Križan Vrh (pronounced [ˈkɾiːʒaɱ ˈʋəɾx]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Bistrica ob Sotli in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region; until January 2014 it was part of the Savinja Statistical Region. The hamlet of Trebeže in the settlement with its traditional mid–19th-century farmhouses, barns, and outbuildings has been protected as a national heritage site by the Slovenian Ministry of Culture.

Podsreda (pronounced [pɔˈtsɾeːda]; German: Hörberg) is a village in the Municipality of Kozje in eastern Slovenia. It is located near the Croatian border, in the traditional region of Styria. It is known for its market, which takes place every Sunday, and for Podsreda Castle, located above the village itself. The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to John the Baptist and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje. It was built between 1802 and 1810. Podsreda Castle is a castle south of the main settlement. It dates to around 1150 and is probably the best-preserved example of secular Romanesque architecture in Slovenia. It features a typical 12th-century defensive tower (keep), a Romanesque chapel, and two wings from about the same period. The orderly, rectangular plan is also typical of the late Romanesque period.

Podsreda Castle is a fortress in Slovenia with in the Kozje region. It was formerly known as Hörberg or Herberch. The castle contains a small chapel and a defense tower.: 212  It was built in the 13th century.: 170  Then the castle was owned by the counts of Celje and the counts of Ptuj. During the Second World War the castle was nearly destroyed.: 166  However, since 1983 the castle has been under renovation by the Kozje Park Public Institute with renovations being completed in 2015.

Kozje (pronounced [ˈkoːzjɛ], German: Drachenburg) is a small town in eastern Slovenia. It is the seat of the Municipality of Kozje. The settlement of Kozje lies in the centre of the municipality, 36 km (22.37 mi) from Celje, 107 km (66.49 mi) from Ljubljana, and 30 km (18.64 mi) from Rogaška Slatina. It is the main settlement of the Kozje region (Slovene: Kozjansko). The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. It is one of the oldest settlements in the area, first mentioned in written documents dating to 1016. It was granted market rights before 1384. The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje. It was built on the site of an earlier building in the 15th century and has major 17th-century alterations. A second church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Hemma (Slovene: sveta Ema). It was built in around 1466 with 16th-century modifications and the nave extended in 1861.
