Sjellebro Stone

DR 110, or the Virring stone, is a runestone made of granite that measures 155 cm (61 in) in height, 120 cm (47 in) in width and 27 cm (11 in) in thickness. It is written in Old East Norse in the Younger Futhark, and the runestone style is in a form called RAK.It was discovered in 1865 being used as the threshold for the church porch in the church of Virring in Denmark. It is tentatively dated to the period 900-960 based on the runes and the language. It had been severely worn down so many runes are missing.A peculiarity in the inscription is the m rune which has a rounded top(). It also contains an invocation to the Norse god Thor (Þor wigi þæssi kumbl), which it shares with a number of other runestones in Sweden and Denmark: the Rök runestone (Þōrr), the Velanda Runestone (Þorr vigi), Glavendrup stone (Þor wigi þæssi runaʀ), Sønder Kirkeby Runestone (Þor wigi runaʀ) and possibly Sö 140 (Siði(?) Þorr(?)).

Clausholm Castle is a large Danish country house located some 12 km southeast of Randers in eastern Jutland. It is one of Denmark's finest Baroque buildings.

Drastrup is a village on the peninsula of Jutland, with a population of 28 (2010). It is a part of Randers Municipality in the Central Denmark Region. The village is gradually becoming enveloped by the growth of Assentoft.

The Gudenå or Gudenåen (pronounced [ˈkuˀðn̩ˌɔˀn̩]), is Denmark's longest river and runs through the central parts of the Jutlandic peninsula. An anglicized version of the name often seen is 'The River Guden'. The Gudenåen has its spring in Tinnet Krat, Vejle Municipality (between Nørre Snede and Tørring-Uldum) and flows a total of 149 kilometres (93 mi) to Randers Fjord in Randers, on a northward course which takes it through the central parts of Jutland. On its way, the river traverses the relatively high lying region of Søhøjlandet, through the lakes of Naldal Sø, Vestbirk Sø, Mossø, Gudensø, Rye Mølle Sø, Birksø, Julsø, Borre Sø, Brassø, Silkeborg Langsø and Sminge Sø before it empties in Randers Fjord; a long inlet of the Kattegat sea. It is fed by numerous streams and wetlands along the way. The Gudenåen came into existence some 15,000 years ago, at the end of the last Ice Age, when melting ice and glacial streams carved out its bed. The river shelters many species of animals and parts of its course are to be protected under the regulations of Natura 2000.

Essenbæk Church (Essenbæk Kirke) in Assentoft is the parish church in Essenbæk Parish in Randers Southern Provostship in the Diocese of Aarhus.

Assentoft is a town on the peninsula of Jutland, with a population of 3,811 (2022). The town is located eight kilometers east of Randers, and is a part of Randers Municipality in the Central Denmark Region.

Langkaer Gymnasium - STX, HF & IB World School (formerly Langkær Gymnasium) was a secondary school and gymnasium in Tilst, Denmark. The school opened in 1975 and effectively closed in 2018 when it merged with Aarhus Tech. In 2014, the school had over 900 students enrolled, primarily between the ages of 15 and 19. The student body consisted of 30 classes divided between three years, with 10 new classes beginning each year. This made it the largest school of its type in Aarhus. At the time of its closure, Langkaer Gymnasium offered a 3 year matriculation examination (STX) program within four main branches: natural sciences, political sciences, linguistics and music. The school's 2 year Higher Preparatory Examination (HF) program was offered from 1975-1978 and again from 1989 onwards. Beginning in 2011, the school also offered a 2-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.Langkaer Gymnasium was a financially independent educational institution under the Danish state. It taught many students from the western area of Aarhus in addition to those from neighboring towns such as Galten, Hammel, Sabro and Mundelstrup. Compared to other gymnasiums in the greater Aarhus area with very limited diversity, Langkaer Gymnasium's student body, particularly after 2010, consisted of an increasing percentage of students from minority backgrounds. Controversial policies which divided students by their ethnic background gained significant national and international media attention in 2016. This controversy caused a rapid decline in student enrolment which eventually led to the school's closure.

Gammel Estrup Manor (Danish: Gammel Estrup) is a red-brick Renaissance manor house some 20 km (12 mi) east of Randers in Jutland, Denmark. The manor as we know it today can be traced back to 1490. But excavations have revealed evidence of earlier constructions also mentioned in texts under the name Essendrup dating back to 1340.

Hornslet station is a railway station serving the railway town of Hornslet, a commuter town of the city of Aarhus, located on the peninsula of Djursland in Jutland, Denmark.The station is located on the Grenaa railway line between Aarhus and Grenaa. It opened in 1877 with the opening of the Aarhus-Ryomgård section of the railway line. Since 2019, the station has been served by the Aarhus light rail system, a tram-train network combining tram lines in the city of Aarhus with operation on railway lines in the surrounding countryside.

Hvilsager is a village of Djursland located in Hvilsager Parish and Syddjurs Municipality. The Indian anthropologist G. Prakash Reddy did field work in the village in 1989, and published his observations in the book Sådan er danskerne! Rosenholm Castle (Danish: Rosenholm Slot) is Denmark's oldest family-owned castle. It is located on Djursland, north of Hornslet and northeast of Aarhus. It is one of the best-preserved complexes from the golden age of the manor house – from 1550 to 1630.

Essenbæk Abbey (Danish: Essenbæk Kloster) was a Benedictine monastery located in Essenbæk Parish eight kilometers east of Randers and 1.7 kilometers north of Assentoft, Denmark.
