of Jackson, Michigan. It opened in 1972 and the mall's anchor stores are JCPenney and Walmart. There is 1 vacant anchor store that was once Younkers.

Jackson High School is a public high school located near downtown Jackson, Michigan. The school was created in 1908 with the merger of Jackson's West Side and East Side High Schools and moved to its present location in 1927. The school's mascot is the Viking. The athletic teams compete as members of the Southeastern Conference as of 2018. It is a part of the Jackson Public Schools. Jackson High School, alongside its normal curriculum, has a dual enrollment program where students can take courses at the local community college, Jackson College.

Temple Beth Israel (Hebrew: בית ישראל) is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 801 West Michigan Avenue in Jackson, Michigan, in the United States. Formed in 1862 by Jews of German background, it grew out of the Hebrew Benevolent Society, which had been organized in 1858, and was the second Reform congregation in Michigan.After meeting in downtown Jackson in two different buildings, the congregation moved to its current site, on Michigan Avenue, that was dedicated in 1949 and remodelled following a fire in 1971. The congregation's cemetery is the oldest Jewish cemetery in continuous use and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in June 2009.Dr. Jonathan V. Plaut, the son of the late rabbi Dr. W. Gunther Plaut, joined as rabbi in 2000 and served the congregation until his death in 2012. In September 2011 Rabbi S. Robert Morais became Beth Israel's rabbi.

Sparton Horn Plant was a factory in Jackson, Michigan in operation from 1909 to 2008. It made auto parts.

The Hugh H. Richard House, also known as the Hand Building, or Fossores Chapter House, located at 505 Wildwood Avenue in Jackson, Michigan, was built as a single-family home, and later converted to office use. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Michigan State Prison or Jackson State Prison, which opened in 1839, was the first prison in Michigan. After 150 years, the prison was divided, starting in 1988, into four distinct prisons, still in Jackson: the Parnall Correctional Facility which is a minimum-security prison; the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility where prisoners can finish their general education; the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center which is the common point of processing for all male state prisoners sentenced to any Michigan prison; and the Cooper Street Correctional Facility which is the common point for processing of all male state prisoners about to discharge, parole, or enter a community center or the camp program.

The Michner Plating Co. - Mechanic Street Site, as dubbed by the EPA, is a 140,000 square foot industrial complex that sits upstream to the Grand River in Jackson, Michigan. on the corner of N Mechanic Street and W Trail Street.

The Jackson Carnegie Library is the main branch of the Jackson District Library, located at 244 West Michigan Street in Jackson, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The First Congregational Church is a historic church in downtown Jackson, Michigan, adjacent to the original city square. It was listed as a Michigan State Historic Site in 1987 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in July 2017. The church is currently home to the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ of Jackson.
