Kiski Area High School is a public high school in Leechburg, Pennsylvania. Kiski Area is the only high school in the Kiski Area School District which serves eight municipalities in Westmoreland County and one municipality in Armstrong County.

West Leechburg is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Kiskiminetas River. The population was 1,294 at the 2010 census.

The Leechburg Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Kiskiminetas River between West Leechburg and Leechburg in Pennsylvania U.S.A. It carries unsigned state route 4093 and connects with Pennsylvania Route 66 just after the Leechburg approach. This five-span 1935 truss bridge replaced an older structure on the site. It features unusually wide shoulders, due to the presence of turning lanes immediately at the ends of the bridge. In 1984, the bridge was rehabilitated.

Leechburg is a borough in southern Armstrong County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, 35 miles (56 km) northeast of Pittsburgh. Leechburg was founded by David Leech, for whom it was named, and was incorporated as a borough in 1850. Located along the Kiskiminetas River, Leechburg was a major port of the Pennsylvania Canal. Early in the 20th century, it was the site of extensive steel sheet works, foundries, cement plants, and productive coal mines. Leechburg was the first place where natural gas was used for industrial purposes.

The Mill Bridge is a structure that crosses the Kiskiminetas River between West Leechburg and Leechburg in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. A 1938 truss bridge, the structure carries the eponymous Mill Bridge Road between the two boroughs. However, it is not the main access route in the area; rather it was designed for industrial purposes, as it connects central Leechburg with the Allegheny Technologies Ludlum Plant, which has long been a fixture in the area. In 1992, the bridge was rehabilitated.

Kiskimere is a census-designated place located in Parks Township, Armstrong County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census the population was 135. The community is located on the east bank of the Kiskiminetas River and is bordered by the community of Pleasant View to the south. To the west, across the river, is Allegheny Township in Westmoreland County. Pennsylvania Route 66 (River Road) passes through Kiskimere, leading 3 miles (5 km) northwest (downstream) to Leechburg and 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southeast (upstream) to North Vandergrift.

Burrell High School is a public high school located at 1021 Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania. Part of the Burrell School District, the building houses grades 9 through 12. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, in 2010, the school reported an enrollment of 627 pupils. Burrell High School employed 39 teachers, yielding a student–teacher ratio of 16:1.

Byerly House, also known as the Best House, is a historic home located in Upper Burrell Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The main section was built in 1842, with a rear ell dated to the 1830s. The main section is a two-story, brick dwelling, five bays wide and on a stone foundation. It has a gable roof and three chimneys. It has a one-story, rear ell consisting of two rooms. It is a vernacular dwelling with Post Colonial and Greek Revival design elements.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
