Clayton Wesley Uniting Church, formerly Clayton Congregational Church, is a church building in the Adelaide suburb of Beulah Park (historically located in Kensington), located on Portrush Road, in a commanding position at the eastern end of The Parade, Norwood, in South Australia. The current building with its tall spire was built was built in 1883, although an earlier building (still behind the present church and now known as the Lecture Hall) was built in 1856.

Mary MacKillop College is a Catholic girls secondary school in the Adelaide suburb of Kensington. The Josephite sisters have been providing Catholic education in Kensington since 1872 six years after the order was founded by Mary MacKillop, who lived in the Kensington district for eleven years. Since then several sites in the area have been used as schools; the current secondary college developed out of a "cottage school" on the grounds of the convent across the road.Mary MacKillop College educates students from Year 7 to Year 12. Middle school students (Years 7, 8 and 9) study compulsory courses across eight key learning areas. Senior students are allowed greater flexibility in their studies from Year 10 and undertake studies towards the South Australian Certificate of Education in Years 11 and 12. Senior students are also able to undertake Vocational Education and Training courses.Mary MacKillop College is a member of the South Australian Catholic Girls Sports Association and the South Australian Secondary Sports Association, and students from the College participate in a variety of team and individual sporting competitions. Students are also able to participate in various cultural, liturgical and community activities.In 2010 there were 537 students enrolled at the school. In 2015 there were 320. In 2020, there were 406 students enrolled at the school, across years 7 to 12.

East Torrens was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1857 to 1902 and again from 1915 to 1938.East Torrens was also the name of an electoral district of the unicameral South Australian Legislative Council from 1851 until its abolition in 1857, George Waterhouse (July 1851 to June 1854), Charles Fenn (June 1854 to August 1855) and John Bristow Hughes (September 1855 to February 1857) being the members.

Kensington is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters council area. Unlike the rest of the city, Kensington's streets are laid out diagonally. Second Creek runs through and under part of the suburb.

The City of Kensington and Norwood, originally the Corporate Town of Kensington and Norwood, was a local government area in South Australia from 1853 to 1997, centred on the inner eastern Adelaide suburbs of Kensington and Norwood. In November 1997 it amalgamated with the City of Payneham and the Town of St Peters to form the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.

The Norwood Town Hall is the council seat of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, and the building includes a number of other venues. It is located at 175 The Parade in Norwood, an inner-eastern suburb of greater Adelaide, South Australia, five minutes east of the city centre. The current town hall building was completed in 1883, with the large concert hall added at the back between 1914 and 1918. The former City of Kensington and Norwood was the first outside of the City of Adelaide to receive the right to set up their own municipal corporation. The charter of the town was given on 7 July 1853 by the Governor, Sir Henry Young, and the original town hall building, constructed in 1859, was the first town hall built in South Australia.The current building was designed by Alfred Wells, who then worked as an architectural draughtsman for the firm Bayer and Withall, after his design had won a competition held in 1881. The classical style building opened in 1883 and included civic offices and a banqueting hall to service the growing town.The Town Hall clock, which was gifted by then mayor Sir Edwin Thomas Smith in 1890, is a local landmark.The Town Hall's concert hall was added during World War I, instigated by then mayor Henry J. Holden. At that time, it was the largest venue of the type in the state.Films were screened in the hall from 7 May 1897. In the 1940s the building became part of D. Clifford Theatres Ltd and was later taken over by Greater Union Cinemas.The building was listed in the South Australian Heritage Register on 28 November 1985.The concert hall is featured in the film Shine, with Geoffrey Rush playing the role of the pianist David Helfgott, who is seen in the movie playing the music of Franz Liszt. The Bösendorfer grand piano loaned by the Australian Society of Keyboard Music had to be winched up to the first floor hall. The piano is now stored in the Pilgrim Church, Flinders Street in Adelaide, where it is used for recitals each week.

Trinity Gardens is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. The name is taken from Holy Trinity Church.

Marryatville is a small suburb about 4–5 kilometres (2.5–3.1 mi) east of Adelaide's central business district, in the local council area of City of Norwood Payneham St Peters. Comprising low- to medium-density housing, two large schools, a church and several shops, it also has two creeks running through it. The first European settler on the land was George Brunskill in 1839, with part of the land purchased and laid out as a village in 1848 by James Philcox.

The Burnside War Memorial Hospital is the only private community hospital in the City of Burnside, Adelaide, South Australia. A local resident of Toorak Gardens, Otto George Ludwig von Rieben, offered his Attunga property for use as a community hospital free of charge in 1944. The council had first suggested building a community hospital in August 1943 as part of its Post-War Reconstruction and Development Committee; it was to cost 100,000 pounds and to remain as a memorial to honour Burnside's war dead. In April 1949 the first conversion of von Rieben's home was complete and the hospital was caring for 21 patients. The hospital closed for a month in 1956 and when it reopened was given its present name: The Burnside War Memorial Hospital. By then it had cared for over 1,400 patients.

The City of Onkaparinga () is a local government area (LGA) located on the southern fringe of Adelaide, South Australia. It is named after the Onkaparinga River, whose name comes from Ngangkiparinga, a Kaurna word meaning women's river. It is the largest LGA in South Australia, with a population of over 170,000 people in both urban and rural communities and is also geographically expansive, encompassing an area of 518.3 km². The council is headquartered in the Noarlunga Centre with area offices situated in Aberfoyle Park, Woodcroft and Willunga.

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is a metropolitan local government area of South Australia. It covers the inner eastern suburbs of Adelaide. It is divided into five wards: Torrens, Payneham, West Norwood/Kent Town, Kensington (each electing two councillors), and Maylands/Trinity (three councillors). The council is based at the historic Norwood Town Hall. Comprising the council is a mayor and 13 elected members, who are supported by a chief executive, as well as four general managers and approximately 175 field and inside staff.

Maylands is a suburb of Adelaide located within the City of Norwood Payneham St Peters, and bounded by the main roads Portrush Road and Magill Road.
