Anti-sabotage Joint Committee, or Komiteh Moshtarak, was built in the 1930s. It was used by Pahlavi regime, specially its secret police known as SAVAK against political opponents. It reportedly was shut down by the Islamic Republic in August 2000. Currently it is Ebrat Museum of Iran ("Edification Museum") of Tehran, putting abuses under Mohammad Reza Pahlavi under display.

The National Garden (Persian: باغ ملی, Bāq-e Melli) or Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gate is a historical and governmental compound in Tehran, Iran. Formerly referred to as the Parade Square (Persian: میدان مشق, Meydān-e Mashq) (میدان رژه, Meydān-e Rezhe), it used to be a military shooting range during the Qajar period. It was then turned into a public park for a short period, and eventually important governmental offices and museums were built around it.Building number 9 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (formerly the "Police House"), the University of Art (formerly the "Cossack House"), Malek National Museum, Post and Communication Museum, and the National Museum are situated in the compound.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Persian: وزارت امور خارجه, romanized: Vezārat-e Omūr-e Khārejeh) is an Iranian government ministry headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is a member of cabinet. The current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who was approved by the Parliament on 25 August 2021 after being nominated by the President. Foreign policy decisions are made in the Supreme National Security Council and according to Ali Khamenei's high courts.

The Imam Khomeini metro station is the junction of Tehran Metro Line 1 and Line 2. The station was opened on 21 February 2000, it is located in Imam Khomeini Square between Panzdah-e-Khordad Metro Station and Saadi Metro Station in Line 1 and Mellat Metro Station and Hasan Abad Metro Station in Line 2. This station is 19 meters underground and has elevator access.

Shohaday-e Haftom-e-Tir Indoor Stadium is one of the oldest indoor arenas in Tehran which has been built in 1957. This arena is located on Fayyazbakhsh street. It is mostly used for Wrestling competitions.The Shooting at the 1974 Asian Games was held at this Sports Hall.

The Museum of the Islamic Era (Persian: موزه دوران اسلامی) is one of the museums of the National Museum of Iran, located near of Imam Khomeini Square, Tehran, Iran. Most of the objects in this museum are selected from the works of scientific excavations or prestigious collections such as Sheikh Safi al-Din Khānegāh and Shrine Ensemble. The National Museum of Iran has two main sections: Museum of Ancient Iran and Museum of the Islamic Era; The Museum of the Islamic Era is dedicated to displaying historical monuments and objects of post-Islamic Iran.In the Museum of the Islamic Era, a large section is dedicated to Qurans and manuscripts, in which gold-plated Qurans with Kufic scripts of early Islam can be seen. In another part, there are inscriptions of manuscripts or Quran and hadiths in the form of Epigraphy or Mihrab.

Malek National Museum and Library (Persian: کتابخانه و موزه ملی ملک) is a museum and national library in Tehran, Iran. Malek National Library and Museum Institution (MNLMI) is the first private museum of Iran, and one of the six large libraries holding the exquisite manuscripts. The MNLMI collection is a rich trove of the best manuscripts and Iranian historical artworks. The Institution is located in the historical precinct of “Bagh-e Melli”, that is considered the cultural-historical center of Tehran. Usually, the MNLM visitors are numerous university students and researchers, as well as tourists who enjoy its library and museum facilities. It is one of the biggest libraries of precious manuscripts in Iran, built by Hadji Hussein Agha Malek, the richest man in Iran at the time. He built it in a traditional Persian architecture style. One of the biggest contributors is Esat Malek Malek, Hadji Hussein Agha Malek's eldest daughter, who contributed to the museum's development.

City Park (Persian: پارک شهر, Park-e Shahr), with its 26 hectares (64 acres), is an urban park located in the central Tehran, Iran. It is the first public park in Tehran. City Park surrounded by Fayaz Bakhsh Street from the north, Hafez Street from the west, Behesht Street from the south and Khayyam Street from the east. The Tehran Peace Museum is located at the northern gate of this park. Other notable sites of the park include a bird garden, an aquarium, and a central library. In December 2014, Park-e Shahr Birdwatching Site was opened to elevate the public awareness toward eco-tourism and birds. You can see over 50 local and migratory birds in Park-e Shahr.

ToopKhāneh (Persian: توپخانه; which literally means "Artillery Barracks"), also spelt as Tūpkhāneh, is a major town square (Maidan-e Toopkhaneh) and a neighborhood in the south of the central district of the city of Tehran, Iran. It was built in 1867 by an order of Amir Kabir and Commissioned in 1867. After the Iranian Revolution, it was renamed Imam Khomeini Square (میدان امام خمینی). Cheragh Bargh (Amir Kabir) street ends-up to this square, and Naserie (Naser Khosrow) street, Bob Homayoun street, Sepah street, Ferdowsi street and Lalezar street find ways to other directions.Buildings like Telegraphkhane, Municipality Palace and the Imperial bank building surrounded the square. The Telegraphkhane and the Municipality Palace were demolished in 1970 and 1969 respectively.

The National Museum of Iran (Persian: موزهٔ ملی ایران Mūze-ye Melli-ye Irān) is located in Tehran, Iran. It is an institution formed of two museums; the Museum of Ancient Iran and the Museum of Islamic Archaeology and Art of Iran, which were opened in 1937 and 1972, respectively. The institution hosts historical monuments dating back through preserved ancient and medieval Iranian antiquities, including pottery vessels, metal objects, textile remains, and some rare books and coins. It also includes a number of research departments, categorized by different historical periods and archaeological topics. National Museum of Iran is the world's most important museum in terms of preservation, display and research of archaeological collections of Iran, and currently displays works that express the richness of culture, civilization, art, economic growth and technological achievements of Iranians.

The Telegraphkhane building (Persian: ساختمان تلگرافخانه) or the Postkhane building (Persian: ساختمان پستخانه) was a building in Tehran, Iran, that was used as museum of post and telegraph. It was built during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi in Toopkhaneh square, and was destroyed in 1970.

Dār ul-Funun (Persian: دارالفنون Persian pronunciation: [dɒːɾolfʊˈnuːn], meaning "polytechnic college") is the oldest Western-style institute of higher education in Iran, established by the royal vizier to Nasereddin Shah in 1851.
