Leechburg Bridge

Leechburg is a borough in southern Armstrong County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, 35 miles (56 km) northeast of Pittsburgh. A population of 2,149 residents live within the borough limits as of the 2020 census, according to United States Census Bureau. Leechburg was founded by David Leech, for whom it was named, and was incorporated as a borough in 1850. Located along the Kiskiminetas River, Leechburg was a major port of the Pennsylvania Canal. Early in the 20th century, it was the site of extensive steel sheet works, foundries, cement plants, and productive coal mines. Leechburg was the first place where natural gas was used for industrial purposes.

The Mill Bridge is a structure that crosses the Kiskiminetas River between West Leechburg and Leechburg in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. A 1938 truss bridge, the structure carries the eponymous Mill Bridge Road between the two boroughs. However, it is not the main access route in the area; rather it was designed for industrial purposes, as it connects central Leechburg with the Allegheny Technologies Ludlum Plant, which has long been a fixture in the area. In 1992, the bridge was rehabilitated.

West Leechburg is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Kiskiminetas River. The population was 1,294 at the 2010 census.

Hyde Park is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 509 at the 2020 census.

Kiski Area High School is a public high school in Leechburg, Pennsylvania. Kiski Area is the only high school in the Kiski Area School District which serves eight municipalities in Westmoreland County and one municipality in Armstrong County.

Kiskimere is a census-designated place located in Parks Township, Armstrong County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census the population was 135. The community is located on the east bank of the Kiskiminetas River and is bordered by the community of Pleasant View to the south. To the west, across the river, is Allegheny Township in Westmoreland County. Pennsylvania Route 66 (River Road) passes through Kiskimere, leading 3 miles (5 km) northwest (downstream) to Leechburg and 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southeast (upstream) to North Vandergrift.

Carnahan Run is a tributary of the Kiskiminetas River in Armstrong County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

Parks Township is a township in Armstrong County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The population was 2,471 at the 2020 census, a decrease from 2,744 at the 2010 census.

Allegheny Township is a township in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 8,316 at the 2020 census, an increase from 8,002 at the 2000 census. It is the northernmost municipality of Westmoreland County. The municipality borders the townships of Buffalo, Harrison, Upper Burrell, and Washington; and the boroughs of Oklahoma, Vandergrift, Leechburg, West Leechburg, Lower Burrell, Freeport and Hyde Park. It is served by the Kiski Area School District.

North Vandergrift-Pleasant View was a census-designated place (CDP) in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,355 at the 2000 census. For the 2010 census, the area was split into two CDPs, North Vandergrift and Pleasant View.

Gilpin Township is a Second class Township in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, United States. At the 2010 census it had a population of 2,496. As of the 2020 census, its population had decreased to 2,411, a 3.4% decrease.

Vandergrift is a borough in Westmoreland County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, approximately 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Pittsburgh. Early in the 20th century, it had the largest sheet steel mill in the world. On June 28, 1915, the Borough of Vandergrift Heights was consolidated with Vandergrift. In 1900, 2,076 people lived here; in 1910, 3,876. The 1915 consolidation almost doubled Vandergrift's population when Vandergrift Heights added approximately 3,438 new residents (1910 population). By 1940, 10,725 people lived in Vandergrift. The population was 5,455 at the 2000 census, and 5,205 in 2010.
