Lake Misurina (Italian: Lago di Misurina; Cadorino dialect: Lago de Meśorìna) is the largest natural lake of the Cadore and it is 1,754 m above sea level, near Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno). The lake's perimeter is 2.6 km long, while the maximum depth is 5 m. Near the lake there are about ten hotels with accommodation for around 500 people. The particular climatic characteristics of the area around the lake make particularly good air for those who have respiratory diseases. Near the lake is the only center in Italy for the care of childhood asthma. The lake was the theme of a famous song by Claudio Baglioni. Lake Misurina is also the theme of the theatrical representation of the Longane di Lozzo. Lake Misurina is where the speed skating events were held during the 1956 Winter Olympics of Cortina d'Ampezzo – the last time Olympic speed skating events were held on natural ice. Misurina lies on the route of the Dolomites Gold Cup Race.

Cadini di Misurina (Ciadìs de Meśorìna in Ladin) is a group of mountains in the eastern Dolomites in the Province of Belluno, Italy. These mountains rise to the west of Auronzo di Cadore, north-east of Cortina d'Ampezzo and south of Dobbiaco, in a position overlooking Lake Misurina. They are part of the Dolomites subsection of Sesto, of Braies, and Ampezzo, and belong to the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore. The highest peak is the Cima Cadin of San Lucano (2.839 m a.s.l.). The term Cadini derives from the Cadorino dialect ''ciadìn'' which translates into valleys and refers to the labyrinthian structure of the massif.

Mount Faloria is a mountain in the Alps of northern Italy, located in the Dolomites near Cortina d'Ampezzo. It has an altitude of 2,352 metres (7,717 ft) and lies in close proximity to Sorapiss. It hosted the men's giant slalom event of the 1956 Winter Olympics, won by Toni Sailer of Austria, the first of three wins in his gold medal sweep. There is a mountain refuge at the summit, Rifugio Faloria.

Cristallo (Italian pronunciation: [kriˈstallo]) (German: Kristallspitze) is a mountain massif in the Italian Dolomites, northeast of Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the province of Belluno, Veneto, northern Italy. It is a long, indented ridge with four summits higher than 3,000 metres. The mountain range is part of the Ampezzo Dolomites Natural Park.In the north of the Cristallo group is the 1,530 m high mountain pass "Cimabanche" (in German: "Im Gemärk" also "Gemärk Pass", in Ladin: "Sorabances"), in the south the mountain pass Tre Croci (1,809 m, in Ladin: "Son Zuógo").

Lago di Sorapiss (Italian: Lago di Sorapiss; German: Sorapissee) is a lake in the mountain range Sorapiss in the Dolomites, province of Belluno, c. 12 km away from Cortina d'Ampezzo. The lake has an altitude of 1,925 metres (6,316 ft.) above sea level. The strong turquoise color is dust from the glacier. The lake can only be reached by foot or by helicopter. The hiking trail has a length of 10.5 km and takes 1.5 hours one way starting from Passo tre Croci. Also the hikes Alta Via 3 and Alta Via 4 lead around Lake Sorapis.

Sorapiss, also referred to as Sorapis or Punta Sorapiss, is a mountain in the Dolomites within the Veneto region of northern Italy. Situated in the comune of Cortina d'Ampezzo, it has an elevation of 3,205 metres (10,515 ft). In its vicinity is a mountain pass of the same name, as well as Sorapiss Lake (Lago di Sorapiss), at the foot of the mountain. The mountain range is part of the Ampezzo Dolomites Natural Park.

Pomagagnon is a mountain of the Dolomites in Belluno, northern Italy. It has an elevation of 2,450 metres (8,038 ft) and is the southernmost mountain of the Cristallo Group, towering 1,200 metres (3,937 ft) over the resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The mountain is part of the Ampezzo Dolomites Natural Park.

Cappella della Beata Vergine di Lourdes (Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes; also known as Chiesetta di Grava) is a Roman Catholic chapel located in Cortina d'Ampezzo's Grava di Sotto neighborhood. Built in 1907, it contains elements by the artist Corrado Pitscheider of the Val Gardena. Its feast day is celebrated on 11 February. The interior features a spacious nave, an altar, and the Lourdes grotto. The space is lit by large windows. There are statues of the Virgin and Santa Bernadette, as well as St. Lucia and St. Michael the Archangel. A framed canvas of St. Joseph with the Child hangs in the presbytery.

Cima Bastioni is a mountain in the province of Belluno in northern Italy.

The Dolomites Railway (German: Dolomitenbahn, Italian: Ferrovia delle Dolomiti), originally the Ampezzaner Bahn or Ampezzaner Railway, was a railway in Northern Italy crossing the Dolomites mountains. The 64.9-kilometre (40.3-mile) long railway began in Calalzo and ended in Toblach. Its gauge was 950 mm — "Italian metre gauge". The Cortina d'Ampezzo - Toblach part was closed in 1962 and the Cortina d'Ampezzo - Calalzo di Cadore in 1964. Two EMUs went to the Trento - Malè railway and are still in use. Other vehicles went to the Ferrovie Appulo Lucane.

Hohe Gaisl (Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo in Italian), (3,146m) is a mountain in the northern Dolomites, on the border of South Tyrol and Veneto, in northern Italy, located between the Braies Valley and the Val di Landro. It lies as an imposing and prominent mountain, dominating the valleys underneath it. Its summit has a pyramid shape, and the mountain's slopes glow a deep red colour, a feature it has in common with many Dolomite peaks. The mountain is rarely climbed as it is particularly prone to rockfall. It is more appreciated for its beauty.

Mario Rimoldi Modern Art Museum (Museo d'Arte Moderna "Mario Rimoldi") is a contemporary and modern art museum in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. It is one of three museums administered by Le Regole d'Ampezzo, the other two being the Rinaldo Zardini Palaeontology Museum and the Regole of Ampezzo Ethnographic Museum. It opened in 1974 after a donation from Rosa Braun, the widow of Mario Rimoldi. Rimoldi's collection was displayed in 1941, it moved to the Regole d'Ampezzo in 1963, and by 1995, the collection contained 364 works of art. The collection is said to contain some of the most influential Italian art produced between World War I and World War II, and provides a perspective of the modern art movement in Veneto, Italy pre-1940.The museum's permanent exhibition includes works by Filippo De Pisis, Felice Carena, Pio Semeghini, Renato Guttuso, Tullio Garbari, and Massimo Campigli. The museum is also used as a venue for live music performances.
