St. Raymond's Church (Bronx)

St. Raymond Academy for Girls is a private, Roman Catholic high school for girls in Parkchester, Bronx, New York, United States. It was established in 1960 by the Sisters of Charity and located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. The school has been accredited by the NYS Board of Regents since 1965. The Commission on Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association first granted the academy accreditation effective 2003–2010. In 2009–2010, the academy completed the review for re-accreditation and received the renewal of certification. Accreditation has been renewed until December 2017.

St. Raymond High School for Boys is a parochial high school affiliated with the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of New York. It is accredited by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Brothers of the Christian Schools. The school is a recipient of a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award (1994–1996), and holds memberships with the National Catholic Educational Association and the Catholic Administrators Association of New York State. It is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York in the Parkchester section of the Bronx. The school's mascot is the Raven.

Westchester Square Medical Center, located in Westchester Square, opened in 1930 as Westchester Square Hospital (which closed in 2013), and currently houses an emergency room, operating rooms, and offices for Montefiore Medical Center.

The Church of St. Francis Xavier is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Archdiocese of New York, located at 1703 Lurting Avenue, Morris Park, in the Bronx. The parish has a church and school, both of which were founded by the Rev. James Edward Kearney (1884–1977), later the Bishop of Salt Lake City and Bishop of Rochester.

Parkchester is a planned community and neighborhood originally developed by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and located in the central Bronx, New York City. The immediate surrounding area also takes its name from the complex. The 6 and <6>​ trains of the New York City Subway operate along Westchester Avenue. The neighborhood is patrolled by the New York City Police Department's 43rd Precinct. The privately owned housing complex is patrolled by the Parkchester Department of Public Safety.

Parkchester General Hospital, located in The Bronx, was a privately owned 208-bed medical facility that opened in 1941 and closed in 1978.

The Church of St. Helena is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of New York. Its parish church is located at the intersection of Olmstead Avenue and Benedict Avenue, Bronx, New York City, in the Unionport neighborhood. It was established in 1940, and the church building was built in the same year and was designed by the prominent architectural firm of Eggers & Higgins.

The Castle Hill Avenue station is a local station on the IRT Pelham Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Castle Hill and Westchester Avenues in the Castle Hill neighborhood in the Bronx, it is served by the 6 train at all times except weekdays in the peak direction, when the <6> train takes over.

Morris Park Racecourse was an American thoroughbred horse racing facility from 1889 to 1904. It was located in a part of Westchester County, New York that was annexed into the Bronx in 1895 and later developed as the neighborhood of Morris Park. The racecourse was the site of the Belmont Stakes from 1890 through 1904 as well as the Preakness Stakes in 1890.

Our Saviour Lutheran School is a private, Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, co-educational school in Morris Park, Bronx, New York City, New York, United States. The origins of its younger grades' school began in 1942, and its high school was established in 1955. It is part of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour.Its class sizes are small and there is a dress code. It is an accredited member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Parkchester/Van Nest station is a planned passenger rail station on the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line, to be located within Bronx Community Board 11 in Van Nest and just north of Parkchester. The station is planned to open in 2027 as part of the Penn Station Access project, which will add four stations in The Bronx. It will be located east of Unionport Road, with entrance from East Tremont Avenue.
