The Kresge Hearing Research Institute is an institute of Otolaryngology of the Department of Otolaryngology in the University of Michigan. The research institute was officially opened in 1963 to investigate the human hearing and causes of deafness. In 2005, the discovery of being able to regrow cochlea hair nerves in guinea pigs at KHRI made international news.

The A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, also known as Taubman College, is the school of urban planning and one of the nineteen schools of the University of Michigan located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Taubman College offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Master of Architecture (ranked #1 in 2010 by DesignIntelligence), Master of Science in Architecture, Master of Urban Planning, Master of Urban Design, and PhD programs. Formerly known as the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, the college was named after real estate developer, philanthropist and convicted felon A. Alfred Taubman when he donated $30 million to the college in May 1999. The gift was one of the largest in the history of the University of Michigan and the largest ever to a school of architecture.

The Detroit Observatory is located on the corner of Observatory and Ann streets in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was built in 1854, and was the first scientific research facility at the University of Michigan and one of the oldest observatories of its type in the nation. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1958 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The University of Michigan School of Public Health is one of the professional graduate schools of the University of Michigan. Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, UM SPH is one of the oldest schools of public health in the country and is also considered one of the top schools focusing on health in the United States. Founded in 1941, the School of Public Health grew out of the University of Michigan's degree programs in public health, some of which date back to the 19th century. According to U.S. News & World Report's report on graduate programs, the University of Michigan School of Public Health was ranked as the #4 School of Public Health in the country and also had the #1 Healthcare Management program in the country in 2011.

The Life Sciences Institute (LSI) is a collaborative, multidisciplinary research institution located on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. It encompasses 27 faculty-led teams from 13 schools and departments throughout U-M. The LSI brings together leading scientists from a variety of life science disciplines, working with a range of models systems and cutting-edge research tools, to accelerate breakthroughs and discoveries that will broaden understanding of the basic processes of life and lead to new treatments to improve human health. Of the university's $823 million in research expenditures, more than half is allocated for research in the life sciences, and the LSI is a cornerstone of this effort.

Mary Markley Hall (Markley) is a residence hall operated by the University of Michigan University Housing in Ann Arbor.

C.S. Mott Children's Hospital is a pediatric acute care hospital located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The hospital has 244 pediatric beds and is affiliated with the University of Michigan Medical School. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults 0-21 throughout Michigan and the surrounding states. The hospital sometimes also treats older adults that require pediatric care. C.S. Mott Children's Hospital also features a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, 1 of 3 in the state. Attached to the children's hospital is the Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital that provides maternal and gynecological care for women. The hospital moved to a newly constructed building in 2011. Although commonly understood to be a physical health complex, C.S. Mott Children's Hospital also includes a youth and adolescent psychiatric ward separate from the rest of the children's hospital. The C. S. Mott Children's and Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital employs about 4,000 people and is gradually hiring 500 more now that the hospital expansion is complete.

Stockwell Hall, completed in 1940 at a cost of $1 million, is a formerly all-female (now coed) residence hall at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. It houses 418 predominantly second-year students. It was named after Madelon Louisa Stockwell of Kalamazoo, Michigan, the first woman admitted to the University in 1870. Men were in residence for a single summer session in the early 1990s. Stockwell was closed for the 2008/2009 school year for a $40 million renovation, which included upgraded bathrooms, plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, wired and wireless internet access, and fire detection and sprinkler systems. The existing cafeteria was converted into new community spaces as the new marketplace style Hill Dining Center located next door currently serves the Hill community. It became a coed residence hall in fall 2009.

Michigan Medicine (previously University of Michigan Health System) is the academic medical center of the University of Michigan, a public research university in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Michigan Medicine consists of the University of Michigan Medical School and the University of Michigan Health hospitals and healthcare centers.

The University of Michigan School of Nursing is the nursing school of the University of Michigan, and is located in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Ann Arbor, Michigan. First opened as the University of Michigan Training School for Nurses in 1891, the school offered a two-year curriculum. The first nursing degree program for nursing students was inaugurated in 1919. In 1975, the School of Nursing became one of the first nursing school in the United States to offer a research-based Doctorate of Philosophy in nursing.

The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies, commonly known as the Rackham Graduate School, is the graduate school of the University of Michigan. Founded in 1912 with an endowment from Mary Rackham in 1935, the Rackham Graduate School is responsible for almost all of Michigan's graduate degree and certificate programs. The school offers more than 180 master's and doctorate degree programs.The Rackham Graduate School is housed in the Rackham Education Memorial Building. The building was designed by William Kapp of the firm Smith, Hinchman & Grylls with architectural sculpture by Corrado Parducci.

Forest Hill Cemetery is a 65-acre (260,000 m2) cemetery at 415 Observatory Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was designed by James Lewis Glenn and opened in 1857.
