Pétange

Pétange railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Péiteng, French: Gare de Pétange, German: Bahnhof Petingen) is a railway station serving Pétange, in south-western Luxembourg. It is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station is the main terminus of Line 60, which connects Luxembourg City to the Red Lands of the south of the country. It is also located on Line 70, which connects Luxembourg City to the south-west, continuing to Athus in Belgium and Longwy in France. The station was created as the main hub of the Prince Henri Railway. Adjacent to the CFL station is a platform served by Train 1900. From here the line runs up the hill to Fond-de-Gras. It originally served the region's iron mines. From 1873 until 1969, Pétange was the terminus of the Attert Line (Ligne d'Attert) which provided a direct connection to Ettelbruck.

Linger (Luxembourgish: Lénger) is a small town in the commune of Bascharage, in south-western Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 577.

Commune of Bascharage was a former commune in Luxembourg. Its main city was Bascharage with a population of 5387. On 1 January 2012 the existing communes of Bascharage and Clemency with its main city Clemency with a population of 1832 were merged into one commune named Käerjeng. Clemency was assigned as the capital of the merged commune. The law creating the commune of Käerjeng was passed on 24 May 2011.

Lamadelaine railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Rolléng, French: Gare de Lamadelaine, German: Bahnhof Rollingen) is a railway station serving Lamadelaine, in the commune of Pétange, in south-western Luxembourg. It is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station is situated on Line 70, which connects the south-west of the country to Luxembourg City.

Stade Municipal is a football stadium in Pétange, in south-western Luxembourg. It is currently the home stadium of Union Titus Pétange. The stadium has a capacity of 2,400.

Titelberg (Luxembourgish: Tëtelbierg) is the site of a large Celtic settlement or oppidum in the extreme south west of Luxembourg. In the 1st century BCE, this thriving community was probably the capital of the Treveri people. The site thus provides telling evidence of urban civilization in the century before the Roman conquest.

Niederkorn railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Nidderkuer, French: Gare de Niederkorn, German: Bahnhof Niederkorn) is a railway station serving Niederkorn, in the commune of Differdange, in south-western Luxembourg. It is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station is situated on Line 60, which connects Luxembourg City to the Red Lands of the south of the country.

Lamadelaine (Luxembourgish: Rolléng; German: Rollingen) is a town in the commune of Pétange, Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 2,335.

The Minett Park Fond-de-Gras is an open-air museum including Fond-de-Gras, the village of Lasauvage, the former open-pit mine "Giele Botter" and the Celtic oppidum of Titelberg. Thanks to its wide thematic variety, the Minett Park offers many complementary activities, the red wire of which is iron ore. It is located in the south of Luxembourg.

Stade Jos Haupert is a football stadium in Niederkorn, in southwestern Luxembourg. It is currently the home stadium of FC Progrès Niederkorn. The stadium has a capacity of 2,800.

Niederkorn (Luxembourgish: Nidderkuer) is a town in the commune of Differdange, in south-western Luxembourg, on the Chiers river (German: Korn), from which it takes its name. As of March 31, 2020, the town has a population of 7,272.Niederkorn is home to FC Progrès Niederkorn, a football team in Luxembourg's National Division. A new hospital, the "Hôpital Princesse Marie-Astrid", built between January 2003 and June 2007, is located in Niederkorn . The #1 TICE bus connects Niederkorn with Differdange, Belvaux and Esch-sur-Alzette. Niederkorn is connected to Luxembourg City via a train line that stops in Berchem, Bettembourg, Noertzange, Schifflange, Esch-sur-Alzette, Belval Université, Belval Redange, Belvaux Soleuvre, Oberkorn, and Differdange, before arriving in either Athus or Rodange. Students attending Miami University Dolibois European Center are housed with families in Niederkorn, as it is a 10-minute bus ride from the chateau. Niederkorn is the birthplace of Tessy Antony, ex-wife of Prince Louis of Luxembourg.

Rodange railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Rodange, French: Gare de Rodange, German: Bahnhof Rodingen) is a railway station serving Rodange, in the commune of Pétange, in south-western Luxembourg. It is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company, and served by both CFL trains and those of the Belgian state operator, NMBS/SNCB. The station is situated on Line 70, which connects the south-west of the country to Luxembourg City; at Rodange, the line branches, and connects to both the Belgian town of Athus and the French town of Longuyon (via Longwy). It is also located on Line 80, and is the only Luxembourgian station served by that line.
