Żerań Power Station

The General Stefan "Grot" Rowecki Bridge (sometimes called the Toruń Bridge, the Grot-Roweckiego Bridge or the Grot Bridge) is a bridge over the Vistula River in Warsaw. It was built from 1977 to 1981 as part of the Trasa Toruńska major thoroughfare by Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Kolejowych No. 15 (the abutments and supports) and Mostostal (the supporting structure and installation). Currently, it is also part of the planned S8 bypass of Warsaw.

Żerań is a northern suburb of Warsaw, Poland, situated in the Białołęka district. It is noted for the Żerań Power Station. The area borders with the Vistula River, the Praga-Północ district and the Tarchomin, Różopol, Konstantynów and Annopol housing estates.

As of 2012, it is used by Koleje Mazowieckie, who run the KM9 services from Warszawa Wola or Warszawa Zachodnia through the north of the Masovian Voivodeship to Działdowo, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship via Legionowo, Nasielsk, Modlin, Ciechanów and Mława, at all of which some trains terminate, and by Szybka Kolej Miejska, who run S9 services to Wieliszew, with some trains terminating at Legionowo or Legionowo Piaski.

Muzeum Sportu i Turystyki w Warszawie (Polish: Muzeum Sportu i Turystyki, MSiT) is a museum in Warsaw, Poland. It was established in 1952 and is one of the oldest of its type in Europe. The museum holds a permanent exhibition entitled “The history of Polish Sport and Olympic Movement” which covers the history of sport from Ancient Greece until the modern era. Visitors can see sports gear, medals, trophies, antiques and other historic objects.Accumulated collections contain over 46 thousand exhibits, sport trophies, like medals, cups and diplomas, as well as outfits and equipment. The museum also contains a big variety of books, pictures, newspapers, postcards as well as audio and video materials.

The Stefan Żeromski Park is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland, within the district of Żoliborz, at the intersection of Krasińskiego and Mickiewicza Streets. It was opened in 1932.

Alina, a Girl with a Jug, also simply known as Alina, and as Girl with a Jug, is a statue located in the Stefan Żeromski Park in Warsaw, Poland. It was made by Henryk Kuna, and unvailed in 1936. The sculpture depicts a woman holding a jug, and is placed on top of a fountain. It is commonly regarded as a symbol of the city district of Żoliborz.

Plac Wilsona ("Wilson Square") is the chief square of northern Warsaw's Żoliborz district. It is also one of the Polish capital's main transport hubs, with several bus and streetcars stops (opened to the public June 1, 1934). Wilson Square was established in the late 1920s as the main center of the newly formed district, and one of the star-shaped squares that sprang up all over Warsaw. Named for U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, after World War II (1953) it was renamed Plac Komuny Paryskiej (Paris Commune Square). In 1990 the original name was restored. Beneath the square is a Warsaw Metro station (the Wilson Square metro station).

Marymont (from French Mont de Marie - Mary's Hill) is one of the northern neighbourhoods of Warsaw, Poland, administratively a part of the boroughs of Żoliborz (Marymont-Potok) and Bielany (Marymont-Kaskada and Marymont-Ruda). Named after the queen of Poland Maria Kazimiera, wife of King John III Sobieski, it initially housed a small summer manor. In the 18th century, it became notable for the large number of windmills located there on the high escarpment of the Vistula. In the 19th century, the area became one of the favourite weekend resting places, joined with the city centre by boat communication and a horse tram. In the 1920s, parts of the neighbourhood were built-up with residential areas. The Marymont Warsaw Metro station opened here in December 2006.

Plac Wilsona (English: Wilson Square) is a station on Line M1 of the Warsaw Metro. It is located below Wilson Square in the Żoliborz district in northern Warsaw.The station was opened on 20 December 2003 as the northern terminus of the extension from Dworzec Gdański. On 29 December 2006 the line was extended further north to Marymont as shuttle service, and on 20 March 2008 as normal service.On 7 April 2008 during the Metrorail convention it won a Metro award for the best recently constructed station. It was designed by Polish architect Andrzej M. Chołdzyński.

Annopol is a neighborhood of Białołęka district in Warsaw, Poland. For the residents of Warsaw, Annopol is known for being a tram terminus, with several Warsaw tram lines stopping here, and it is also an industrial centre.

Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church is a parish church in Warsaw, Poland, located at Hozjusz Street 2 near Plac Wilsona. It is the most significant church in the Żoliborz district. It is dedicated to St. Stanislaus Kostka, a 16th-century Jesuit. The parish was created in 1927 in the area on the northern outskirts of city, which was the site of significant development during the interbellum period. Construction on the monumental Neo-Romanesque church building began in 1930, but was interrupted by World War II, and not completed until 1963. The church is the well-known Sanctuary of Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko, who was the spiritual leader of Solidarność and was killed by the Communists in 1984. From 1980 he conducted very popular Masses for the Fatherland that became a kind of manifesto for the social movement and protesters, attracting people from all around Poland. This is also the place of his burial, and his grave is situated beside the church. The site was visited by Pope John Paul II in 1987. An estimated 20,000,000 people from over 100 countries have visited.
