Eccleston, St Helens

Eccleston Hall is a Grade II listed hall located in Eccleston, St Helens, Merseyside, England. Originally constructed in the 16th century, the current building dates from 1830. It has been used as a place of worship, of residence and a health sanatorium before being sold to private development in 1997.

De La Salle School, Eccleston, St Helens is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive Roman Catholic high school which is linked to the worldwide La Sallian community. The school in its current form was created in 1987 after the amalgamation of several Roman Catholic high schools in the area (West Park, Notre Dame, St. Edmund Campion and Mount Carmel). Its trustees are the De La Salle Brothers, who have a house nearby. There are 1200 pupils, and about 140 staff.

Knowsley Road in Eccleston, St Helens, Merseyside, was the home ground of St. Helens from 1890 until its closure in 2010. St Helens Town FC played their home fixtures at Knowsley Road from 2002 until 2010. For a period, the venue also hosted Liverpool F.C. Reserves. The stadium was demolished during spring 2011 and a new construction then known as Cunningham Grange, named after club legend Keiron Cunningham, was built on the site.

Carmel College is a Roman Catholic mixed sixth form college located in St Helens, Merseyside, England and welcomes students of all faiths.

Windle is a suburb of St Helens, civil parish and ward of the metropolitan borough of the same name. The population of Windle was given as 10,690 at the 2011 Census. It was one of the original four townships alongside Eccleston, Parr and Sutton formed that merged to become St Helens. The name derives from Windy Hill.

Thatto Heath railway station is located in the Thatto Heath area of St Helens, Merseyside, England. It is situated on the electrified Merseytravel Liverpool to Wigan City Line, 9+3⁄4 miles (15.7 km) northeast of Liverpool. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by Northern Trains, however the station is branded Merseytravel using Merseytravel ticketing. The station opened with the line in 1871.
