Beehive Works

Taylor's Eye Witness Works is an industrial building on Milton Street in the Devonshire Quarter area of Sheffield city centre, South Yorkshire, England. The works are a Grade II listed building which since their foundation in 1852 have always specialised in producing kitchen and pocket knives along with various associated products. The building is believed to be the only traditional works in Sheffield which still manufactures its original products. It stands next to the Beehive Works another listed cutlery works on Milton Street.

The Moore Street electricity substation is an electrical substation in Sheffield, England, designed by Jefferson Sheard in 1968. The substation is an example of Brutalist architecture. Owen Hatherley describes it as "a shocking paroxysm of a building, an explosion in reinforced concrete, a bunker built with an aesthete's attention to detail, a building which is genuinely Brutalist in both senses of the term."The building was illuminated in October 2010. Paul Scriven, then the leader of Sheffield City Council, commented "The newly lit building will be a shining beacon for the city and an iconic landmark on the inner relief road" and described the substation as "an iconic building which has been important in keeping the lights on in Sheffield since the 1960s."The building was granted Grade II listed status by English Heritage in September 2013, with the building being described as a "massive and uncompromising bunker which by its plainness and fully-displayed structure expresses a highly appropriate impression of enormous energy confined and controlled within."

Heart of the City II is a mixed-use development under construction in Sheffield city centre, England between the Devonshire Quarter and The Moor Gateway. The project was previously given the marketing name Sevenstone, prior to Hammerson, the developer, being dropped from the project in July 2013 with Sheffield City Council seeking new developers. The first phase, consisting of restaurants, shops and offices opened in 2020. The second phase is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by 2023.

The ward was created following the 2015 local government boundary review out of part of the old Central ward, which, with a population of 36,412, was the largest ward in the UK. Velocity Tower is a mixed use development next to the Inner Ring Road in Sheffield City Centre, South Yorkshire, England, overlooking Ecclesall Road. The build is a continuation of a previous design to be built by Cala, titled 'Eclipse'.

Corporation, often referred to as Corp by locals, is an independent live music venue and nightclub located in the city centre of Sheffield, England. In addition to hosting live music from touring bands, Corporation hosts club nights which play a variety of alternative, pop and rock music.

Ecclesall Road is a road in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, that runs for about 3.6 miles (5.8 km) south-west from Sheffield's city centre under the number A625. At Banner Cross, where the house numbers reach 1001, the road name changes to Ecclesall Road South and numbering restarts. Ecclesall Road, as a named road, finishes at Whirlow, although the course of the road continues as Hathersage Road.

Devonshire Green is a small public open space at 53.3789°N 1.4783°W / 53.3789; -1.4783 within Sheffield city centre in South Yorkshire, England. It covers an area of approximately 9000 square metres and is designated as a district park by Sheffield City Council. It stands in the Devonshire Quarter of the city centre, bordered on its four sides by Devonshire Street, Fitzwilliam Street, Eldon Street and Wellington Street. It is the only large green space in the city centre.

West One is also the name of a retail park in Salford. West One is a mixed-use development at the centre of the Devonshire Quarter in the city centre of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It comprises bars, restaurants and shops at ground-level (including the large Revolution bar) and apartments housing over 1,000 people above, including a penthouse. It faces onto Devonshire Green, (restored in 2007) and provides easy access to the Moor and Division Street. The West One Peak lift has been out of commission since October 2022.

The Devonshire Quarter is an area in the centre of Sheffield, England. Its heart is the Division Street and Devonshire Street shopping areas, known for their small independent shops and variety of pubs and bars. The district also has The Forum shopping centre and Devonshire Green, one of the largest open areas in central Sheffield. To the west, the quarter is bounded by Sheffield's inner ring road and includes a small social housing estate. Glossop Road and West Street are to the north, Carver Street to the east, and Moore Street and Charter Row to the south-east.

Division Street is a street and shopping area located in the Devonshire Quarter of Sheffield, England. It is home to many small independent shops, a few large ones such as Costa Coffee and Sainsburys Local, and a few local pubs such as the Frog & Parrot, as well as a Lloyd's No. 1 bar. It runs parallel to West Street in the west of the city. The post-box at the end of Division Street near the City Hall was painted gold in August 2012, to celebrate the Olympic gold medal won by Sheffield's Jessica Ennis.

St Silas Church is a former church built in 1867 in Broomhall, Sheffield, England. It was under the administration of the Diocese of Sheffield from its creation in 1914 until the closure of the church in 2000.
