Pounds Army Air Field

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport (IATA: TYR, ICAO: KTYR, FAA LID: TYR) is a city-owned, public-use airport located 3 mi (4.8 km) west of Tyler, in Smith County, Texas, United States.The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 called it a "primary commercial service" airport. Federal Aviation Administration records show 76,168 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 73,841 in 2009, and 74,357 in 2010.The airport has been expanding to meet goals in the Tyler Master Plan; on August 17, 2002, the airport opened a new terminal building, doubling its space. Tyler is a large center for general aviation, with three public parking lots for general aviation.

Christian Heritage School is a private, coeducational, college preparatory Christian school located in Tyler, Texas. The school houses grades from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and currently has a total school enrollment of approximately 200 students.

Tyler High School, formerly known as John Tyler High School, is a public, co-educational secondary school in Tyler, Texas. It is part of the Tyler Independent School District and serves 9th through 12th grade. In 2020, the Tyler I. S. D. school board voted to change the name of the High School from John Tyler High (named after the 10th President of the United States), to Tyler High.

KZEY (690 AM) was an American radio station licensed to serve Tyler, Texas, United States. The station, established in 1958, was owned by Community Broadcast Group, Inc.When the station fell silent in January 2007, KZEY had been broadcasting an urban adult contemporary music format to the greater Tyler-Longview, Texas metropolitan area.In 2005, the station encountered financial and technical difficulties resulting in the station's license being temporarily pulled and the KZEY call sign deleted from the database maintained by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on October 19, 2005. Four months after the station was deleted from the database, the station was re-licensed and reassigned the KZEY call sign by the FCC on February 2, 2006.In June 2006, the station's owner suffered a stroke and the station went off the air for good in January 2007. In a February 2011 letter to the FCC, the owner indicated that he was surrendering the station's broadcast license as well as the licenses for ten sister stations in similar dire circumstances. On May 2, 2011, the station's license was cancelled and the KZEY call sign assignment was deleted permanently from the FCC database.

The Caldwell Zoo is an 85-acre (34 ha) zoo located in the city of Tyler, Texas. It features animals from all over the world. The Caldwell Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

Fair Park was a ballpark located in Tyler, TX and home to the Texas League Tyler Sports for only one season in 1932.

The Rose Garden Center, or the Tyler Municipal Rose Garden, is a historic, municipal garden of roses in Tyler, Texas. It is the largest collection of roses in the United States. It is one of the largest tourist attractions in Tyler, it is the location of the Tyler Rose Museum, and is part of the annual Texas Rose Festival.The Rose Garden Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 22, 2019, for its role in regional and state tourism.

Mike Carter Field is a stadium in Tyler, Texas. It is primarily used for baseball and was the home of Tyler Wildcatters. The ballpark has a capacity of 4,000 people and opened in 1941. The field is the home of the Tyler Junior College Apaches baseball team.

Butler College (1905–1972) was an American co-educational black school in Tyler, Texas. It started as a combined elementary and high school, it became a junior college by 1924, and by 1951 it was a senior college before reverting back to a junior college in 1960. Butler College closed in 1972, after an enrollment decline. A historical plaque for Butler College (marker 15480) was erected near 1900 Bellwood Road by Texas Historical Commission in 2008.

New Harmony is an unincorporated community in Smith County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. The community is centered around the historic 155 year old New Harmony Baptist Church.

Swan is an unincorporated community in central Smith County, Texas, United States. It is located on U.S. Highway 69, three miles north of Tyler. According to the Handbook of Texas, in "...1892 Swan had a population of 200, ten fruit growers, a blacksmith, a carpenter, two doctors, a railroad agent, three schoolteachers, three cotton gins, a general store, and a sawmill." Swan is currently home to a long-standing popular motocross track. The community is part of the Tyler Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Chandler is a city in Henderson County, Texas, United States, at the northern end of Lake Palestine. Its population was 3,275 at the 2020 census, up from 2,734 at the 2010 census.
