The University of Saint Francis (USF) is a private Catholic university in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The university promotes Catholic and Franciscan values. The school's 2022–23 enrollment was 1,903 undergraduate and graduate students, the majority of whom come from states in the Midwest, primarily Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio.

Bishop John M. D’Arcy Stadium is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose stadium in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The facility is located on the campus of the University of Saint Francis and is named in honor of Bishop John M. D’Arcy, who served as diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana. The stadium is primarily used for American football and soccer. It is home to the Saint Francis Cougars football and soccer teams. The facility opened in 1998 when the Cougars played their first season of football. At that time, it was referred to as Cougar Stadium. In 2003, the stadium was given its present name to honor the then-current bishop of the local Catholic diocese, John M. D'Arcy.

Lindenwood Cemetery is a rural cemetery operated by Dignity Memorial in Fort Wayne, Indiana, established in 1859. With over 74,000 graves and covering 175 acres (0.71 km2), it is one of the largest cemeteries in Indiana.Famous interments include some of the most important political figures from Fort Wayne history including Samuel Hanna (1797– 1866), Jesse L. Williams (1807–1886), Allen Hamilton (1798–1864), Colonel George W. Ewing (1804–1866), Paul Frank Baer (1893–1930), Daisy E. Nirdlinger (1879–1950) and Arthur "Art" Roy Smith (1890–1926).: 3–4 Isaac De Groff Nelson helped to incorporate Lindenwood Cemetery, where a monument was built to him.Lindenwood was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 17, 1978.

Fort Wayne is a city in and the county seat of Allen County, Indiana, United States. Located in northeastern Indiana, the city is 18 miles (29 km) west of the Ohio border and 50 miles (80 km) south of the Michigan border. The city's population was 263,886 as of the 2020 census, making it the second-most populous city in Indiana after Indianapolis, and the 83rd-most populous city in the United States. It is the principal city of the Fort Wayne metropolitan area, consisting of Allen and Whitley counties which had an estimated population of 423,038 as of 2021. Fort Wayne is the cultural and economic center of northeastern Indiana. In addition to the two core counties, the combined statistical area (CSA) includes Adams, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Steuben, and Wells counties, with an estimated population of 649,105 in 2021.Fort Wayne was built in 1794 by the United States Army under the direction of American Revolutionary War general Anthony Wayne, the last in a series of forts built near the Miami village of Kekionga. Named in Wayne's honor, the European-American settlement developed at the confluence of the St. Joseph, St. Marys, and Maumee rivers, known originally as Fort Miami, a trading post constructed by Jean Baptiste Bissot, Sieur de Vincennes around 1706. The modern city was platted in 1823 following its revitalization after the War of 1812 and its siege. It underwent tremendous growth after completion of the Wabash and Erie Canal and advent of the railroad. Once a booming manufacturing town located in what became known as the Rust Belt, Fort Wayne's economy in the 21st century is based upon distribution, transportation and logistics; healthcare, professional and business services; leisure and hospitality, and financial services. The city is a center for the defense industry which employs 1-2% of the population.Fort Wayne was an All-America City Award recipient in 1983, 1998, 2009, and 2021. WBOI is an FM radio station located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The station operates on the FM radio frequency of 89.1 MHz. It is a National Public Radio member station, owned and operated by Northeast Indiana Public Radio, a non-profit organization. The station has studios and a 604-foot transmitter tower in Fort Wayne's Centennial Park. Effective radiated power is 34,000 watts, covering northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio and extreme southern Michigan.

Wildwood Park Historic District is a national historic district located at Fort Wayne, Indiana. The district encompasses 190 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, and 1 contributing structure in a predominantly residential section of Fort Wayne. The area was developed from about 1914 to 1955, and includes notable examples of Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style residential architecture. The neighborhood was platted and designed by noted landscape architect Arthur Asahel Shurcliff.: 3–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Kekiongas have a splendid ground for playing upon this year. They have six acres enclosed with a high, tight board fence, measuring 1,900 feet lineal, and seats for the convenience of spectators, with canopy overhead. The Kekionga Ball Grounds was a baseball field in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Built in 1870, it was located on the site of the former Camp Allen, a Union Army base during the civil war, north of what is now Camp Allen Park, and named for Kekionga, the former capital of the Miami tribe which was located at the site of modern Fort Wayne. The precise size and orientation of the Kekionga Ball Grounds is lost, but it was in area on the left bank of the St. Marys River now bounded by Mechanics Street, Elm Street, Cherry Street, Camp Allen Drive, and Fair Street.The first National Association game was played at the Kekionga Ball Grounds on May 4, 1871. This was the first professional baseball league game, the first professional league game in any sport in America, and possibly the first game of Major League Baseball (if one credits the National Association as a major league, which some people do and some don't). The Fort Wayne Kekiongas defeated Cleveland by a score of 2–0. Bobby Mathews pitched the shutout for the Kekiongas; the umpire was John Boake.A monument to this first game was placed in 2017.At the time of the 1871 game, a covered grandstand called the "Grand Dutchess" provided spectator accommodations. The Grand Dutchess was open only to women and men accompanying them. (Some sources give "Grand Duchess" as the name of the ballfield itself, but contemporary records contradict this.) The Grand Duchess burned to the ground on November 5, 1871.The Kekiongas folded before the end of the 1871 season, so the Kekionga Ball Grounds only hosted eight other major league games.

Licensed to Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States, the station is owned by Bloomington–based Sarkes Tarzian, Inc. WAJI broadcasts in HD, with its HD2 channel simulcasting sister station WGBJ, and its HD3 channel broadcasting a "Top 20" CHR format.

WLAB (88.3 MHz) is a non-commercial, listener-supported FM radio station in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is owned by the Star Educational Media Network and broadcasts a Contemporary Christian radio format. It holds periodic on-air fundraisers to support the broadcasts. WLAB has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 7,500 watts. In addition to its main transmitter at 88.3, it has FM translators in Kendallville (89.7 MHz), Auburn (99.9 MHz) and Warsaw (90.9 MHz). The station also simulcasts its programming on 91.3 FM WCKZ in Orland, Indiana, which expands the station's coverage area to include Angola and LaGrange, Indiana, and in Michigan, into Coldwater and Sturgis.

The John D. Haynes House is a house in Fort Wayne, Indiana, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The house is a small and modest Usonian design in glass, red tidewater cypress, and Chicago Common Brick on a red concrete slab. The gallery is offset to meet the rear of the great room at its center, rather than typically to one side. A music room and three bedrooms drop off this gallery. The plan thus generated is an outside T, with great room facing southwest and southeast, bedrooms looking southeast to the morning sun. The gabled roofing is asymmetrical. The house was designed inside the original layout of the Wildwood Park development which was designed by the noted American landscape architect, Arthur Asahel Shurcliff. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004, and the Historic Preservation Review Board declared the property a Local Historic District in April 2008, at the request of the out-of-state owner. In 2010, the owner, Richard Herber, asked the Historic Preservation Review Board to rescind the historic designation, a request they rejected, citing his failure to explain his change of mind as a factor in their decision. In 2016, he sued the city council and historic preservation commission in U.S. federal court, but the case was dismissed in March 2017.

Thomas W. Swinney House, also known as The Swinney Homestead, is a historic home located at Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was built in 1844-1845 as a 1+1⁄2-story brick and limestone structure. It was enlarged with a 2+1⁄2-story, square, Late Victorian style brick wing about 1885. It features an Eastlake movement front porch. It was built by Thomas J. Swinney, a pioneer settler of Allen County and prominent Fort Wayne businessman. The house and land for Swinney Park were passed to the city of Fort Wayne in 1922.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. It is located in the Fort Wayne Park and Boulevard System Historic District.
