Gausel Station (Norwegian: Gausel holdeplass) is a railway station in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located at Gausel in the city of Stavanger. Located 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) from Stavanger Station, it is served by the Jæren Commuter Rail operated by Go-Ahead Norge by up to four hourly trains in each direction. The station is located along the double track section of the Sørlandet Line. The original station at Gausel was opened in 1902, and the station building was completed in 1908. This station was closed in 1966. The new station was opened on 16 November 2009 as part of the new double track from Stavanger to Sandnes. It is co-located with a Kolumbus bus stop, allowing transfer to several routes.

Forus Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Forus Videregående Skole) was an upper secondary school in Sandnes, Norway. It offered vocational studies, focused mainly on fine arts, and media and communication (photography, graphic design, video, computers etc.). It was the only upper secondary school in Norway to only offer artistic, visual and creative studies. About 330 students attended the school. In 2010 the school merged with parts of Lundehaugen Upper Secondary School and formed a new school called Vågen. In addition to existing studies, the music, dance and drama studies from Lundehaugen Upper Secondary School was moved to this new school. The new school is located in the town's cultural center, close to the cinema, museum, library and the town hall.

Hana Church (Norwegian: Hana kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the large Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Hana in the city of Sandnes in the far western part of the municipality. It sits along the eastern shore of the Gandsfjorden, just north of the city centre. It is the church for the Hana parish which is part of the Sandnes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white and gray, concrete church was built in a octagonal design in 1997 using designs by the architect Kolbjørn Jensen from the architectural firm Signatur Arkitekter. The church seats about 415 people.

Lura is a borough of the city of Sandnes in the west part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. The 8-square-kilometre (3.1 sq mi) borough lies in the northwestern part of the city, just north of the city centre of Sandnes and just south of the city of Stavanger. The borough has a population (2016) of 8,605. Lura Church is the main church for the borough. Lura school is one of the primary schools there, with grades from 1–7.

Hetland is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1965 when it was dissolved. The municipality included the Stavanger Peninsula and the land surrounding both sides of the Gandsfjorden, but not the area around the head of the fjord. It originally encompassed the land surrounding the city of Stavanger in the present-day municipalities of Randaberg and Stavanger (except the city of Stavanger) and part of the municipality of Sandnes. The main church for Hetland was Hetland Church (now named "Frue Church"). Upon its dissolution in 1965, the 92-square-kilometre (36 sq mi) municipality had 24,173 residents.

Radio Narvik was a local radio station which covered the whole of Ofoten, including Narvik, Ankenes, Ballangen and Bjerkvik. The frequency was FM 103,5 and 150,5 in all areas. It was also possible to listen via internet radio. In 2005 Radio Narvik was bought by the newspaper Fremover, becoming part of Jærradiogruppen AS. In December 2008, the radio station was closed down due to lack of income.

Forus is an industrial district in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Hinna, along the Gandsfjorden and it stretches south and west to the municipalities of Sandnes and Sola. The name Forus originates from an old farm located in this area, part of which is currently used for harness racing.The drainage of the former 4-square-kilometre (1.5 sq mi) lake Stokkavatnet and the surrounding marsh area, from 1906 and onwards, added 4.5 square kilometres (1.7 sq mi) of new land for the nearby farms. In 1940, at the start of World War II, the German occupants initiated construction of Stavanger Airport on this site. The area was later developed mainly for industrial purposes. The Equinor headquarters are located at Forus.

The British International School of Stavanger is an international school in Stavanger, Norway. It was founded in 1977. The school currently caters to approximately 500 pupils from over 50 different nationalities, from 18 months of age up to the age of 19. The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme, the IB Middle Years Programme, the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Careers Programme.

Lura Church (Norwegian: Lura kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the large Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Lura in the northern part of the city of Sandnes in the extreme western part of the municipality. It is the church for the Lura parish which is part of the Sandnes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red, brick church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1987 using plans drawn up by the architects Ingeborg and Knut Hoem. The church seats about 320 people.

Forus Travbane is a harness racing track located at Forus in Stavanger, Norway. The course is 950 meters (3,120 ft). Owned by Norwegian Trotting Association, its tote betting is handled by Norsk Rikstoto. The venue opened in 1920.

Jåttå Station (Norwegian: Jåttå holdeplass) was a railway station located at Jåttå in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The station was served by the Jæren Commuter Rail between Stavanger and Egersund. The station was located 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) south of the centre of the city of Stavanger and was used as an extra stop for trains when there were football games at Viking Stadion.

Hana is a borough of the city of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. The 36.1-square-kilometre (13.9 sq mi) borough is located just east of the city centre of Sandnes on the east side of the Gandsfjorden. It has a population (in 2016) of 8,196.Hanafjellet mountain is located in the northeastern part of the borough. Hana has a tourist attraction of a cave that was used by army during World War II. The local sports team is Hana IL. Hana Church is located in the borough also. The village of Vatne is in Hana as is the Vatneleiren military base.
