Scalabrini Ortiz (Buenos Aires Underground)

The Buenos Aires Botanical Garden (official name in Spanish: Jardín Botánico Carlos Thays de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires) is a botanical garden located in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires in Argentina. The garden is triangular in shape, and is bounded by Santa Fe Avenue, Las Heras Avenue and República Árabe Siria Street. The garden, which was declared a national monument in 1996, has a total area of 6.9772 ha (0.026939 sq mi; 17.241 acres), and holds approximately 5,500 species of plants, trees and shrubs, as well as a number of sculptures, monuments and five greenhouses.

Mount Ararat Square (Spanish: Plazoleta Monte Ararat) is a small park situated in the neighbourhood of Palermo, Buenos Aires. Dedicated to the Armenian community in Argentina, the square was placed in 1983, two years after the consecration of the Armenian Cathedral of Our Lady of Narek, lying just across of Mount Ararat square, on Charcas Street. Since its inauguration in March 1998, a monumental fountain sits on its northwestern tip, facing Jerónimo Salguero Street, composed by six triangular, marble-faced, red ochre granite slabs, said on the accompanying bronze plaque to represent Mount Ararat, but in disposition somewhat resembling the Tsitsernakaberd memorial in Yerevan. Some sources claim that this monument is indeed a replica of the Tsitsernakaberd of Yerevan. The Spanish text of the dedication bronze plaque itself proclaims that the monument was made to allegorise Mount Ararat, and some of the sources indicate this as well.The initiative towards the erection of this monument came in 1988 from the Senator for the Federal District Fernando de la Rúa (Unión Cívica Radical), though the draft law expired before being treated in Congress. As Chief of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, in 1998, De la Rúa - who was to become President of Argentina on the next year - proceeded to realise this belated project of his, inaugurating the square's fountain with the presence of Hovhannes Bedros XVIII, the Armenian Catholic Catolicos-Patriarch of Cilicia, and Vartán Waldir Boghossian, the Catholic Bishop for the Eparchy of the Armenians of Saint Gregory of Narek in Buenos Aires, and the attendance of notables and residents of the neighbourhood.

Avenida Scalabrini Ortiz is an avenue that runs through Villa Crespo and Palermo neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and goes from southwest to northeast, parallel Avenida Juan B. Justo. It starts at Avenida Warnes, and ends at Avenida Figueroa Alcorta.

The Our Lady of Narek Cathedral (Spanish: Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Narek ) also called Armenian Cathedral of Our Lady of Narek (Catedral Armenia de Nuestra Señora de Narek) is an Armenian Catholic cathedral church that is located in the Charcas street in the city of Buenos Aires the capital of Argentina. The congregation follows the Armenian rite and is in full communion with the Pope. It is one of the five Catholic cathedrals in Buenos Aires, others following the Roman rite (Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the Military Cathedral), Maronite Rite (Cathedral of St. Maron), Ukrainian rite (Our Lady of Patrocinio Cathedral). It should not be confused with the Armenian Cathedral of St. Gregory the Enlightener (Armenian Apostolic Church). The property on which the present structure was built was purchased in 1942 where a small chapel operated, the work of the new church was developed between 1971 and 1981 when it was officially consecrated. In 1983, the open space right in front of the church was established as Mount Ararat Square; in 1998, a monumental fountain representing Mount Ararat was inaugurated, with the attendance of the Armenian Catholic Bishop Vartán Waldir Boghossian. The temple is the main church of the Armenian Eparchy of San Gregory of Narek in Buenos Aires (Eparchia Sancti Gregorii Narekiani Bonaërensis Armenorum) created in 1989 by the bull "Cum Christifideles ritus Armeni in Republica Argentina" of the then Pope John Paul II to meet the religious needs of the local Armenian Catholic community. The church is under the pastoral responsibility of Bishop Pablo Hakimian.

The Evita Museum (in Spanish: Museo Evita) is located in the neighborhood of Palermo, Buenos Aires, at 2988 Lafinur Street. It is dedicated to the life and legacy of Eva Duarte de Perón and her work through the Eva Perón Foundation. The museum building also hosts the Eva Perón National Institute of Research, which focuses on academic studies and research about her life and impact. The building, known as the Carabassa Building, features Spanish Colonial architecture. It was constructed in 1923 and designed by the architect Estanislao Pirovano, who originally intended it as a residence for the Carabassa family, a family of bankers. After 1941, the building began to serve as the headquarters for various charitable organizations. In 1948, the Eva Perón Foundation acquired the property to use it as a shelter for impoverished families temporarily staying in Buenos Aires, replicating similar facilities established throughout Argentina. The institution was closed in 1955 following the Revolución Libertadora, and since then, the Argentine state has used the building for various purposes. In the 1990s, a movement began to create a museum dedicated to Eva Perón in the building. In 1998, renovation works were initiated as part of an initiative by President Carlos Menem, who also declared the site a Historical Landmark of Argentina. In 1999, he signed the decree establishing the Eva Perón National Institute. On 26 July 2002, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Eva Perón's death, the museum was formally inaugurated.

Bulnes is a station on the Line D of the Buenos Aires Underground at the intersection of Avenida Santa Fe and Bulnes Street. The station was opened on 23 February 1940 as part of the extension of Line D from Tribunales to Palermo.

The Buenos Aires Eco Park (Spanish: Ecoparque de Buenos Aires) is a 45-acre (18 ha) park in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The former zoo, opened in 1888, contained 89 species of mammals, 49 species of reptiles and 175 species of birds, with a total of over 2,500 animals. The institution's goals are to conserve species, produce research and to educate the public. In June 2016 the city formed a bias about the zoo's cruelty. They had to close the 140-year-old zoo and relocate most of the animals to nature reserves, including Temaikèn. The zoo property will be converted into an ecopark.The zoo closed in 2016, reopening as an ecopark in 2018. Its more than 40 historic buildings (that had been declared historical heritage) were refurbished, including the arc at the main entrance, the parrots pavilion, the byzantine ruins, the Confitería del Aguila, and the herons bridge, among others.

The Monumento a Giuseppe Garibaldi is an equestrian sculpture featuring Giuseppe Garibaldi, located on Plaza Italia, a landmark in the Palermo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807–1882) was an Italian military and political figure. In his twenties, he joined the Carbonari Italian patriot revolutionaries, and had to flee Italy after a failed insurrection. He then led the Italian Legion in the Uruguayan Civil War, and afterwards returned to Italy as a commander in the conflicts of the Risorgimento. He has been dubbed the "Hero of the Two Worlds" in tribute to his military expeditions in both South America and Europe.Donated to the city by Italian residents, it was built by Italian sculptor Eugenio Maccagnani as a replica of the one located in Brescia, Italy, and was inaugurated on June 19, 1904.

Plaza Italia is a small park in the city of Buenos Aires in the barrio of Palermo on the confluence of Santa Fe Avenue and Avenida Sarmiento. Next to the plaza are the main entrances to the Zoo and the Botanical Gardens, and the la Rural Expo Center. The area is very busy with traffic, as it is a public transportation hub for the city. In the center of the park there is an equestrian statue to Giuseppe Garibaldi, which opened on 19 June 1904 in a ceremony attended by Presidents Julio Argentino Roca and Bartolomé Mitre.Under the park there is a metro station of the same name in the "D" line of the system. On the corner of the Plaza and the Exposition Center there is a Roman column, original from the Roman Forum, donated by the city of Rome. More than 2,000 years old, it is one of the oldest monument in the city.

Plaza Italia station is part of the line D of the Buenos Aires Underground. It is located at the intersection of Avenida Santa Fe and the roundabout surrounding Plaza Italia in Palermo. The station was opened on 23 February 1940 as part of the extension of Line D from Tribunales to Palermo.A short distance from the station are located the La Sociedad Rural Argentina (in English: The Argentine Rural Society), Buenos Aires Zoo and the Botanical Garden of Buenos Aires. In 1997 the station was declared a national historic monument.

Coronel Díaz Avenue is an avenue that marks the limit between the Palermo and Recoleta neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and extends northbound, parallel Pueyrredón Avenue. It starts on Soler Street and ends on Castex Street, passing along Las Heras Park and the nearby Alto Palermo Shopping Center. The avenue was so named in 1894 in honor of Col. Pedro José Díaz (1801 — 1857), who played an important role in the Army of the Andes during the Argentine War of Independence of the 1810s, in the Cisplatine War of the 1820s, and on behalf of Governor Juan Manuel de Rosas, for whom he led the Infantry during the Battle of Caseros of 1852.

Alto Palermo is a shopping center located in the Palermo neighborhood of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Opened in 1990, it was one of the first shopping malls in the country after Spinetto and Unicenter shoppings (both opened in 1988).Built with Argentine and Chilean capital, it belongs to "APSA Centros Comerciales", a subsidiary of holding company IRSA, with minority participation of the Chilean group Parque Arauco S.A., which already operated establishments of this type since 1982 in that country. The shopping was designed by the Juan Carlos López y Asociados Studio, which had a long experience in commercial architecture. The shopping center has 190 stores, a food court for 730 seated people and 670 covered parking spaces. The center also has free Wi-Fi in all its facilities.
