Lorentzweiler railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Luerenzweiler, French: Gare de Lorentzweiler, German: Bahnhof Lorentzweiler) is a railway station serving Lorentzweiler, in central Luxembourg. It is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station is situated on Line 10, which connects Luxembourg City to the centre and north of the country.

Lintgen (Luxembourgish: Lëntgen) is a commune and small town in central Luxembourg, in the canton of Mersch. It is situated on the river Alzette. As of 2005, the town of Lintgen, which lies in the west of the commune, has a population of 1,686. The number of inhabitants keeps on increasing, therefore ten years later, in 2015 there are approximately 2,798 people living in Lintgen. Another town within the commune is Gosseldange.

Heisdorf Castle (Luxembourgish: Schlass Heeschdref; French: Château de Heisdorf; German: Schloss Heisdorf) located in the village of Heisdorf in central Luxembourg was built by Baron Lippmann in the late 19th century. Surrounded by a large park, it was designed by the Belgian architect Charles Thirion. In 1916, the Sisters of the Christian Doctrine acquired the property as a convalescent home for their community. In 1982, it was opened as an old people's home under the name of Maison de retraite Marie-Consolatrice. In 2007, a new wing was added to the building by the architecture firm Hermann, Valentiny and Partners providing improved facilities for its senior citizens.

Heisdorf (Luxembourgish: Heeschdrëf) is a town in the commune of Steinsel, in central Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 1,553.

The Raschpëtzer Qanat is located NE of Helmsange in the commune of Walferdange, 10 km north of the City of Luxembourg. A qanat is an underground water management system consisting of vertical shafts connecting to a sloping tunnel designed to provide a supply of fresh water. The Raschpëtzer is a particularly well preserved example of a qanat and is probably the most extensive system of its kind north of the Alps. It has been under systematic excavation for the past 40 years. To date some 330 m of the total tunnel length of 600 m have been explored. Thirteen of the 20 to 25 shafts have been discovered.The qanat appears to have provided water for a large Roman villa on the slopes of the Alzette valley. It was built during the Gallo-Roman period, probably around the year 150 and functioned for about 120 years thereafter.

The Gousselerbierg Tunnel is a pair of parallel road tunnels in the canton of Mersch, in central Luxembourg. The tunnels are named for the hill through which they pass, near the town of Gosseldange, in the commune of Lintgen. At 2,695 metres (8,842 ft), the Gousselerbierg Tunnel is the second-longest tunnel in the country, after the Grouft Tunnel, at 2,950 metres (9,678 ft).The tunnel carries the A7 motorway, and is the first of three major tunnels on the route of the road, together with the Grouft Tunnel and the Stafelter Tunnel (1,850 m). Each of the twin tunnels contains two lanes of traffic in one direction. At its maximum, the tunnel lies 115 metres (377 ft) below the surface of the hill.The tunnel was constructed using the New Austrian Tunnelling method, relying on the stress of the surrounding rock to stabilise the tunnel. Preparatory work on the tunnel began on 17 April 2000, and drilling work began on 21 November of the same year. The breakthrough ceremony was held on 12 December 2002, with Grand Duke Henri detonating the explosive charge that connected the two ends of the tunnels. Altogether, the tunnel cost €100m to construct, and 420,000 m³ (14.8m cu ft) of earth were excavated, 65% of which was removed by explosives.
