SMU Dedman School of Law, commonly referred to as SMU Law School or Dedman School of Law is a law school located in Dallas, Texas. It was founded in February 1925. SMU Law School is located on the campus of its parent institution, Southern Methodist University. SMU’s Law School was renamed SMU Dedman School of Law in February 2001 in honor of its late benefactors, Robert H. Dedman Sr. and his wife, Nancy Dedman. SMU Law School was the only law school in Dallas until UNT opened its law school in 2014, and it is one of ten law schools in Texas. The current dean of the law school is Jennifer Collins.

The Edwin L. Cox School of Business is an American business school, part of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. The SMU Cox School of Business is headquartered in four buildings on SMU's 210-acre main campus five miles north of downtown Dallas and has a second campus in Plano, Texas. Led by Dean Matthew Myers, SMU Cox offers a full range of business education programs, including BBA, full-time MBA, MBA Professional (Part-Time), Executive MBA, Master of Science in Management, Master of Science in Business Analytics and non-degree Executive Education. It is home to the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship, Business Leadership Center (BLC), Maguire Energy Institute, and American Airlines Global Leadership Program (AAGLP) as well as an Associate Board Executive Mentoring Program. It has an international alumni network with chapters in more than twenty countries.Its largest program is its full-time MBA, which is one of the most selective in the world, and with a powerful alumni base it has consistently ranked among the top business schools worldwide for MBA, PMBA, EMBA and BBA in a wide range of categories. The Cox School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering is the school of engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The engineering program has existed at SMU since 1925. Many of the college's degree programs are accredited by ABET. The school is divided into five departments, or areas of study - Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Operations Research and Engineering Management, and Mechanical Engineering. In October 2008, the school was renamed for alumnus and SMU trustee Bobby B. Lyle.

McFarlin Memorial Auditorium is a proscenium style theatre located on the campus of Southern Methodist University. The venue seats 2,386 on three levels. The building is the third oldest on SMU's campus and has hosted a number of notable acts.

Influenced by the Roman Pantheon and architecture by Thomas Jefferson, it was constructed by the architectural firm of Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge in 1915. The first building on campus, it housed most of the university's operations. The campus has since been expanded around Dallas Hall, but it remains the center of SMU. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
