Cheddleton Flint Mill is a water mill situated in the village of Cheddleton in the English county of Staffordshire. The mill race takes water from the river Churnet. The site is believed to have been used for milling since the Middle Ages. However, the present structures mainly date from the period of the Industrial Revolution, although there is evidence of some earlier work surviving. There are actually two mills: one is a late 18th century structure which was purpose-built to grind flint for use in the pottery industry, and the other was converted to the same purpose from use as a corn-mill. The mill complex includes a miller's cottage, two flint kilns, a drying kiln and outbuildings, and is adjacent to the Caldon Canal.

Deep Hayes Country Park is a country park in Staffordshire, England. It is about 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of Leek, a short distance south of the A53 road at Longsdon. Its area is 60 acres (24 ha). Its northern boundary is the Caldon Canal, and is based around three pools (Cumberledge Pool, Park Pool and Hayes Pool), formerly a reservoir. There is a visitor centre, with free parking and toilets. Marked pathways, of varying lengths, lead around the area of the former reservoir. There is a picnic area.The pools have shoreline rushes and other flora; waterfowl can be seen. Roach, tench and carp have been introduced, and there are invertebrates including dragonflies and damselflies. There is woodland around the pools, and meadows, which have a diversity of flowering plants, including uncommon species. There is a bird hide.

The Churnet Valley Railway is a preserved standard gauge heritage railway in the Staffordshire Moorlands of Staffordshire, England. It operates on part of the former Churnet Valley Line.which was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway. The railway is roughly 10.5 miles (16.9 km) long from Kingsley and Froghall to Ipstones. The land from Leek Brook Junction to Ipstones was opened by Moorland & City Railways (MCR) in 2010 after they took a lease out from Network Rail. This has subsequently been purchased by the Churmet Valley Railway. The main stations along the line are Kingsley and Froghall, Consall, Cheddleton and Leek Brook (which is only used as a run around loop). Work has begun to extend the line to the town of Leek which will act as the northern terminus of the line. The line between Leek and Waterhouses has also been reopened as part of the heritage railway far as Ipstones.

Leek railway station served the town of Leek, Staffordshire. It was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway in 1849. Passenger services to Uttoxeter were withdrawn in 1965, with complete closure following in 1970. For a short time in 1961–62, special football excursions (the Stanley Matthews Express) were arranged to Stoke following the return of Stanley Matthews to Stoke City FC.
