Man Kam To

Man Kam To Control Point (Chinese: 文錦渡管制站) is a border control point in Man Kam To, New Territories, Hong Kong, within the Closed Area on the border with Shenzhen, Guangdong. It was the first vehicular clearance border crossing in Hong Kong. Its counterpart across the border is the Wenjindu Port, located within Luohu District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. Until 1985, when the Sha Tau Kok border crossing opened, Man Kam To Control Point was the only vehicular link between Hong Kong and China.

San Uk Ling (Chinese: 新屋嶺) is a village in Man Kam To, North District, Hong Kong.

Muk Wu Village (Chinese: 木湖村) is a Punti walled village in Ta Kwu Ling, in the north of the New Territories across the Man Kam To border crossing point in Hong Kong. Before 4 January 2016, it was inaccessible to non-permit holders (see Closed Area Permit). These were obtained in Fanling, Sheung Shui Closed Area Permit police station. As the name suggests, originally the village had fertile land with trees and streams derived from the Chinese characters: "wood" (木); "lake" (湖). This name derived from the location on the northern periphery right next to the border fence; the Shenzhen River is only a few feet away.

The Sha Tau Kok River (Chinese: 沙頭角河; pinyin: Shātóujiǎo Hé; Hong Kong Hakka: Sa1tiu2gok5 Ho2), is a river between Hong Kong and Shenzhen serving as a part of the land border between Hong Kong SAR and Mainland China. Along with Sham Chun River and Chung Ying Street, the river serves as the natural boundary between the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong and the Special Economic Zone of Shenzhen. It is situated at the northeastern corner of North District, Hong Kong and the southeastern corner of Shenzhen, Guangdong. It flows from its source at the Sham Chun River near Pak Kung Au and eastward into Starling Inlet, which is then connected to Mirs Bay.

San Uk Ling Holding Centre (Chinese: 新屋嶺扣留中心) is a detention centre in Man Kam To, Hong Kong. Located a few hundred metres away from the Man Kam To Control Point, a border crossing facility between Hong Kong and China, the centre opened in July 1979 to house illegal immigrants prior to their repatriation. Infamous for the remoteness, San Uk Ling was used to detain protesters during the 2019 protests. Controversial allegations of mistreatment and sexual violence in the detention facility had emerged, which were vehemently denied by the police.

Renmin South station (Chinese: 人民南站; pinyin: Rénmín Nán Zhàn) is a Metro station of Shenzhen Metro Line 9. It opened on 28 October 2016. This station is located under the intersection of Renmin South Road and Chunfeng Road.

Hubei station (traditional Chinese: 湖貝站; simplified Chinese: 湖贝站; pinyin: Húbèi Zhàn; Jyutping: wu4 bui3 zaam6) is a station of Shenzhen Metro Line 2. It opened on 28 June 2011.

Luohu station (simplified Chinese: 罗湖站; traditional Chinese: 羅湖站; pinyin: Luóhú Zhàn; Cantonese Jyutping: Lo4 Wu4 Zaam6) is an underground terminus of Line 1 of the Shenzhen Metro in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. It is located beneath the East Plaza of Shenzhen railway station in Shenzhen's Luohu District. It is the second-busiest station in the network in terms of system entries and exits, with approximately 56,400 passengers a day.Opened on 28 December 2004, Luohu station offers interchange to the Guangzhou–Shenzhen railway at Shenzhen railway station, and to the Hong Kong MTR at Lo Wu station. Two tracks run through the station, with platforms on either side; passengers board from the central island platform and alight on the side platforms. This configuration is known as the Spanish solution.

Guomao station (simplified Chinese: 国贸站; traditional Chinese: 國貿站; pinyin: Guómào Zhàn; lit. 'International Trade Centre station'; Cantonese Jyutping: Gwok3 Mau6 Zaam6), is a station on Line 1 of the Shenzhen Metro. It opened on 28 December 2004. It is located underneath the junction of Renmin South Road (人民南路) and Jiabin Road (嘉宾路; 嘉賓路) in Luohu District, Shenzhen, China. It is named after the Guomao Building (International Trade Centre Building) (国贸大厦; 國貿大廈). Along with the adjacent Laojie Station (where it is now used for cross-platform interchange), Guomao Station has an unusual layout with the two tracks situated above each other on two levels.

Luohu District is a district of Shenzhen, China, located north of the New Territories of Hong Kong, east of Futian District, southeast of Longgang District, southwest of Pingshan District, and west of Yantian District. It is one of the oldest parts of the city, having represented Shenzhen as a fishing village before 1953 and a market town from 1953 to 1979, when Bao'an County was promoted to a prefecture-level city and renamed Shenzhen.

Lo Wu Control Point (Chinese: 羅湖管制站) is a Hong Kong immigration control point in Lo Wu, New Territories. It sits within the Frontier Closed Area that runs along the border with mainland China. Its counterpart across the border is the Luohu Port in Shenzhen, China. The control point is integrated with Lo Wu station of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR). In 2015, 83.2 million people passed through Lo Wu Control Point, making it the busiest control point in Hong Kong. It is open from 06:30 to 00:00 midnight daily.

Sandy Ridge (simplified Chinese: 沙岭; traditional Chinese: 沙嶺; pinyin: Shā Lǐng), is a hill on the east side of Lo Wu in the New Territories, Hong Kong. The village of Sha Ling (沙嶺), is located south of the hill besides Man Kam To Road. Sandy Ridge is completely within the Closed Area of Hong Kong adjacent to the territory's border with Shenzhen in mainland China.
