Hunderfossen

Hunderfossen Station is a railway station located at the village of Hunderfossen in Lillehammer, Norway. The station is located on the Dovre Line and served express trains to Oslo and Trondheim. The station was opened in 1986 and serves the areas of Øyer, the Hafjell skiing resort and Hunderfossen Family Park. During the 1994 Winter Olympics it served Hafjell and the Lillehammer Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track.

Hunderfossen Familiepark is an amusement park north of Lillehammer in the province of Oppland in Norway. The park is one of Norway's biggest tourist attractions, with over 275,000 visitors each summer. It also has a Winter Park which opens from February to mid-March. The park was founded in 1984, and currently has more than 60 attractions.Many of the rides and attractions are themed after or inspired by Norwegian folktales by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe.The park was featured in an episode of the Netflix original series Lilyhammer (Season 1, Episode 8: "Trolls"). In the movie Troll the Norwegian army tries to destroy the troll which ravages Norway above the Park without success.

Lillehammer Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track (Norwegian: Lillehammer Olympiske Bob- og Akebane) is a bobsleigh, luge and skeleton track located at Hunderfossen in Lillehammer, Norway, 15 kilometers (9 mi) north of the town center of Lillehammer. It was completed in 1992 for the 1994 Winter Olympics, where it hosted the bobsleigh events and luge events. It has since also hosted the FIBT World Championships 1995 in skeleton and the FIL World Luge Championships 1995, and hosted 2016 Winter Youth Olympics. Original plans called for the track to be located at Fåberg. Later it was proposed moved to Kanthaugen in the town center and then Holmenkollen in Oslo, before Hunderfossen was decided upon. The track is 1,710 meters (5,610 ft), giving a competition length of 1,365 meters (4,478 ft) for bobsleigh and men's singles luge, and 1,185 meters (3,888 ft) for other luge competitions. The bobsleigh course has a vertical drop of 114 meters (374 ft), giving an 8.5 percent average grade. The track has been part of the proposed Oslo 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics bids.

Hafjell is a village and a ski resort in Norway, in the Øyer municipality in the county of Oppland.Hafjell hosted the alpine skiing technical events (giant slalom and slalom) at the 1994 Winter Olympics; the speed events were held at Kvitfjell, a regular stop on the World Cup tour for men's speed events in March. Hafjell occasionally hosts World Cup slalom and giant slalom races, last in 2006 (women) and 1996 (men's and women's finals).

Granrudmoen is the largest village in Øyer Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located in the Gudbrandsdal valley, along the Gudbrandsdalslågen river in the southern part of the municipality. It is the commercial centre of the municipality. It is located along the European route E6 highway, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) north of the town of Lillehammer. The municipal centre of Tingberg is located about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) to the north.The 1.61-square-kilometre (400-acre) village has a population (2021) of 1,678 and a population density of 1,044 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,700/sq mi).Granrudmoen is located close to the 1994 Winter Olympic venues of Hafjell and Hunderfossen. The local multi-sports team is Øyer-Tretten IF.

Rock petroglyphs are found at Drotten, Fåberg, in Lillehammer municipality in the county of Oppland, Norway. The petroglyphs are located west of the river Lågen about 1.5 km above the Brunlaug bridge (they are difficult to reach when the river is flooded). There are a total of 11 petroglyphs within a 4 m² area on a cliff by the river. Seven of these petroglyphs could be moose. The rest are more ambiguous, but are also likely to be moose. The carvings are narrow and shallow, with the largest being 45 cm across.

Fåberg Station (Norwegian: Fåberg stasjon) is a former railway station on the Dovre Line, located at Fåberg in Lillehammer, Norway. Until 1924, it was called Faaberg.

Fåberg is a village in Lillehammer Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located in the Gudbrandsdalen valley, along the shore of the Gudbrandsdalslågen river. The town of Lillehammer lies about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) to the southeast of Fåberg and the village of Jorstadmoen lies about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the southwest of Fåberg. The European route E6 highway and the Dovrebanen railway line both run through the village. The historic Fåberg Church lies a short distance west of the village, on the other side of the river. The 0.52-square-kilometre (130-acre) village has a population (2021) of 696 and a population density of 1,347 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,490/sq mi).From 1838 to 1964, the village of Fåberg was the administrative centre of the old Fåberg Municipality. In 1964, it was merged into Lillehammer Municipality.

Fåberg is a former municipality in the old Oppland county, Norway. The 478-square-kilometre (185 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until 1964. Now, it is part of Lillehammer Municipality in Innlandet county. The administrative centre was the village of Fåberg.

Balbergbakken or Balbergbakkene was a ski jumping hill complex located at Fåberg in Lillehammer, Norway. The centerpiece consisted of a large hill with a construction point of 120 meters (390 ft) (K-120), in addition to three smaller K-40, K-25 and K-15 hills. The venue was opened in 1972, having cost slightly more than one million Norwegian krone (NOK) after significant cost overruns. Balbergbakken hosted three Norwegian Championships, in 1973, 1978 and 1983, and a FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in 1984. The hill record of 130.5 meters was set by Tom Levorstad in 1981. It was planned that the venue would be used for the 1994 Winter Olympics, but because of lack of infrastructure, the new Lysgårdsbakken was built instead. Balbergbakken was closed in 1992.

Lillehammer University College (Norwegian: Høgskolen i Lillehammer) was a state university college located at Storhove in Lillehammer, Norway. It was merged with Hedmark University College to become the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences in 2017.

Storhove is a neighborhood of Lillehammer, Norway, located 5 kilometers (3 mi) north of the city center. It is the location of a Inland Norway University site, and the Lillehammer offices of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. During the 1994 Winter Olympics, it also hosted the International Broadcasting Center and the Main Press Center.
