Highland Park Independent School District (HPISD) is a public school district based in University Park, Texas, within the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. HPISD serves most of the town of Highland Park, all of the city of University Park, and two small portions of Dallas. Those two portions are one that is north of Greenbrier Drive, south of Northwest Highway, east of the Dallas North Tollway, and west of Douglas Avenue; and one that is west of Preston Road and north of Colgate Avenue. The Dallas Independent School District surrounds HPISD on all sides. HPISD administers seven schools and seven campuses. The District is run by a school board consisting of seven elected, unpaid members. The District's number for TEA reporting purposes is 057911.

Scotland Yard is a baseball park located in Highland Park, Texas, and was the home field of TCL Highland Park Blue Sox from 2004 to 2005 before moving to Plano, Texas for the 2006 season. It is the home field of the Highland Park Scots baseball team.

Preston Hollow Elementary School is a public primary school in the Preston Hollow area of north Dallas, Texas. Preston Hollow Elementary School enrolls students in grades pre-kindergarten–5 and is a part of the Dallas independent school District. The school is located within the Preston Hollow North subdivision. The school serves homes within the homeowner associations of Glen Lakes, Lane Park, Preston Hollow North, Sorento, and Windsor Park. It also serves The Meadows Neighborhood Association and a portion of the Caruth Hills Home Place Neighborhood Association.In 2006 the school lost a civil lawsuit over a plan to group White students into the same classes and over-classify Hispanic students as English as a second language (ESL) learners in order to group Anglo White students in the same classes.

Ursuline Academy of Dallas (commonly referred to as Ursuline or UA) is a Catholic college preparatory school for girls located on Walnut Hill Lane, in the area around Preston Hollow in Dallas, Texas, USA. It is not a member of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas since it was founded in 1874, before the foundation of the Diocese of Dallas, making it the oldest school in the city of Dallas.Founded by the Ursuline Sisters under the motto of Serviam, meaning "I will serve." Ursuline enrolls an average of 800 students each year with a 10:1 average student-teacher ratio. In 2020, it was awarded 2020 Niche Best Schools #46 Best All-Girls High Schools in America. It was also awarded Niche Best Schools #38 Best Catholic High Schools in America.
