Old Arley is a village in the civil parish of Arley, in the north of Warwickshire, England, 5.5 miles (8.9 km) west of Nuneaton and 10 miles (16 km) north west of the city of Coventry.

Ansley is a civil parish in Warwickshire consisting of Ansley, Ansley Common, Church End, Birchley Heath and, previously, Ansley Hall Colliery. Ansley is on the River Bourne, a tributary of the River Tame. The parish is 526 ft above sea level. The Arley Tunnel runs underneath Ansley village. Built in 1864 it forms part of the Birmingham to Leicester railway line.

Fillongley, listed as Fillungeleye in 1135, is a village and civil parish in the North Warwickshire district of Warwickshire in England. The village is centred on the crossroads of the B4102 (which connects Solihull and Nuneaton) and the B4098 (connecting Coventry and Tamworth). The population of the parish taken at the 2011 census was 1,484. It is situated 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east of Bedworth, 6.5 miles (10.5 km) south-west of Nuneaton and an equal distance north-west of Coventry. Fillongley is further from the sea than any other settlement in Great Britain, being 75 miles (120 km) from the nearest coast.

Daw Mill was a coal mine located near the village of Arley, near Nuneaton, in the English county of Warwickshire. The mine was Britain's biggest coal producer. It closed in 2013 following a major fire. It was the last remaining colliery in the West Midlands.

Fillongley Castle was a motte and bailey castle and later a fortified manor house in Fillongley in Warwickshire, England. Today, only earthworks and partial ruins exist.The Castle Yard site has been a scheduled ancient monument since 1951. The Castle Hill or Hills site has been a scheduled ancient monument since 1925.

Astley is a small village and civil parish within the North Warwickshire district of Warwickshire, England. In the 2001 census it had a population of 219, reducing slightly to 218 at the 2011 census. Astley is Knebly in George Eliot's Mr Gilfil's Love Story. Eliot's parents were married in the church.

Over Whitacre is a village containing the hamlets of Botts Green, Furnace End and Monwode Lea in North Warwickshire, Warwickshire, England. The population of the village at the 2011 census was 411. It is located near other villages, Nether Whitacre and Whitacre Heath, although Whitacre heath is actually the heath of Nether Whitacre and not a separate parish. The nearby hamlet of Furnace End probably derives its name from iron smelting furnaces owned by the Jennens of Nether Whitacre. The village today is mainly residential and agricultural, but there is some light industry. The village appears in the Domesday Book so it was already established in the Saxon period. However, objects belonging to much earlier Neolithic and Bronze Age times have been found in the soil. Whitacre was spelt then as 'Witecore' which means white field. The area has many stone-built buildings of the 17th and 18th centuries. The 18th-century parish church of St Leonards is situated on the main road between Coventry and Tamworth (the B4098 or old A47). It is of classical Italian style, built in 1766 on the site of an earlier foundation. Two of the oldest buildings in the parish are Barbers Farm, dating to 1586 and The Bothie at Botts Green.

Astley Castle is a ruinous moated fortified 16th century manor house in North Warwickshire, England. It has been listed as a Grade II* listed building since 1952 and as a Scheduled Ancient Monument since 1994. It was derelict and neglected since it was severely damaged by fire in 1978 whilst in use as a hotel and was officially a Building at Risk. The building reopened as a holiday let in 2012 after extensive and novel renovations that combine modern elements within the (mostly) renaissance remains. In 2013, Astley Castle won the Royal Institute of British Architects Stirling Prize for architecture, as an "exceptional example" of the blending of an ancient monument with modern architecture.

Bentley is a village and civil parish in the North Warwickshire district of Warwickshire, England, about two miles south-west of Atherstone. According to the 2001 Census it had a population of 101. From the 2011 Census the population of Bentley has been included in Merevale.
