Rabenklippe

The Taubenklippe is a rock formation in the Harz mountains in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It lies about halfway between Bad Harzburg and Ilsenburg at a height of 572 m above NN on the eastern slopes of the Ecker valley. From the crag there is a good view over Harz Foreland, the heights near Bad Harzburg and the highest mountain in the Har, the Brocken. The Taubenklippe may be reached from the Ecker valley on a footpath, some 6 km long, that starts in Ilsenburg. The Taubenklippe is checkpoint number 4 in the Harzer Wandernadel hiking trail network. The Ahlsburg or Alerdestein was an Imperial castle near Stapelburg in the present-day Harz district, in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Am Kruzifix is an ancient forest landmark in the Harz Mountains of Germany. Today it is recalled by an iron cross or crucifix at the junction of several hiking trails.

The Sachsenbrunnen is an enclosed spring at the Säperstelle near Bad Harzburg in the Harz Mountains of Germany. It is located on the Emperor Way (Kaiserweg) south of the spa town. From here drinking water was piped to castle of Harzburg over several hundred metres of clay tubes in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. The Säperstelle is checkpoint no. 121 in the Harzer Wandernadel hiking network.

The Muxklippe is a granite rock formation in the Harz National Park in Germany.

The Scharfenstein is a mountain, 697.6 m above sea level (NN) high, in the Harz Mountains of Germany, near Ilsenburg in the district of Harz in Saxony-Anhalt. It is part of the Harz National Park.

The Molkenhaus near Bad Harzburg is a wooden house built in 1822, where cattle from the hillside pastures used to be milked without having to be driven miles to the surrounding farms. The house was owned by the manor (Domäne or Rittergut) of Bündheim-Bad Harzburg and, today, has been extended into a popular restaurant for day trippers and hikers. The property lies on the shores of the Hasselteich pond, about 3 km (1.9 mi) south of Bad Harzburg, east of the Rudolfklippe crags on a valley water meadow. Its predecessor was built in 1665 by the Amtmann, Johann Heinrich von Uslar, on the eastern slopes of the Seilenberg hill. The house is checkpoint no. 169 in the Harzer Wandernadel hiking trail network.

The Ecker Dam (German: Eckertalsperre) is a gravity dam in the Harz mountain range near Bad Harzburg, Germany. Constructed between 1939 and 1943, it is today operated by the Harzwasserwerke company. The dam's reservoir impounds the waters of the Ecker river and mainly serves for drinking water supply.

The Harzburg, also called Große Harzburg ("Great Harz Castle"), is a former imperial castle, situated on the northwestern edge of the Harz mountain range overlooking the spa resort of Bad Harzburg in Goslar District in the state of Lower Saxony, Germany. It was erected from 1065 to 1068 at the behest of King Henry IV of Germany, slighted during the Saxon Rebellion in 1073-75, and a century later rebuilt under Emperor Frederick Barbarossa and his Welf successor Otto IV, who died here in 1218. Later used as a robber baron's lair, the hill castle crumbled into ruins over the centuries. Today it has almost completely disappeared; only fragments of the foundation walls and the towers together with the castle well are preserved.

The Großer Burgberg is a ca. 483 m (1,585 ft) high hill on the northern rim of the Harz mountains range, right on the edge of Bad Harzburg in Lower Saxony.

The Butterberg is an elongated hill northeast of the spa town of Bad Harzburg in Goslar district, in the German state of Lower Saxony. Its long crest, which since 1952 is protected as a nature reserve, reaches a height of 308 m above NN. Part of the northern Harz foothills, the hill is located north of the Harz Nature Park at the rim of the Harz National Park. The Butterberg is part of the Harz - Brunswick Land - Eastphalia National Geopark; its steeply inclined strata belong to the Northern Harz Boundary Fault. In the west, the hill is bounded by the Radau river and the parallel Bundesstraße 4 highway. The mountain-ridge path offers scenic views to the Harz mountains and over the North German Plain. The name Butter is associated with Low German buten (i.e. "outside", c.f. Buten and binnen). These are therefore hills lying outside or on the edge of given places. There are many other "Butterberg" hills in German-speaking regions.

The Langenberg (German pronunciation: [ˈlaŋənˌbɛʁk] ) is an elongated chalk hill north of Göttingerode and south of Harlingerode in the spa town of Bad Harzburg in Goslar district, in the German state of Lower Saxony. Due to its obvious display of the Northern Harz Boundary Fault in the Langenberg chalk quarry and the discovery of the Europasaurus in 1998 in said quarry, this mountain has gained national geological relevance.
