The Battle of Fatshan Creek (佛山水道之戰) was a naval engagement fought between the United Kingdom's Royal Navy and the Cantonese fleet of Qing China on 1 June 1857. Rear-Admiral Sir Michael Seymour sought out and destroyed the Chinese fleet before advancing to the city of Canton (modern-day Foshan) for its capture.

Foshan (UK: , US: ), alternately romanized as Fatshan, is a prefecture-level city in central Guangdong Province, China. The entire prefecture covers 3,848 km2 (1,486 sq mi) and had a population of 9,498,863 as of the 2020 census. Foshan Ancestral Temple aka. Foshan Zumiao is a Daoist temple in Foshan, Guangdong, China. It is a national AAAA tourist attraction approved by the China National Tourism Administration, covering an area of 25,000 square metres (270,000 sq ft). Foshan Ancestral Temple captures a million visitors at home and abroad every year with its well preserved ancient construction complex and its luxuriant folk culture. Foreign leaders and celebrities of various counties are frequent visitors to the temple.

Zumiao Station (Chinese: 祖庙站; lit. 'Ancestral Temple Station'), is a metro station on Guangfo Line (FMetro Line 1), which will be the future interchange station between Guangfo Line (FMetro Line 1) and FMetro Line 5. It is located under Jianxin Road (建新路) east of its junction with Zumiao Road (祖庙路) in the Chancheng District of Foshan, near the Foshan Ancestral Temple. The station lies in the central business district of Foshan old city and was completed on 3 November 2010.

Chao'an Station (Chinese: 朝安站; pinyin: Cháo'ān Zhàn; Jyutping: ciu4ngon1 zaam6) is a metro station on the Guangzhou Metro's Guangfo Line (FMetro Line 1). It is located underground at the junction of Zhaoxiang Road (兆祥路) and North Chao'an Road (朝安北路) in the Chancheng District of Foshan. The station is surrounded by textile and cotton factories and is near the Huanshi Children's Garments Trade Centre (环市童装交易中心), China's largest children garment trade centre. It was completed on 3 November 2010.

Renshou Temple (simplified Chinese: 仁寿寺; traditional Chinese: 仁壽寺; pinyin: Rénshòu Sì) is a Buddhist temple situated in downtown Foshan, Guangdong, China.

The Crowne Plaza Foshan is a hotel in Foshan, Guangdong. It opened in 1987 as the Foshan Hotel (simplified Chinese: 佛山宾馆; traditional Chinese: 佛山賓館; pinyin: Fóshān Bīnguǎn). Located in the heart of the Pearl River Delta, Foshan is an old town that has recently seen a transformation brought about by China's booming economy.

Foshan Lingnan Mingzhu Gymnasium (Chinese: 佛山岭南明珠体育馆) is an indoor sporting arena located in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China. Opened in 2006, the capacity of the arena is 8,324 spectators. It hosts indoor sporting events such as basketball and volleyball and is the home of the Foshan Dralions who play in the Chinese Basketball Association league. The arena also hosted the boxing events at the 2010 Asian Games.

Liang's Garden (Chinese: 梁园; pinyin: Liángyuán; Jyutping: Leung4 jyun2, also known as Liang Yuan), is located in Foshan, China, and is one of four famous gardens in Guangdong Province. (The other three famous gardens are: Yuyin Garden, Keyuan and Qinghui Garden.) Liang's Garden contains residencies, pagodas, sculptures lakes with fine gardens of trees, shrubs and flowers. It includes the Twelve-Stone House(十二石斋), Qunxing Thatched Cottage (群星草堂), Fenjiang Thatched Cottage (汾江草芦) and the Hanxiang House (寒香馆), among others.It is a traditional private garden that belongs to Liang's family. The builders are uncles and nephews of the family: Liang Airu, Liang Jiuzhang, Liang Jiuhua and Liang Jiutu. They built in the Qing empire 1796, carefully built over 40 years. In the early Republic period (about 1912), the garden was nearly destroyed. In 1982, Foshan government saved and protected Qunxing Thatched Cottage. In 1990, Liang's Garden was given cultural relic protection status by the Guangdong provincial government. In 1994, large-scale total repair began, which covered a land of 21.260 square meter.

New Plaza Stadium (Chinese: 佛山新广场体育场) was a multi-use stadium in Foshan, China. It was used mostly for football matches and was one of the six stadiums used for the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup. The stadium had a capacity of 14,000 people.
