Bredwardine Castle was sited in the village of Bredwardine in Herefordshire, England beside the River Wye. Thought to have been built in the second half of the 12th century. By the 15th century it had become a ruin.

Letton is a village and civil parish in west Herefordshire, England, and is approximately 11 miles (20 km) west-northwest from the city and county town of Hereford. The parish contains the village of Letton, the hamlet of Waterloo, and the farming hamlets of Hurstley and Kinley. The nearest towns are the market towns of Hay-on-Wye 7 miles (11 km) to the west, and Kington 7 miles to the north. Bredwardine is a village and civil parish in the west of Herefordshire, England. Significant parish landmarks include a brick bridge over the River Wye, the historic Red Lion late 17th-century coaching inn, St Andrew's Church, and the site of Bredwardine Castle. The Wye Valley Walk passes through the village which is on the B4352 road. The name is pronounced to rhyme with "dine", and means "Brid's farm". Notable people associated with Bredwardine include Rowland Vaughan (1559–1629), the landowner and pioneer of irrigation, who was born here; Sir Charles Thomas Newton (1816–1894), the archaeologist, who was raised in Bredwardine, where his father was vicar; and Francis Kilvert (1840–1879), the diarist and cleric who was vicar of Bredwardine from late 1877 until his death on 23 September 1879.

Moccas Court is an 18th-century country house which sits in sloping grounds overlooking the River Wye north of the village of Moccas, Herefordshire, England. It is now a luxury guest house and function venue. The house was built in 1775–81 by the architect Anthony Keck for Sir George Armyand Cornewall to replace the existing Manor house near the church. Built in three storeys to a rectangular plan, it was constructed of brick with stone dressings and a stone tile roof. It has a seven bay frontage with a single storey semi-circular plan porch which was added in 1792. The grounds were landscaped to plans by Capability Brown. The house is a Grade I listed building.The Cornewall family occupied Moccas until 1916 when Sir Geoffrey Cornewall, the 6th Baronet, moved to a smaller house on the estate, after which the house was let on a long lease. After death of Sir William Cornewall, the 7th Baronet in 1962, the estate passed to the Chester-Master family who owned the house until 2014. They undertook a programme of restoration and modernisation and offered luxury guest accommodation. In late 2014, the house and estate of circa 200 acres was sold, for an undisclosed price, to Linda Bennett, founder of the LK Bennett shoes and fashion brand. It is believed her husband was brought up in the locality.

Moccas Monastery was an early mediaeval monastery near Moccas in Herefordshire, England at grid reference SO35654327. Neither the foundation nor dissolution date is known.

Moccas is a village and civil parish in the English county of Herefordshire. It is located 14 miles (23 km) west of Hereford. The population of the civil parish taken at the 2011 census was 105.The parish is mainly farmland with a number of woods, including Woodbury Hill Wood and the Moccas Park Deer Park (though mostly in Dorstone parish). The parish church of St Michael is well known as the site of the very early Welsh Moccas Monastery, founded by Saint Dubricius in the 6th century, as recorded in the Book of Llandaff. The church has a notable monument to the de Fresnes family, lords of the manor in the 14th century.Moccas Court, north of the village, replaced the old manor house which once stood next to the church. It is a fine Georgian country house, now a hotel, built between 1776 and 1783 for the Cornewall family by the architect Anthony Keck. The name Moccas probably derives from the Welsh Moch-rhos, meaning pig land, according to the Moccas village history website.

Monnington on Wye is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Brobury with Monnington-on-Wye, in western Herefordshire, England, located between Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. In 1961 the parish had a population of 64. On 1 April 1987 the parish was abolished and merged with Brobury to form "Brobury with Monnington on Wye".The place-name 'Monnington' is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as Manitune. The name means 'Manna's town or settlement', or 'the town or settlement of Manna's people'.The church of St Mary's is a grade I listed building.Monnington Court includes a moot hall, completed before 1230.Monnington is regarded as a possible location of Owain Glyndŵr's retirement, death and burial.

Kinnersley railway station was a station in Kinnersley, Herefordshire, England. The station was opened in 1863 and closed in 1962. The station was located south of the village, next to the present day Kinnersley Arms public house.

Staunton on Wye is a relatively unpopulated civil parish in West Herefordshire, which is perhaps one of the most uninhabited locations of England. The parish of Staunton, which includes Moorhampton and Bredwardine, is a key player in trading in Herefordshire. The population of this parish taken at the 2011 census was 213. Recently, the village has become a growth area for various forms of development, unfortunately several developments have actively sort to undermine local planning rules and neighbourhood development frameworks, which has tarnished the reputation of the village to some extent. The most significant development in Staunton-on-wye in recent years is OakChurch, the local farm shop-cum-superstore. Despite its humble beginnings as a roadside shack selling strawberries and other soft fruit it has grown into a business selling everything from garden supplies to home decor. The sale of soft fruit still makes up a large portion of the business. This can be seen in the many hectares of local farmland that have been converted to polytunnels, resulting in Staunton's unglamorous nickname of Staunton-on-plastic!

Kinnersley Castle in Herefordshire, England, is one of the many marches castles along the Welsh Borders. The Castle of Kinnersley, on the A4112 3 km (1.9 mi) east of Eardisley, was originally a stone structure, thought to have been built during the reign of Henry I of England (1100-1135 C.E.). The Elizabethan building that now occupies the site has obliterated all but a few traces of the medieval castle. Although it looks predominantly Elizabethan on the outside, it has many features of different periods. It was bought by Roger Vaughan in 1588. It was 'renovated' in the 16th century by the Vaughn family and houses a fine example of an intricate plasterwork ceiling in the solar, thought to be one of the oldest in Herefordshire. There are many green men and serpent hounds to be found on this ceiling, a lot of the detail is picked out in gold. On the stone overmantel of the fireplace, carved into the stone is a boy's head with a serpent around its neck. Roger's son, John Vaughan inherited the castle, but then sold it to Francis Smallman Kinnersley Castle is the registered address of The Mereon Legacy CIC, a Community Interest Company, set up to hold the intellectual property rights related to the Mereon Matrix, and to "further explore, describe, understand and disseminate" knowledge related to this dynamic, three-dimensıonal geometric model which is composed of two many faced polyhedra.

The Church of St James is a Church of England parish church at Kinnersley in the English county of Herefordshire. It is a Grade I listed building.
