Podsreda

Podsreda Castle is a fortress in Slovenia with in the Kozje region. It was formerly known as Hörberg or Herberch. The castle contains a small chapel and a defense tower.: 212  It was built in the 13th century.: 170  Then the castle was owned by the counts of Celje and the counts of Ptuj. During the Second World War the castle was nearly destroyed.: 166  However, since 1983 the castle has been under renovation by the Kozje Park Public Institute with renovations being completed in 2015.

Gradišče (pronounced [ɡɾaˈdiːʃtʃɛ]) is a settlement above Podsreda in the Municipality of Kozje in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the historical Lower Styria region. The municipality is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. The local church, built on a hill south of the settlement known as Old Holy Mount (Slovene: Stara sveta gora), is dedicated to Mary of the Seven Sorrows and belongs to the Parish of Podsreda. It dates to the first half of the 14th century. A series of thirteen chapels representing Calvary and the Stations of the Cross was built along the path leading up the hill to the church in 1834.

It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. The local church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Oswald (Slovene: sveti Ožbolt) and belongs to the Parish of Podsreda. It was built between 1857 and 1863 on the site of an older building.
